  1. Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately I can't get UltraMFCD to export gauges from the Spitfire and L-39C. I did try Helios, but I encounter two problems: I don't know how to properly create my own export profile, and more important, Helios crashes as soon as I use a downloaded profile. Unfortunately I've got really limited time to spend gaming/simming per week (I'm happy if I manage to game for 5 hours) and I really don't want to spend loads of time configuring lots of programs and files. That's also the reason why a quick fix like just exporting the center console to the second screen would work perfectly fine for me.
  2. Hello all, I know it has been discussed multiple times, but I haven't found the answer to my issue yet, so I hope one of you can help me or at least point me in the right direction. I wish to export some gauges in several aircraft to my second monitor, for example the airspeed indicator of the Spitfire. I have read several topics on it, mostly older ones (2014 and before), which are mainly discussing the A-10C. For that module, I find it rather easy to do and thus have succesfully exported the MFCD's to my second screen. However, no matter what I try, I can't manage to export any indicators from newer modules, like the Spitfire. Main reason for that I guess is the lack of the folder structure used in the A-10C module, where each gauge has it's own subfolder with a <GAUGENAME>_init.lua, from where you can make a viewport. Is there a way create a viewport for some of the indicators on the Spitfire, or any other relatively new plane, despite lacking the folder structure of the A-10C? If yes, where can I find a how-to guide/instructions? Exporting the whole front dash of a plane to my second monitor is, for me, also a viable option. I'm no pit-builder, I just want to be able to check on de indicators more easily. Thanks in advance for your replies! Koekie out
  3. YAY that worked! Excellent, thank you for the suggestion! Really never knew it was that easy to just export any instrument to whatever screen you wish.
  4. Really nice looking MFD card, thanks for sharing! I really need to learn how to make the good looking cards myself :D
  5. Hey guys, I'm really enjoying the M-2000C moducle but I've got two little questions: 1: are there MFD cards available for the Thrustmaster Cougar MFD pack, made by anyone (whether it be the developers or someone else)? I have all the cards from this thread (click), but unfortunately I couldn't find some for the Mirage yet. The topic-starter from aforementioned thread delivered excellent work by the way, if you don;t already have the cards go check them out ! 2: I can't find a thread where it states how to export the Mirage's radar screen to a second monitor. Currently I've got DCS set up to export the A-10C's MFCD's and the KA-50's ABRIS and TV screen to my second monitor, however the M-2000's radar screen seems to be a different viewport I guess? Can anyone direct me to a topic where a small how-to guide is, or can anyone tell me in this thread? Hope you guys can help me, thanks in advance! Cheers, Koekie
  6. ^^^ This Best AV there is, helped me preventing virusses for years and years already. People rely on AV way too much anyways... OP, try adding the DCS folder to the no-scan zone or whatever it's called, should help preventing those valse-positives.
  7. Jup, same here. Really wanted to fly an F-16 or Apache in my country (Netherlands), but my vision is too bad for that unfortunately. As an commercial airline pilot you have about zero chance to get a job here, plus the study is extremely expensive. But it's good to hear some of u manage to reacht their dream, congrats to them!:)
  8. Wow, all the people complaining about the sale ending too soon. Yeah, it's weird that they state it would last 3 days, but already stop after 2 days, but ED is NOT obliged to have sales AT ALL! Some of you guys really seem like a bunch of spoiled brats, grow up... If you really were willing to support the developer, you wouldn't even buy the modules in sale, but buy them for full price.
  9. I always flew without any curvature or deadzone and that went well, but since MiG-21 I added a 25 curvature to pitch, roll and yaw axis of all aircraft. For me it makes a huge difference, because I now can fly the aircraft with way more precision. I find especially helicopters are way more easy to fly now, but also small adjustments in your plane's flightpath are way easier to make now (for example lining up for landing, or lining your A-10C up for a gun run). I don't know whether it is because I'm not an expert at flying (yet no beginner either) or, what I think, because the joystick is rather short compared to a real thing. Personally, I would recommend adding a curvature for every aircraft, but its entirely up to you to do that or not.
  10. Thanks, these cards are awesome! Printed and laminated all of them! Are you planning to make a SU-27 MFD card as well? Would be really nice. Keep up the good work!
  11. What, you've never seen a Tu-22 carry the bomb's in their air intake? :D
  12. For me the TrackIR was interfering. Pause your TrackIR and then zoom should work again. The reason is that TrackIR forward movement is probably mapped to a 'wrong' function. I remapped it to a different function in the axis menu and it solved the problem. I unfortunately don't recall what option belongs to the TracckIR forward/backward movement, I can check it for you tomorrow earliest, or maybe someone else on this forum knows the answer... ---EDIT--- If you post a screenshot of the SU-27 axis menu in the options menu I can probably tell you what to change to get it to work.
  13. I think you're underestimating how fast it turns. The surface 'hitting'the air is rather flat and I assume its not that aerodynamic. Try waving a ruler, even with the speed you can make with your hands it will already make some windy noise.
  14. I think it's a matter of what you feel is best. Personally I use 0 deadzone and 25 curvature on all axis (roll, pitch, rudder). Works best for me with both helos and planes. Joystick: HOTAS Warthog.
  15. Did you go through the tutorial missions? And what WinterH says, did you assign the 'release weapons' command to a button, and do you keep it pressed??
  16. I don't see the problem... Should hold up pretty good. Source: trust me, I'm an engineer ;)
  17. Why is it always such a bitchfight about what way is the best way to play? Some like their sims as true as possible, some like their sims a bit less complicated, and some like it FC3 level. Why make such a problem out of this? Everybody's got their own preferences, no need to smear the forums with these endless discussions. Baseline now is that Leatherneck does not have the resources to make multiple 'sim levels', so the MiG is as it is, take it or leave it. Ofcourse input is welcome, but I'm personally getting really tired of seeing these endless discussions over and over again... To remain a bit on topic: I personally like the MiG the way it is, with all the (unlogical) complex thingies :) But ofcourse, if LNS has the resources and time, why not make some simplifications for those who desire it.
  18. How long do you wait for DCS to load? The first time I'm flying after system boot it takes sometimes about 2 minutes to load up, and indeed seems to hang at 12%. I'd suggest to just let it load for like 5 minutes, if the problem persists it might be something else.
  19. Second that. What I also find a bit weird is that the guy doesn't even mention DCS A-10C, or any other 'real' sim (even if it were FSX). Basically, the reviewer didn't (try to) use the Warthog to its full potential, IMHO a shame if your task is to review such a product.
  20. You can assign wheel brakes to an axis, I assigned mine to the toe brakes of my ch pedals...
  21. Sounds like a good idea. What I was thinking myself is making the switches like toggles. So pressing a key once lifts the cover, and pressing the key again closes the cover.
  22. Haha could have known something similar has actually happend IRL! I was able to keep on flying though, the Mig-21 feels like she's built like a tank :D Anyway, mission should be finished no matter the cost, eh
  23. ... use a melee attack :D:joystick: Pretty effective I must say :D:music_whistling: Before impact: Enemy going down! Only a little bit damaged ;) I guess this isn't the proper way to use an aircraft? :P
  24. Haha okay that was unexpected :D Makes sense actually :music_whistling: This thread can be closed, thx :)
