Hi Colo, I can't reach your website : http://lumatek.sk. I'm using IE. But surprisingly, I can download DCSpanelsPro using this link : http://lumatek.sk/DCSpanelsPro102.zip By the way, your app for the CDU to be displayed on an Android tablet is really appealing and I'd really like to try it. I was offered an Android tablet few days ago (Android v.4.2.2) but I'm not sure about what it is able to do. It appears rather poor to me compared to other models mentioned in this thead that I've been reading from the begining. My tablet is a Polaroid (9" Tablet Executive) with a 1.2GHz dualcore procesor and a memory of 16GB (NANDFLASH). By the way, I have 3 screens. A main one and two 8" Lilliput screens behind TM MFDs, so I don't need to display them on a tablet. So my question is : do you think I could display CDU on my tablet using your app, and if yes, how could I achieve this ? Thank you for your nice work on this Laurius

Hi Snacks, I don't know if I can be of any help, but I'am trying anyway. Are you saying that you're on a STEAM and stand alone version of DCS (A-10C, I suppose, as seen from your sreenshot) ? Many questions arrise : - How long is it since you or your friend are experiencing problems ? - What is the DCS version of your friend ? Steam and stand alone ? Or do both of you have DCS World ? (It seems you have it !) - Does its TARS recognizes DCS World (In game, it should say : DCS World (icon) 1.2.10.30996 (DCS installed), just as you show in your screenshot) ? I have it that way also and I also have the 'Teamspeak 3 unknown version (x32) installed', right under 'Location of Teamspeak 3' and the path 'C:\....' . Exactly like on your screenshot of the TARS control panel and it has always been like that. - Has it been working for both of you for 2 years as you say or is it not working just for him ? Regarding Teamspeak, my version is 3.0.16 and it's the latest one, although, I haven't been using it for a long time since the virtual squadron I used to fly with is now dead. I come to think that this might probably be the reason why you can't connect with your friend, but i'm really not sure. In conclusion, I would advise you to check up that both of you are running the same version of DCS World, TARS and Teamspeak. Finally, both of you check the box 'Install Teamspeak pluggins' and verify your 'Host' and 'Port' values by clicking 'network'. (By default mines are : 0.0.0.0 and 48101). I know that all I say might sounds like giving a sword hit in the water or killing a fish in a barrel, but, who knows... Laurius

Hi Harke, I downloaded you mod today from DCS website and it seems to work perfectly. I experience somehow a small impact on my fps and probably won't be able to go "extreme". This seems to depend a lot on how "crowded" the mission is. Time for me to upgrade my graphic card ? I come to think that's a "yes" ! Thank you for this mod  Laurius

Ange, You're a dream maker !! Absolutly nice video as always. All your videos are " a must see" ! Thank you ! -
Hi Exocet, I just wanted to congratulate you for your video which I find really awesome ! The music going along with it is just perfect IMHO. It makes me think to another great video : Raytheon 2012 award ! By the way, I was also quite impressed by your head movements and was curious, if you don't mind, to ask you if it would be possible to share your TIR profile. Encore merci et bravo !! Laurius

How to set up toggle switches (a tutorial)
Laurius replied to Spy Guy's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi Dudester & TigersharkBAS, Many thanks to both of you for your inputs and explainations, really !! Now, I think I understand ! Compared to you, the first difference I see is that for 2-positions switches, I only use single-throw-double-pole (STDP) ON-OFF switches. Ground being connected to the OFF position. I should perhaps replace them by ON-ON switches and follow your way for wiring them. I must say I was really not aware of that trick :D That being said, and as you mentioned it TigersharkBAS, I still don't see how to manage this solution for 3-positions switches. Understanding how the diff.lua file works in order to properly modify it would be surely a much better solution, like before 128 version. But in my case, that does not seem to be for tomorrow if I may say. Anyway, I feel fine with this solution at the moment since I use these panels only for the A-10C. I keep preciously the original and the modified default.lua somewhere on my computer and I don't mind re-copying/re-pasting the modified one when an update of the sim comes out. Just hoping it'll be a bit simpler in the future. Once again thanks to you both  Cheers Laurius -
Military and Aviation News Thread (NO DISCUSSION)

