Hi, I use a monitor 5120*1440 with the following parameters where you define the 3D view and the GUI view in different areas: in \Config\MonitorSetup edit a monitor file like that, where the GUI is in the middle, and not spread across : Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 5120; height = 1440; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 5120 /1440; } } GU_MAIN_VIEWPORT = Viewports.Center GUI = { x = 1280; y = 0; width = 2560; height = 1440; } UIMainView = GUI

N Understood, thanks. So not the shader mods for haze reduction etc but the visibility distance "bump" Not only Visibilty Distance, open the shaders folders and see other shaders mod there.

I love the F10 icons mod that adds functionality like the rotational NATO icons mod: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3311426/ and also the bigger Russian icons mod which are already pointing to the direction of flight: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3314507/ I would very much love to have a "speed indicator" as a vector line if possible, i.e. Longer line = Faster speed, say, in increments of 100 Knots, in the direction of flight. Maybe also color difference to indicate altitudes, LO-MED-HI... I know I know...but while I'm dreaming, why not?? This way you could see direction AND speed indication of F10 Icons (aerial target only). [I'm familiar with LOT ATC, but don't want an external program]. Can be done? Any takers?? Cheers, Ron

Hi rel4y, I'm using your excellent throttle mod, and I wonder if the throttle travel could be made longer? was it thought of? With your mod onboard, it's more of a mechanical upgrade (cutting with a Dremel and making way for the throttle to move more forward using a longer printed "pusher")... A longer, extended throttle travel would give more "readings" and a more accurate engine setting I believe. Cheers, Ron

ED could simply solve this by just adding a simple checkbox as already suggested, and implemented in other planes via the "SPECIAL" menu, and enforced in MP : [V] Realistic loadout for "F-16C Block 50 operated by the United States Air Force and Air National Guard circa 2007" [ ] Non U.S. / Other countries implementation. After all, if ED allows fictional skins (defaults, not mods) on countries that do not own the Viper (and other planes) - then surly ED can allow some realistic play room in that spirit. Otherwise it will come down to community MODS, and that path should be avoided as much as possible. It's in ED's interest I believe. And last but not least - Thank you ED for this amazing project called DCS!! Cheers, Ron

Thanks for your reply! I believe you are correct in your assumptions, however I would really like to get some kind of reaction from the staff, to know, not only assume, if this is going somewhere, a backlog or the dumpster... Interaction is key here. Just being ignored is a bummer... I know not everything can be addressed quickly, but it should be at some point in time. whats the point in a thread like this getting people to think, have ideas and suggest improvements or innovations, ending being ignored many times. Does not help motivation.

Hi, I would really appreciate if I could search better/more efficient in the Downloads - user files section, for example, search all files types except skins meaning multiple select options of what I want to search in each category. It is very annoying to sort through thousands of skin files (much welcome additions though ) which saturates the user files. Possibly even save the past searches to favorites/bookmark to a user when he's logged in, if he wants to. but filtering the search better is main priority. Many thanks and happy new year!! Ron
