  1. Interesting read, you have some experience in flight. Your avoidance of missiles needs work from the sounds of it. They are avoidable but it takes lots of practice. You say you turn away. You do this to get your eyes on it? right? and jink like mad turning into it as it closes? with the intention of forcing it to work through its motor and get to the point where it has no energy for the hard turns you put it through?
  2. Hardware and Software are two differing aminals. It would be hard to "Write" errors in a program using software to run the program. (ie. Mission Editor.) The error he refers to is "Hard Code" writing not the same thing. Its hard to find a guy who knows both hardware and software. financially two different worlds. Stop to learn one you get behind in the other. The biggest difference is finding the guy who would argue the two. Nothing last long in this ganre one month this info. is valid the next it is not, can't with any logic be adamant about anything PC based.
  3. That speaks volumes to the DRM issue. No one uses "Dongles" anymore the vulnerability proven about 4yrs. ago all Fortune 100s dropped the use of them. along with not being cost effective based on modern methods.
  4. After you repaired, the Mods were removed. Did you reload them or Fly without the mods after repair?
  5. That is so true!!! Look at how many people upgraded their PC just for this title. Hard to argue with numbers like that.

  7. Wow.............An adventure it was too!!! You may want to get an SSD. One reason is speed, the other is a form of backup. I held on to my HDD after adding the SSD just in case I have the same type of adventure you did. I laughed when I read your, "Car owning friend" statement. It is a pain to own a car in the big city. Chi-town is cold about now.
  8. Yes, Been there done that, they hate when that happens. must scare the hell out of them or something.
  9. I use wingmen when I just want a "Quickey." If I have time I put them on SEAD call JTAC and steal all of the glory for myself. Put myself in for a few "Leather Medals." afterwards.
  10. LOL.......Wowwwww!!! That takes me back aways or two..

    weather.dll

And the others in the server at the time? Or do you know?
  12. AtaliaA1

    weather.dll

Wasn't Weather.dll related to having Dynamic Weather clicked in the settings GUI?
  13. That sounds like the best idea. anyone running Vista 32Bit on a 3Gigs of memory machine is not the upgrade type. So 1.2.4 is your best bet and leave DCS World for your next PC upgrade. Keeping in mind the minimums for DCS World.
  14. The fuse can be adjusted in DSMS also. Button 7 or 8 I think.
  15. Can someone add a direct link to "This" show. I clicked on the date and nothing happened. Unless it is their server that is problematic.
  16. You are correct "De-conflicting". In real life as a ground pounder you would hope the pilot would understand the necessity to use JTACs recommended flight path as it removes the potential for killing your own troops.
  17. Disabling Aero Interface give more graphics power to the system. I do not recall why now as this information was given along time ago. See how it does for you.
  18. Is this even needed? I don't recall re-activating when I formatted and re-installed the OS. No hardware changes were done. Which is why activation and re-activation is required......Right? If protect exe sees the same system it will not know if the OS was re-installed or not. It will just look for the keys features that tell it this is the owner on the owners PC. from the original log and activation?
  19. LockOn2s Video Engine is as old as that GPU you are using. Not comparable to recently released software. By that I mean updated Video Enhancements made to take advantage of the latest GPU Technology.
  20. Updater the Video Cards Drivers. They are at 13.10 now. So you are way behind. If the card can pull it off that is. Don't forget you need shaders and Anti Aliasing and other Technological abilities for Sim. with newer Video enhancements added in an earlier ver. of the Software (1.2.4 I think it was)
  21. This sounds like "Windows Mode" where the Sim. is set to play in a window and not full screen. In this mode the OS leaves the mouse in Windows control. So moving out of the window brings up the desktop.
  22. There are 2 modes of using the Simulator. "Gaming Mode" and Simulation Mode" Make sure you choose the setting that the Devices are set on.
  23. Nice Grinch. You should look into ATC now if you are out of Military anyway. And a few posts up someone says attack heading isn't important. Not So. If you are bombing over the heads of your ground unit on a TIC I would think they would think it was important, considering the blast could hit them in a "Danger Close" situation. But as you said Grinch more info. is needed.
  24. Update DirectX and your C++ Libraries. Search Microsoft's website for those apps.
  25. How is that true if the software wasn't optimized for SLi? Are you contending the extra GPU Ram is the cause of the increase? How So?