RIP to that Eurofighter pilot ! I'm here to report another crash but, fortunatly, without victims this time. Loosing a ton of money is one thing that can't be ignored but fighter pilots lives is another thing. Thank God in this case, pilots could be recovered safe and alive. http://www.timeslive.co.za/africa/2014/06/10/french-mirage-fighter-jet-crashes-in-niger -
I completly agree with BaD CrC. I have been having them for nearly 3 years and evething is fine with them. Before, I had the "only" Saitek Rudder Pedals and the thightening wheel broke up after less than 3 months. It had the tendency to losen so I was constently thightening them up, up to the point that they broke. I had none of this with the combat version. They are thightened up and stay this way. I don't know how much they are now, but they really worth the money IMHO

How to set up toggle switches (a tutorial)
Laurius replied to Spy Guy's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi Dudester, I don't know how you made it, but if it's working the way you're saying, I'm really glad for you. In my case it never worked as simple as you're saying. To sum things up, I started building some panels in early 2012 and was inspired by Tigersharkbras thread at that moment. But config.lua file has already changed. Nevertheless, I could have my switches working fine with what I indicated in previous posts, I mean by modifying the "config.lua" file found in saveds games. Since 128 version, this was no longer working, and as I said, I followed Cichlidfan's advice to modify the "default.lua" file since this file had the same structure and syntaxe than the former "config.lua" file I modified to get my GP WIZ working. Without modifying the "default.Lua" file, I could not ever get a 2-way switche nor a 3-way switch to work properly just by only setting up these switches in the option panel. I tried since the 128 version of the sim came out but no way. I will add that my switches are probably wired up in the same way as for the Leo card. I probably miss something with the LeoBodnar interface you're mentioning but since I have a GP WIZ interface, I come to think that the software that comes along with this Leo card might allow so, knowing again that I might be completly wrong. I'm completly speculative on this point since I don't have a Leobodnar card interface. But from what I have seen so far, you have to tweak a .lua file. And the new config.diff.lua file was way too far from my understanding. So, I went to the straight and easiest way to do so in my case, i. e. just copy and past, from my old input.lua file, the relevent parts for the panels I have, into this default.lua. Before doing so, I of course mapped my every switches position into the "option panel" of the sim, but without success if not modifying this default.lua file Once again, because I was left with DCS, which doesn't recognize temporarly switches (except for the TM Hotas Warthog so far, which I never had problem with) Has anything changed in that regard ? I don't know. What I know is that it didn't work so easily. So If you have a trick to make things simpler, share it with us please. Best regards Laurius -
How to set up toggle switches (a tutorial)
Laurius replied to Spy Guy's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
@Zodiac, As Einherjer said, try to look in X:\DCS World\mods\aircraft\A-10C\inputs\A-10C\joystick. X being the storage device where your DCS World program is saved, not the "saved game" directory found in Y:\user\your user name\saved game\config\input... which you're apparently still looking at... Y being the storage device for Windows, System and so on. There, (in X:\DCS world....) you'll find the default.lua file. That's the file you need to modify, and you'll quickly see that its structure is the same as for the GP-WIZ you used to know, which is still stored in the Y:\user\you user name\DCS\config\input... but with a new extension .diff.lua since 128 version, and you absolutly want to modify, which is not the way to follow. Once you've found this "default.lua" file, I think you'll make it. If you've repaired DCS World, keep on searching for the "default.lua" but don't do anything before saving what you intend to modify. That's a basic but important rule here Laurius PS : In my case, Windows and everything system related in C:\ (SSD drive) and my DCS world is in D:\ (traditional HDD) -
I hope you're not talking about the American continent (northern or southern or even the middle one) ! Right ? As for the less drinking countries, I wouldn't say they are among the less developped ones, for most of them. Probably the most islamic ones but not both

