I am sure its the switch which is faulty. I have tested it in the windows game controller applet and its constantly diving to bottom right hand corner. Also removed the axis in the DCS options and its fine but when I put them back it goes to slewing off to the right again. Sent an email to thrust master for replacement switch lets see what they come back with. In the meantime im going to put the slew function onto the trim POV and use some other roller switches on my strike 7 mouse and keyboard for the trim. It would actually be more realistic.

I tested it in the Windows Game Controller TEST screen and sure enough its acting erratic. Any know what would cause it to go screwy and if it could be fixed or would I need a new one?

The POV/Mouse switch on my WARTHOG HOTAS seems to be faulty. The one that controls the slew function on the MFD's Is there something I can test these in to see what they are actually doing?

Well as far as I can tell its the button on the HOTAS that is screwed seems to be constantly activating between X & Y axis

This is driving me mad. Someone must have some idea.... I am now walking around waving my fist in the air mumbling about how im going to kill my warthog:joystick:

My camera and TADS cross just drift around now as if being controlled by something else.

Since the patch my camera pod and the cursor on the TAD just constantly drift around as if something else is controlling them. Any ideas? Cheers

Skouras why don't you just plug the HOTAS into a friends PC who has old usb 2.0 ports? Then update the firm ware. Then plug them back into your pc and they should work.

Good luck dude with the USB2. I am sure this is the problem. Don't ask me why I am not technically apt but it just worked for me. As for TM support forget it they came back to me after 3 weeks and I told them how I fixed it and they obviously took absolutely no notice You mention your sticks did not work as soon as you plugged them into USB 3.0. Mine actually work fine in USB 3.0 once I updated them with the USB 2.0 port. You could just try to use someone elses computer with a USB 2.0 port to update the firmware and try them again once this is done in your USB3.0 ports.

One question. Was the Stick/Throttle working fine before you tried to update the driver? Make sure you uninstall all TM drivers before trying again using a USB2 port.

I spent around 5 hours screwing with it BTW using the USB3 port. It was the change to USB2 port that allowed it to update and work again. I hope this works for you.. Keep me posted.

My stick/throttle was working fine i like a dick i thought i would update it. I tried to update my throttle and joystick and the updater hung half way through with this error your talking about. After nothing would work and the stick throttle did nothing and was dead. Would not even recognize in windows. I unplugged it from USB3 port then followed the Bootloader Instructions as described by TM using a USB2 port again and everything loaded up fine.

I had this same shit. Finally found out that you need to make sure you have it plugged into a USB2 port NOT USB3. Once I did this it worked fine and updated.

Interesting views on what makes this SIM interesting for some and not for others. What this SIM will will do for me is bring back some fun immersion in flying online simulators. CH is modeled around Janes LB2 in terms of fun to play but takes it to the next step of having a fully working cockpit and much more in depth controls/FM and avionics. No one can sit here and say that DCS graphics are any better in terms of what we have now for NOE flying. Once CH gets to the point of allowing MP (Pilot and CPG) capability along with a dynamic campaign it will rock as a good fun SIM to play which DCS right now lacks unless one of the mission builders spends many many hours building something for all to play and those missions are few and far between at best. As we all know DCS are working hard to bring us much more in terms of content and as with CH these guys need our support to keep these things going. I just hope most will buy it and play it as I think they might be pleasantly surprised.

Joyride, is there a 1.27 version of this? Will it be enough to just open the mission file and then save it again in 1.27?

Was there ever a comprehensive users guide to using Helios?

That might be my only option now is to try and find an old back up copy.
