Too bad Tamiya shows it as discontinued on their site

I have been using the OC indicators as well. A little pricey to get them to the US but work great.

I cant recall a real aircraft that i have flown that has a center detent in the trim wheels. I assume you want to have center detent for convenience and this is for the P-51?

those are single turn pots. I have yet to come across a multi turn that has em

Just to clarify things for people who havent picked up on it VFR and IFR have nothing to do with weather conditions. VFR and IFR are what "requirements" the flight is being operated under. IMC (Instrument Meteorological Conditions) and VMC (Visual Meteorological Conditions) are the weather you are currently operating in. The common term "Cleared Visual...." is used in VMC Conditions only. There are also cases where you will get a Named visual approach. Here in Austin there is the "I-35 Visual approach" even though its a VMC only procedure there is an approach plate for it and it lists visibility and ceiling requirements. What Constitutes VMC is determined by what airspace you are operating in. I will not go into details on that Also EHAM is UK CLASS A not ICAO CLASS A (confusing to us Americans)

I have never seen a multi turn pot that has a center detente (that's not to say they don't exist). What are you using it for?

ARGGG!! I come to these forums to get away from my work and now Its just like reading my requirements :smilewink: Im a software performance engineer.

Leap Motion looks promising

There is a 64 bit softTH -
I'll take one as well. Lemme know if you have knobs for other panels. I need them for lighting panel, environment panel, sas, fuel panel, stall , and aux lighting panel.

How much for one drilled?
-
We dont have them in DCSWorld but alot of fast movers also have an HI-ILS approach that starts anywhere from 12,000 to 20,000+ feet and is a very rapid decent. An example can be found here

One more thing just to be anal. When using IAM you should set your alt of the TDZ to the TDZ elevation +50 feet. Typically the glideslope is designed to bring you down over any obstacals to 50 feet above the TDZ elevation. Now the charts i mentioned do not list TDZ elevation for the runways. I dont know if DCS allowes sloped runways so its prolly not a big deal. Just thought i would mention it for completeness

actually the lat/long of the threshold is in the Included Aerodrome Charts included in the Docs directory

follow this guide and it will help you identify your bottlenecks... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=107551 if you have any questions lemme know. my gut feeling is based on your specs that your cpu and vram may be the limiting factors here. i have a 6970 and with 1920x1840 i burn up most(all) of my 2GB vram if you dont have enough Vram your system will have to transfer stuff from system ram to the video card more often which can affect performance, EDIT: I just noticed that you only have 4GB of system ram as well...on my system i use about 3.8-6GB of commit for the sim...so you should also check if you are swapping and how badly. i use radeon pro to check out my GPU Vram values while flying EDIT: another great tool is process explorer from sysinternals...it will show everything including GPU metrics

Should i get DCS: A-10C now for 60% off?
whartsell replied to c17globemaster's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I dont think A-10 has even been blow 15 bucks that I can recall..so Its a good deal even at 5 times that price -
if you are doing a facsimile of an IAA approach one important note is that you do NOT use the steer point of the Airport. You need to verify that the steer point is set to the coordinates of the TDZ of the intended runway. If you use the airport steer point it will most likely guide you to the center of the field and not the RWY. If you are attempting IAA it means that you dont have visual so by using the wrong steerpoint you can get into trouble real quick Also you should go into the nav/attrib/ for your TDZ waypoint and set the scale to approach as well as vnav to 3D and selected vertical angle to enter and enter the appropriate vertical angle for approach (typically 3 deg) by doing this you will get accurate horizontal as well as vertical steering indications to fly an IAA like approach. Manual page 226 covers the Nav / Attrib sub page of the CDU

I think there *may* be a few alternatives around this in theory. It would be a kludge and the end result could be a MP mission loading twice. Or If using something like slmod the mission would load once on a -load command from the admin.
-
One more thing. I'm not trying to be too pickey. I am not primarily concerned with reality vs the sim. If the sim uses x value regardless of the authenticity of said x I'm ok using that.
-
I stand corrected. I did some research and found your earlier posts. I didn't think about updated data in interference drag on the stations. One discrepancy I still see is with regards to 2 aim9ms on station calculated with your numbers vs the app.
-
That's why I asked the source of the discrepancy. I doubt the aerodynamic properties of the agm65 changed since the 80s. If drag indexes changed it would have to be the result of a whole new flight test regime with a new 0 drag index based baseline. Considering some ordinance have different values and some do not I doubt that's the case. Just because a manual is old doesn't mean the data is obsolete. Design changes cause obsolescence not age.
-
In doing some flight planning with your wonder app I noticed one discrepancy. The drag indexes seem to be wrong for a few weapons. For example in your planned 3xAGM-65 have a drag index of 2.96 but according to TO-1A-10A1-A-10A Chart A1-7 you get: 3xAGM-65: .35 x 3 = 1.05 1xLAU-88A: .61 x 1 = 0.61 total:1.66 I have noticed that the values in your app are different for the AN/ALQ-131 as well. do you have a source for your drag index data other than the -1-1?

For you ATI users out there, Im sure you notice that the Catalyst CCC sucks. I started using Radeon Pro a while back and love it. It will override your CCC settings and i like its auto loading of profiles and ability to tweak things to more detail (of course you could really make a mess of things as well).

Any idea when you will have PCBs available for purchase?
-
How'd you get it to work in MP? Thought it was not supported

What model Cobys are you running?
