I am going to add an MIA portion to the scoring. If you drop out, crash your plane, go swiming in the sea, whatever, I will start counting that as a loss and 50 points will be deducted. What I will do is count those present at the end of the mission and use that to make the determination. There were many MIA's at the end of the mission on REDFOR. I know a few had connection issues, several didnt show etc. It was hard to keep track when only 12 REDFOR aircraft were actually downed by a missile and by what was defined as a combat loss. Scoring for the missles: Obviously if I had subtracted 10 points per missle that missed its target, both REDFOR and BLUEFOR would have negative point totals. Due to the modeling of missles in lockon, I have decided to score the missles differently in the future. I will take a ratio of the amount of missles missed to total missles fired. If the teams ratio is above 60% they will be awarded 200 points. 40% to 60% will be awarded 100 points. 20% to 40% will be awarded no points. below 20% will have 100 points deducted. The tacview files that were posted were not complete and I thank God that I took notes during the mission. I also took screenshots of the menu at the end to back up the notes I took. I had hoped the tacview would support the inital findings but it did not. Not with this current mission. The tertiary objective is the hardest to complete and the farthest behind enemy lines. It would be more wise to complete the Primary and Secondary objectives than make an attempt at the Tertiary.

Scoring for LOCERF 07-2 In an effort to keep the teams from having a negative score the following scoring set will be used. -50 points for Combat loss of aircraft. "Combat" is defined by being shot by either ground or air. -10 points for each weapon launch that does not hit its inteded target. (ARM's/Mavericks that get shot down by AAA or SAM will not count against your point total) +30 points for shooting down a Fighter Aircraft +40 points for shooting a Strike Aircraft +500 points for Strike Primary Objective. Scored by a precentage of how much the objective is completed: Example: 70% of the primary objective completed = +210 points +500 points for Strike Secondary Objective. Based on what has happened and in doing some reflecting on the whole situation, I have decided to change how Red Flag is run. Originally I planned on having a team of three moderators and we would work together in the logistics that are required to make Red Flag run. The new plan is now to have a moderator from each squadron. I will step down from my dictator type role and will function as part of the moderating team. As moderators we will vote on issues that pertain to Red Flag. This way we can ensure that everyones ideas are included and I am not simply handing down rules to the community. Two moderators will run each mission and will be responsible for creating and testing the mission. For LOCERF 07-2 It will be 3Sqn Fudd and I. This system will allow the other moderating staff to fly the missions. We will adopt the current rules and regs and if a moderator wants to change things he will bring it before the team for a vote. I feel that this is the best way to continue to make Red Flag work. I will have more info later on S!

Do we really have to argue about Ventrilo, or can RedFor suck it up and try it out for mission 2? I really think that running a poll for every goddamn thing is counter productive.

Yes, I will be glad to. I will be setting up a time with you X-man to go over how to use it. There were several reasons why the decision was made to use Ventrilo. The main reason was because it has tools that allow for the hearing impared to communicate with others vocally rather than by typing everything. Dont worry.... Vent allows for you to set key bindings just like Teamspeak.

Fighters will have to fly 300+ km to the FEBA. For the migs, they will be required to at least take one fuel tank on the wing if they want to have any loiter time. Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the aircraft is what prompted this decision. R-77's on the outer pylons are hardly a stretch of the imagination.

Mission 07-2 General Briefing Is OUT!!!!!

The above map illustrates the FEBA and the FARPS for both Blue and RedFor. BlueFor has pressed forward into Russian territory. BlueFor now controls the Kerch straits and have moved forces as far forward as the town of Temrujk. Red Forces are enroute to the FEBA. The forward air refueling point for BlueFor is Kerch Airbase. The forward air refueling point for RedFor is Novorrosik. Further specific briefings for both Red and BlueFor will be given later. Fighters for BlueFor will be taking off from Razdolnoe and Strike A/C will be taking off from Oktjabrskoe. Fighters for RedFor will be taking off from Sochi-Adler and Strike A/C will be taking off from Majkop. Fighter aircraft will not be able to re-arm or refuel at any other place except for home plate. Loadouts for fighter aircraft cannot be changed. Strike Aircraft can rearm and refuel at the FARP and at home plate. Loadouts can only be changed at home plate, and the aircraft performing the loadout change must request for permission from a moderator before they can leave the mission. Aircraft cannot land at any other airbase except for those listed. For example Fighter aircraft cannot land at the FARP or strike aircraft home plate. If you do so you will be asked to leave. It will not be counted as a loss if you land within friendly lines, but you will not be allowed to continue with the mission. For any aircraft that is rotating pilots. You must do so at home plate only and ask for permission from a moderator first. You must let me know before game day which aircraft the pilots are sharing, the tail number and the callsigns of the pilots. If that airframe is downed during the mission, FOR WHATEVER REASON, both pilots will be considered out. R-77’s on the outside pylons of the Mig-29S’s will be allowed. A-10’s are allowed to use Shepski’s realistic loadout mod, to include the use of 4 Aim-9’s. These are the only aircraft that are allowed to use loadout mods, no exceptions…. REDFOR WILL BE USING VENTRILO FOR THIS MISSION. This is not up for discussion, so just download it and get used to it. We will be using 3sqn’s Ventrilo server. BlueFor will be using JaBoG32’s Teamspeak Server. Their Teampeak server will be used for the outbriefing for all pilots.
