  1. Well, the thing is, performance in DCS is usually good. Like I said, I play often on our squad server, using a very complex multiplayer mission with lots of units and scripts, and I get between 50 to 80 fps now that I tuned everything right (with all the options maxed out). Only in these two missions, which have in common that they include these additional models, is performance so bad. I think I'll try and add some of these models to my squad training mission, just to see if performance plummets or not.
  2. I think my system is not limited by memory ; I've got a 8700K clocked at 5.0Ghz, 32Gb RAM, and a 1080Ti with 11Gb of VRAM. You may be right about AI and pathfinding and all, but I get reasonable (40-60) fps in my squadron's open training mission, which is really heavy (but only uses vanilla assets). Anyhow, the fact that you use these mods without any slowdown in your missions tend to prove they're not at fault here.
  3. Known problem when using stereo_mode_use_shared_parser = true https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4034050&postcount=183
  4. I'm having awful performance in the "Nevada - Ambulance Huey Duty" and "DCS - SimCopter (v1.00)" missions. I'm talking 15-20 fps while in the same locations with the same helicopter, outside of the missions, I've got 50-70 fps with my settings and hardware. I suspect the non-standard units, heliports and buildings that these mission use, namely : GrinnelliDesigns Air Show Assets VPC Object by voc & virpil.com Helipads Civil_Objects NATO Ground Forces and units Any chance that someone encountered the same problem and has found a solution ? These mission are wonderful and I'd like to play them !
  5. Ditto, noticed this too in the Huey and Mi8
  6. This is excellent, thank you for your work ! If I may add a comment, why don't you use the "release" mechanism in GitHub to host your compiled executable ? This is easy, integrated, and usually accepted as the way of releasing a program on Github.
  7. +1
  8. +1 for instant zoom (and a higher zoom level, too)
  9. Thanks Flappie, you're amazing ; I admire your resilience, your ingeniosity and your technical talent ! Now, someone will have to finish my Kneepad.app ! (BadCrC, this should make you laugh ^^)
  10. Well done Flappie !
  11. And it's been fixed in the latest OB. Although other things have been broken, as always ^^
  12. I had this problem with the latest Oculus update (1.38 ) and I solved it by following this ( ) thread, specifically replacing the 1.38 OVRLauncher.exe with older 1.37 version
  13. I've got weird results with my fps recording on the RiftS. I disabled ASW and set all graphics options to a reasonable minimum, and my computer pushed up to 80 fps, as planned. I did reset my settings to something more nice (the settings I had before). And I noticed that, while my fps is now lower (as anticipated, it lurks in the 50s), even with ASW off (confirmed in Oculus Debug Tool) it never goes below 40 fps - not even 39.9 ! This is measured with the Oculus Debug Tool performance hud. Any idea why ?
  14. Well it works here, latest OB (as of yesterday). We've got an intensively dynamic training mission, and everything still works as advertised.
  15. Well I'm on 1903 too, my memory bugged ^^
  16. I've been having problems with Oculus software (Rift S here) since I upgraded Windows to release 1809. First, the software would not start anymore, I had to reinstall it ; worked for a few days. Then, it stopped working again, and now I cannot reinstall it (cleaned up, rebooted, started installer and it get stuck at the very end - few pixels remaining in the progress bar - as stated by the OP). I'll try a more thorough cleanup tonight.
  17. You're welcome !
  18. There is no ratio, the DCS internal coordinate system is in meters. - x is the north/south axis - z is the east/west axis - y is the nadir/zenith axis (altitude)
  19. Could you elaborate a bit please ?
  20. Nice, I'm going to try that right now. Thanks ! ED, follow this nice gentleman's lead, and patch this bug, please.
  21. Hi Lefuneste, Thanks for your answer, although I do not use Target (hate the thing, and if I switched to using it now I'd have to redo all my assignments in DCS). Is there a way of specifying a DX button of a specific DX joystick in your mod's configuration files ? For instance, in the config files it states that you can use constants like "XB_LEFT_TRIGGER" ; is there something like "DX18" ? I canl try using RSMapper if I have no other option. Also, I couldn't make the copy/paste messages function work. I pressed lshift-F3, did I miss something ?
  22. Nice mod, although I'm struggling to assign the zoom feature to my Warthog stick buttons. Just a quick note : it does not work on the latest 2.5.5 openbeta (zoom is weird and does not zoom objects nor scenery, but only water and sky)
  23. I'm interested in finding this out, too
  24. Do you check your weight (in the Checklist page) against maximum carrier landing weight ? This could be the discriminant difference.
  25. * bump * Seriously, no one had to cope with this problem before ? No one is interested ?