How to set up toggle switches (a tutorial)
Laurius replied to Spy Guy's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi Warhog, you're doing it partially right but the problem is that with 2 or 3 position switches are not made momentary in the sim. That's why, before 128 version, we had to slitghtly modify the config/input .lua file corresponding to the card (in my case GP-WIZ) your panel is connected to. Since the 128 came out, the structure of this input file's completlty changed. For a specific switch (2 or 3 positions) you have to add the opposite command to make this switch temporarily. Here's an example for a 2 positions switch, such as the EMER FLOOD on the Electical Power Panel : {down = iCommandEmergencyFlood, name = "Emergency flood", category = "Electrical power control panel"}, {combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN2"}}, down = iCommandEmergencyFlood, up = iCommandEmergencyFlood, name = "Emergency flood", category = "Electrical power control panel"}, You have to add the command in bold characters to make this switch temporarily after having assigned this desired swith to its function in the sim "controls" panel. Now, by doing so in the Default.lua, instead of in the config\input\... found in c:\user\your username\saved game\config\input\....you can't go wrong. Here's another example for a 3-positions switch, such as the Master Arm switch, found on the AHCP : {down = iCommandPlaneAHCPMasterArm, name = "Master switch ARM", category = "Armament HUD Control Panel"}, {combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN21"}}, down = iCommandPlaneAHCPMasterArm, up = iCommandPlaneAHCPMasterSafe, name = "Master switch ARM", category = "Armament HUD Control Panel"}, {down = iCommandPlaneAHCPMasterSafe, name = "Master switch SAFE", category = "Armament HUD Control Panel"}, {down = iCommandPlaneAHCPMasterTrain, name = "Master switch TRAIN", category = "Armament HUD Control Panel"}, {combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN22"}}, down = iCommandPlaneAHCPMasterTrain, up = iCommandPlaneAHCPMasterSafe, name = "Master switch TRAIN", category = "Armament HUD Control Panel"}, Always add modifiers to the considered switch when its initial position is the "OFF" or "SAFE" state. With hopes that this helps you ! Cheers Laurius -
Hi Folks, Here' what I've stumbled upon today. Though I used "search" option, I couldn't find those. Hope you like them ! Since I still suck at AAR with the A-10, this one amazes me (No music) ! Good job to the boom operator: 0jLaha2UfLA Special dedication to laddies pilot ! F-16 Agressor Squadron : cr0MpcAElfg V_nir2rD-2o

@ Zodiac I was in the same boat as you one week ago and I followed Cichlidfan's advice. Don't bother with "input.lua" as the new structure is completly different as mentioned before and still obscure (to me, at least). Hoping this will help you for the panels you have : http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2066020&postcount=105 By the way, you might have to do a repair of DCS World before doing anything else, in order to recover the orginal files in C:\user\your username\config\input\aircraft... Cheers Laurius -
Oh yeah !! Saw this video today and was quite impressed by the reactivity and behavior of this cat ! It seemed that this wandering dog smelled the fresh flesh, if I can say it that way, and ran on to that little kid. The attack was quite violent IMHO. Fortunatly the cat was here and I was amazed to see that latter rush on this aggressive dog, making it run away and chasing it. The kid's mother seemed to be nearby watering the garden and reacted to what happened but a fraction of a second later. Did the cat really wanted to protect this little buddy ?? What would have happened if there was no kid ? Did the cat wanted to only defend its own territory ? Anyway, this video is amazing. Although the bit left quite impressive injuries, I really feel glad it was not worse. What if the cat were not here ??? Better not to think about it... I love cats and I own a little female, named Hoggy, that is a bit over 1 year old now, and which behaves like a dog. I can play "fetch !" with her everyday !
