Ok to put it simply, Simappro does the following...
1. Allows you to calibrate the devices
2. Carry out firmware updates
3. Upload key binds from the cloud to your device (if you don't bind in game). These binds are made by others and are shared. Settings by others can't be viewed at the moment.
4. Sync your lighting including gear up/down etc
There's a few other things like exporting viewports and setting up virtual devices, something that I haven't done.
It has three, just bind the lower and upper positions, leave the center unbound.
... and yes you can bind each position, just leave the switch in the center before binding the upper, then put it back to the center then bind the lower
In Simappro, find the button beside the panel that says Backlighting. Click on it and set it to Sync DCS. When you jumb in to the cockpit, move the console or pnl light control (cant remember which one).
You must have Simappro running in the background
You can use the F-18 throttle grips on the Gemini. You might be able to use the F-16 grip but without the frame as the Gemini is smaller than the Orion.
MFG's with the universal pedals and damper. You won't regret it. Excellent quality and great customer service.
