  1. Looks like an issue on ED's side, is this happening only with the M-2000C?
  2. Ok, that was a DCS-specific question, nevermind then - I didn't fly with the new RWR yet. I will wait for the next stable release then I might be able to comment ;) Regarding systems, there is only one switch for the RWR, so it should be quite straightforward. No funky configuration that I know of.
  3. I don't think the IR detection works at such distance, otherwise all fighters would have it already, in practice it seems only fitted on A-G specialized A/C. The one (D²M) that exists for the Mirage-2000 is used on the D version which is the ground attack variant. How does that translate on the RWR? Sorry not familiar with all terms (nail?). Thanks!
  4. Yes, that's what "pitbull" is - going active with on-board radar. My understanding is that launch warnings against SARH were possible when the radar would change it's emitting pattern from STT lock to weapon guidance, the RWR would pick up the difference. To sum it up, here's what I understood from various discussions: SARH: Lock warning when locked in STT Launch warning when switching to weapon guidance. [*]ARH (with datalink): Lock warning when locked in STT Maybe Lock warning when locked in TWS (probably not) NO launch warning, Missile alert when the missile goes pitbull
  5. Limiting insurgents make sense (it's not really a country), otherwise, I really hope those will be available to all countries. Aircraft inventory limitations should be done at the mission design level only.
  6. I think the manual has to be updated and the correct behaviour is the one you see in the sim now. I'll let someone more knowledgeable dive into the fine details ;)
  7. Something's not clear to me, are we supposed to get a warning from an AIM-120? I thought it was guided by datalink begore going pitbull. Which means you won't get a launch warning. Lock warning at best.
  8. Good you got it sorted  If you have kept the old files maybe a diff would help understanding what was the problem.
  9. I don't have much clue... What does it says in the axis tune applet? And is the TAD cursor still moving after you fiddle with the ministick? I remember that the default axis setting had a a big neutral zone and small Y saturation value. 30 for both I think.
  10. This might be why:
  11. This  The correct way is to push the stick, not use the brakes (as the "push down speed" is usually too high for safe brake operation).
  12. Maybe it's not the WH's ministick that controls your crazy TAD cursor? Try unbinding it and see if the problem is still here.
  13. I usually push it around 100kts. I think IRL they don't let drop by itself as it might damage the front gear.
  14. Good find, the ball itself seem to be OK but the triangle marker is not aligned with it.
  15. Not at all! I'm most interested by those too. See mattebubben's post above, I agree with all his points.
  16. I recommend reading this thread (you can start at the end to see what's being worked on). Giving a percentage is difficult to estimate, a common joke in the software development world is saying that 80% of the dev is done in 20% of the time and the 20% remaining accounts for 80% of the time :D
  17. I'm not a specialist but I think you get the idea. Whatever term that means others must ask you before using a name in specific context. See Vincent90's answer ;)
  18. As I already wrote, it allows tracking, so yes, better target positioning and therefore better firing solutions. That is not only ground mapping, that is ground mapping with good enough resolution to distinguish objects on ground and figure out their exact position. I.e. they lock on an object that is fixed in space where M-2000 only knows distance to designator. In addition to that, their computer probably handles wind layers to provide even better accuracy.
  19. The name itself is copyrighted where the image is not I think. The aircraft itself is not a high fidelity copy, there's a lot of guesswork, most of the material is taken from public domain. You will see many occurences of a very detailed item but the name has been changed because the rightful owner can prevent you to use it, but can't prevent you to use the image of it.
  20. That works for the "Murage" (Nevada), but I think he's refering to the aircraft here.
  21. They do indeed, they can map the ground with good resolution and "see" targets, thus allowing tracking, where TAS mode on the M-2000C will only compute range to whatever is under the piper.
  22. Try editing DCS World\Mods\aircraft\M-2000C\Cockpit\Scripts\Radio\M2KC_UVHF_Radio.lua and M2KC_UHF_Radio.lua Replace for i = 1,18 do With for i = 1,20 do I don't know if that will solve the problem, I never tried it as I was OK with the first presets, I just noticed it while looking at the radio lua.
  23. I understood that too. From a user point of view, even if the contact is still in radar's memory, it moves out of the view. This is a good visual hint that contact is lost. no square on HUD (or at impossible place) => time to unlock
  24. PiedDroit

    M2000C smoke?

Try firing them like normal missiles?
  25. Don't worry, it will quickly become second nature to press the unlock button as soon as the contact is lost ;)
