  1. hopefully it is as simple as ENO stated. the last video access denial I saw was on a customers PC that had bad gpu ram in it. Hopefully just dust or fan error in your case.
  2. Ahhhh Ye of little faith. The new mode of drawing graphics to the GPU should remove a lot of the work load as the newer method and Technology involved with the design of Edge is after all modern technology already in use. How this new tech. and this old software will co-exist is only a guess as to it's functionality, but I as others do have high hopes for it being a total success of old software running on new tech.
  3. Sounds like calibration thing to me. can you use the software in conjunction with A10c to see what may be stuck in position?

    Fps

The HDD could be changed to an SSD. That's about all I see. But you didn't say what ver. of DCS you are using? Have you overclocked that CPU?
  5. With that system I would believe it is your Page File. You mentioned changing it around. Did you put it at default (Windows Controlled) to see if the error was repeatable then? Were are you I want to fly the A10c on that machine of yours!!!!!!!!:)
  6. I've heard that before. You would think if I can run the software on an AMD 6950 2Gig card latest drivers that it isn't the driver but the Technology the card uses. Like its ability to handle tessellation or its instruction set isn't as optimized in the card itself not the drivers? Just a thought.
  7. Re-Install is OK. Did you delete the saved game folder in DCS? Bignewy system specs. did change a bit, but would the system just be slow? sense he was able to play a yr. ago?
  8. Please Re-read my statement. I said no such thing. and I was talking about Hyperthreading and setting the cache file (swapfile) to anything thing but windows controlled as most who overclock do this to tweak more speed. But find it causes more issues than it is worth. Search the A10 thread you'll see. Those were the BIOS tweaks I was talking about not your assumed response, everything after your assumption was mute. Be kinder in your posts. I bet you dollars to donuts should he turn off the OC. settings he will get more enjoyment out of DCS. Heck turn them back on for other stuff if you want. It's just a click away. and a huge load off of your mind in DCS. I have an i7 920 (yes I enjoyed overclocking it in the beginning) and yes it was stable. but the speed wasn't really worth the ware on the CPU and motherboard. along with the other tweaks that didn't bode well with some software. 7 more FPs (average) just didn't seem worth all the headaches involved. Not to mention the money spent on cooling for 7FPs...........really?!!???
  9. I like getting Lucky. Besides I was bored. Had I started to experience issues I would have of course set it back to rights and downloaded by way of the programs update software. But I had to know as this method did save time on downloading and bandwith. Some do have issues with same. And I didn't do anything with missions. I guess you mentioned that for other users though.
  10. I believe like others who have overclocked systems that your BIOS settings is the issue. Turn off all overclock settings and try to run the same Flight Mission. Or you can (can't think of the name of it) the setting that turns off the CPUs ability to cycle up and down as the software gets harder for it to handle? just turn that one off as it was the culprit in most systems.
  11. Then 1.2.6 and 1.2.7 use the same C:\user.........saved games folder? Couldn't you just drag and drop the setting lua into the new install? I dragged and dropped my P51 folder into 1.2.7 and had no issues. Training missions and all started up fine.
  12. I copied (drag and dropped) my Mustang and FC3 into the Beta it worked like a charm, even adding the training missions with out having to direct the software to it. I don't see why this wouldn't work with the other config. files .
  13. DCSW has opened the door to a bevy of new members to this site with the help of steam marketing team. Like them or not Steam has added a lot to our Beloved Simulator. The Graphics update and the addition of 3rd partners to develop more aircraft is doing well. You picked a good time to return to the Sim. community. DCSW Beta is looking great, Groove ran a server stress test today as a matter of fact. and it was very successful in participation and results for the DCS Team. as they work out the kinks in the multi-player side of the software. 1.2.7 is coming along better than any other release thus far. business model is setting up a stable and profitable future for DCS.
  14. Nice Job Guys. I had doubts about the effectiveness of this one. Due to all the members dedication you guys pulled it off. Kudos to Skate, Maverick, Groove, Paulerkiii, Derbysieger and the rest of you. I am ecstatic over the direction the team is taking the implementation of DCSW, the partnerships graphic updates(present and future). This is the only software I own that I am absolutely proud to have been a small part of and to own. Again Good Job Guys.
  15. I do not see these aircraft in FC3? Are they just AI ver. or are they flyable ver.? I assume the Su-33 is the Su-27 in a carrier ver.? Flyable by way of choosing a carrier based mission?
  16. Has that happened? I wouldn't think the type of individual who would act or do ignorant things like that would be the type to even show any interest in a Simulator of such technological requirements. The Sim. Community isn't the place for the ADHD type.
  17. That stick looks really good. I bet the price will be half of the Thrustmaster HOTAS. around $275 or so, I am betting. Maybe even higher based on availability of sticks like that they can make it 2\3 and still make a good profit.
  18. Would have been nice to have more of an earlier notice so more could plan to attend. It is the weekend here in the states. Planning this for a Monday or Thursday evening would get a better turnout. and longer to plan your attendance.
  19. Unfortunately everything is for sale. The kind of money EA. Microsoft and others in this industry can throw around would retire the main stake holders in this title. With a hefty payout to the others involved. This money could be used to create another "Baby" to keep the creativeness of the team going as they enjoy a less stress filled life. I wouldn't hold it against them, they have families and children along with the future to consider. Creative entities have sold out sense the dawn of time. DCS has in that vain created a long term goal that would be poor business practice to sell out at this time. The future of DCS World with partnerships and add on aircraft allow an unpredictable but forward thinking business model that should take care of the creators and stake holders for yrs. to come. So ultimately from a "Sound Business" practice standpoint selling at this time and in the near future is not practical.
  20. In some cases long load times were traced to Ant-Virus software running in the back ground. And having adjusted the windows cache file system in an effort to speed up gaming PCs.
  21. You could create the link to your website by putting the www in front of 81.
  22. I was wondering the same thing. So I downloaded the PDF for A10c and read it several times, thinking this is difficult. But found the more I read the more I understood and wanted to give this a go. In part it was ego for me, if others can do this so can I.
  23. What are your system specs. what monitor and resolution are you using? are you overclocking have you mucked with the cache file for windows? (swap file) made any BIOS changes to get more speed out of your machine?
  24. Why do you recommend installing the program to C:\GAMES? I've seen that before and wondered what it does for the sim.

    CTD

Make sure your games resolution is the same as the desktops resolution. and that all your drivers are up to date.
