It actually started happening before the last patch. See here. It's reported.

You assume that a large portion of ED's base even knows about (let alone takes Razbam's side in) the dispute. I'm sure this has hurt both sides to some degree or another, but if you could do a scientific poll I'd be willing to wager that it's a relatively small percentage of DCS users that even know about the issue, let alone have an opinion as to which is right or wrong. I haven't dug into it, but while Razbam may have multiple clients, not sure they have a lily white reputation either, even outside DCS.

AI seeing through clouds
rob10 replied to Hammer_251's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
Yes, in a very negative way that (if I were ED) would have reduced any impact it would have had on getting the issue fixed. Honestly, it's just a rude thing to do. It's pretty much an ALL CAPs post on steroids. No one sees it until they open your post, at which point they were likely going to read it anyway, so you're not really helping your cause. In fact, I would have answered your original post a lot sooner if you hadn't done that. -
It was happening prior to the latest patch. Do some scrolling around in the forums and you'll find it. I believe it's Preset 2 that has an issue, but if you search around you'll find the other threads and can confirm that.

They're working on it, but no indication yet of release timing. ED typically don't give a release date on things until shortly before they go live on it. Might be next month (not likely we're getting a big January release due to holidays, but you get the idea), but could be 6 months or more away.

I'd make a note that your co-ordinates have to be DD MM SS.SS (rather than DD MM.MMMM). And freaking autocorrect changed your HSI to HIS at the bottom of page 1. And technically the Hornet does not use SPI or SOI (those are Viper things). You designate a target via the sensor that is PRIORITY (i.e. has the * on it) not SOI -- that's a nitpicky detail, but it can be confusing if you're switching between Hornet and Viper. Also might be worth mentioning you need to TDC depress to designate the target and send it to the JDAM (unless your WPDSG is right over the target). And make sure you UNBOX the stations unless you want to assign any designated target to all of the selected stations. Not sure if deselecting the JDAMs removes targets from it (you'll have to realign it) . You might want to check that.

Do you mean for the F-16 or the F-18? You're in the F-16 subforum but you said F-18 in your post. Is it the lever at the bottom of the joystick? That would be the "paddle switch" in the F-18 and you use it for disengaging autopilot or overriding the G limit.

Server update failed with code 401. The server will be unlisted.

This was posted earlier this morning and likely will fix your problem. 401 errors was one of the issues mentioned: -
AI seeing through clouds
rob10 replied to Hammer_251's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
And duplicating the same post in multiple sub-forums all in the same large letters isn't going to help your cause either. ED has already said the cloud mechanics are different to the fog mechanics, so it's not directly transferable. And they've indicated they'd like to make clouds more realistic in blocking LOS and IR signatures and it's something they're trying to implement without bringing our computers to a screeching halt. The answer sucks, but it's reality and not without reason: you'll have to be patient. -
In the very top right corner of the MP screen there is the Callsign you'll be shown as on the MP server (and SRS if you're using that). Try changing that (or adding a callsign if you haven't added one) -- press the pencil to the right of it. I've never seen that error, but it would suggest there is already someone on the server with the same callsign. If you've both left it to the default (can't even remember what that is) it may not like it because they'll both be the same.

reported Server list is empty or doesnt show all the servers
rob10 replied to Stasgysk's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
DCS servers had a glitch and was reported as fixed at some time after you would have posted, so should be working properly again. -
DCS won't load Gamblers campaign final mission
rob10 replied to Grubenstein's topic in Game Performance Bugs
At first glance I'd bump your pagefile to 32GB (currently using 10 GB) and drop your preload radius (currently set at 100K). Those 2 things are probably limiting your memory. -
DCS Updater can't update itself 12/15/2024
rob10 replied to kiss4luna's topic in Installation Problems
If you're running into this issue since late November I doubt it's ED's servers at fault. The forums would be screaming if a large number of people were running into this. As Silverdevil said, it can happen on an occasional short term basis (i.e. on patch release) but not extended periods. I don't have much expertise in diagnosing that type of stuff, but I'd be looking at you internet provider and whether they are throttling DCS for some reason, or something with your anti-virus/firewall blocking things. -
Super Carrier not loading after I just updated to latest version
rob10 replied to sorcerer007's topic in General Bugs
Do either of you have mods installed? Likely there is a conflict with one of them (at least one other user has reported exact same issue with this update and it was a mod conflict) so remove them and test again, then re-add until you find the culprit. Since there are very limited reports of this it's almost guaranteed a mod issue rather than a bug that ED needs to fix. -
Here is the correct place to report it, but the 1st thing you're going to be asked is "do you have any mods installed? If so remove them and test again". That's what Draconus was trying to say. Very, very, very often when people have issues (especially after a DCS update) it can be traced back to mods, and sometimes mods that they forgot they had installed. Not at all unusual for a random DCS patch to suddenly cause a mod that had been working fine for a very long time to break or cause DCS to break. Just random luck when the update changes something the mod relied on.

First thought is EASY COMM'S is on in either mission or your settings. 2nd thought is that you're obviously using at least some MOD (you've got grey screens rather than green), so start with removing them.

1st thing to check is if WINDOWS is putting the USB port it's plugged into asleep. It's been known to change them back even if you had them set not to sleep. TIR doesn't pull a lot of power some it might be seeing the port as not in use and shutting it down for "energy savings".

Super Carrier with new deckcrew won't launch F-14A/B
rob10 replied to Mac D's topic in DCS: Supercarrier
I don't really fly the F-14, but have you tried turning the lights OFF and back ON? I think you need to flash them maybe? -
The ETA is definitely borked. Same speed whole way through and the time was consistently going UP rather than down as I downloaded more.

S-3 was updated to a new higher rez model so old ones liveries aren't going to work unless they are updated.

Razbam is the just the publisher of the SA map, the developer of this map is completely separate from Razbam. So it has continued on with development despite the current conflict between Razbam and ED. That's why it's still being updated and development on the other Razbam modules are frozen.

By "browse back and forth" you mean change between pages? I tried that and made sure I was off the one I was changing before I changed it.

You've probably hit your upload limit on the forums. Go to your PROFILE and somewhere in there it will allow you to delete previously uploaded files and gain back some space.
