Some say putting DCS in its own place on your drive is best (I still don't understand why) ie. C: Flight Sim or what ever name tickles your fancy. I have had no issues with allowing the default setup. And yes your ver. of Lock On will work. They are separate company license is the reason for the extra work.

Slow for me also. I have been trying for a few days now. I see it as a good thing though, the more the merrier. Lots of people for multi-player, lots for general conversation of our favorite simulator. So be patient and also be aware DCS is receiving more revenue for its improvements and graphics enhancements. Great time to be a DCS groupy!!!!

Search forum for issues with the Mission Editor. I don't recall what it was specifically. But do remember there being issues with it.

Try setting you page file to windows controlled and see how that works for you. I think you are running out of Mem. windows has things working under the hood (things you can not manipulate) that maintains the Operating System when actual mem. is low. It follows an instruction set that is not present under your current page file setting.

It is a "Big" part of the Fighter Pilots inventory for sure. So yes definitely should be a part of any Sim. with the goal of "Realism".

Your Mother boards overclock settings have a negative impact on this sim. adding another Video Card will not help, this program is not optimized for SLi or Crossfire.

What HOTAS are you using?

MSVCR100.dll crash is related to the C++ Redistribute updates. insure after you reinstall your OS that those critical (critical for gaming) updates are also installed. And after you reconfigure your flight stick you may want to copy the file to a location on another HDD for future repairs to your OS or PC. Although I believe you already have considered this, another user with your issue may not after reading this post. There was a Window Update during that time. Have you tried a restore? or going back a ver. if during that time you updated your DCS ver.

For awhile ads were attempted. Like a "Shooter" with a pepsi on the desks or something similar in the late 90's. Someone tried it I do remember that but not the details of it.

Didn't this error (0x000007b error have to do with d3d.DLL file? I looked at some of my older posts but couldn't find the one I am thinking of yet. Will look again but maybe someone else will recall this?

Turn off Dynamic Weather in the system settings of the Sim.

Set Virtual Mem. to "Let Windows Control" and you should be fine.

Your Ram,GPU and your CPU are under specs. for this Simulator. I know it is an i5 but the 2.53 is suspect for sure. Is that even right come to think of it? GT540m is missing tessalation and other tech. specs. along with a suggested but not recommended 2Gigs of video Ram for this one. System Ram is 6Gigs now.

This would create a better feel for sure. I think being a small company in its infancy ED. worked with what was cost affective and now we are starting to see more realism, detail, in the worlds greatest simulator. Soon it will surpass our expectations as technology advances and demand initiates supply.
