  1. Hi, I've just watched this movie and enjoyed it a lot. So, I just wanted to bring your attention to it and share it with you, hoping you will like it too. Cheers Laurius
  2. Some thoughts of mine : He probably waited to be high enough over a mountaineous area, where he thought that recovery of evidences would be the most difficult, meaning he really had a twisted mind May be in order to delay the time for this plane to be detected as a "problematic" flight. As you may have seen, even at 800 km/h, only "confetis" are left For me that's the main question. Until now, he's not recognized as a terrorist. Why would he have crashed on a densely populated area ? Probably because he didn't have the skill to, or killing 149 innocent people was enough for him
  3. The truth is unveilling to be a horrible one, for sure. As Wingnut pointed it out, it happened in the past : http://www.vox.com/2015/3/26/8294971/pilot-suicide-crash The world is becoming more and more crazy and this tragedy is putting pressure on all airways companies to derive something new from preventing this kind of event in the future. As we sometime say : To any misfortune there is something good. It's now time to find something in order that no such things occur anymore. Some companies are now trying to keep at least two crew members in the cockpit, if the pilot or co-pilot has to go for some rest or simply to the restroom. In the present case, it's still weird to me why this co-pilot commited suicide taking 149 innocent lives with him. That's completly crazy and insane from him. So so sad, indeed
  4. Hi, from the latest news, the pilot wasn't in the cockpit when the plane crashed. Even worse, he was prevented from coming back in as the door was locked from the inside. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/france/11491587/Airbus-A320-crashes-in-French-Alps-with-148-people-on-board-live.html My thoughts to the victims and everyone affected by this tragedy
  5. Good one Leafer !! Let me share this one which I found was good until some point...
  6. Hi EasyEB, I try to give my two cents, but Damien pretty said it all. I have also a TM Warthog HOTAS and never had this problem, since everything is already genuinely mapped for this device. What you could do is save what you have in C:\windows\user\you user name\saved games\DCS under a different name, then restart DCS world and see what's going on. A new DCS folder should be created in the 'saved games' one. In principle, your settings are saved in the path said above (with a diff.lua format). IMHO, you should not have to map this function (Flaps) in the option panel. Take care also to select the 'sim' character of the plane you want to fly with and not the 'easy' one. One more thing, be advised that the flaps won't extend if your IAS is above 200 kts (at least for the A-10C). Hoping that this will help you. Cheers Laurius
  7. Hey folks ! I just wanted to thank Emg and NRG-Vampire for their posts, they're just amazing ! Thanks for sharing
  8. Hi Bucic, There you go ! ;)
  9. Hi and welcome Have you tried to connect both Lilliput and their power cables directly to your PC's USB ports ? That's how mines are connected. Laurius
  10. Alfredson007, I join you my TrackIR profil. It has speed = 50 and smoothness = 0.3 (Golani must have exchanged values...). You didn't tell us what kind of aircraft you were flying with, but my profil should fit with any of them (in my case : A-10C, F-15 & Su-27). Hope you like it and don't hesitate to modify it to your likings Cheers Laurius PS : My profil is in lua format. Please use Notepad++ to edit it and save it under .xml format in the Natural Point folder. Hoping that helps you Laurius_A-10C.lua
  11. Hi, Got snipped by Golani ! I wanted to share the same link ! :D
  12. I come to like your sense of humor. Now I think everyone is waiting for a prequel !
  13. Thanks for the illustration Tomcatter. Things are getting clearer. The General I was refering to, said the plane was taking-off toward the sea, so on rwy 09. It's the opposite in fact. Loss of power and then loss of controls. This makes sense. Why the hell has this plane got a loss of power ?? Bird(s) sucked in the engine air intake ?? Ok, I don't want to speculate more than that and will stop commenting on that tragedy from now on. Waiting for the investigation results, hoping that something can be learned from what happened.
  14. Apparently, one F-16, a two-seater is involved. So mid-air collision appears to be unlikely. A retired French Air Force General said on TV news that controls faillure could be involved since the F-16 didn't crash in the runway axis after take-off, but did a left turn before crashing on the crowded parking area. The pilot might have struggled until the end to avoid dramatic damages without being able to do so.
  15. Wow ! That's a real and unbelievable tragedy ! I've just heard on TV news that 8 Frenches and 2 Greeks (the 2 F-16 pilots) personnels lost their lives in this horrible accident. My condolences to their families and relatives. I hope the wounded will go through this and recover soon. That's a sad sad day today. Let's wait for the investigation reports RIP
  16. I've been using it for a long long time without the need of TARGET and it's fine to me, so I really don't understand the origin of this issue.
  17. Hey Buddy, I guess it's a joke, isn't it ? I would rather say Youtube "unfitting video" music :music_whistling:

    GOOD KILL

I really feel eager to see this movie !! Thanks Sabre-TLA And sure, a Predator interface in DCS would be very interesting
  19. Weird... I saw at least one answer to this issue in this thread before Atalia's one, answered it but I can't see what i've posted... So here we go again : "Hola Fons, In principle you shouldn't have to use TARGET GUI and the backlight control has nothing to do with your issue. Just go to "axis commands", select "zoom view", then "Add" and move the slider of the TM throttle back and forth. It should be registered. No curve nor dead zone are needed for that. That's what I did and it works fine. And this is valid for all the planes I have. Check also if there isn't a conflict with another input device regarding this function (mouse or TrackIR). Salud Laurius "

  21. Hi Gents ! This is "Warriors", a movie about the war in Bosnia, which follows British soldiers of the UN peacekeeping force in their mission. Very moving... (No subtittles at all)
  22. Wooohoooo !! Hi Karls and everyone ! I could manage to get my 2 and 3 positions switches working again thanks to Karls's mod ! This was far from being obvious but after some "tries and fails", I did it ! Apparently, you have to FIRST configure your switches in order to create the diff.lua file associated with the device interfacing your panels (in my case Elec. Power and AHC panels). Then run the App. contained in Karls's mod after unzipping it. After that, you'll still have to tweak the corresponding diff.lua. What's weird is that after doing so, the corresponding functions associated to the said panels are no longer seen in the controls/options menu !! There are some differences compared to Karls advices, especially, no need to assign a number to "cd" or "vd". For those who are still struggling with the issue of using 2-3 positions switches, I want to share the diff.lua file associated to my GP-WIZ controller for the Electrical power and AHC panels, hopping this might help. Many thanks Karls for your mod !! Cheers Laurius GP-Wiz40 {0C52A6E0-5447-11e1-8001-444553540000}.diff.lua
  23. Hi Karls, Thanks a lot for your answer. I still have some questions before using your mod. Should I run the app and "patch all" all buttons before or after configuring the switches in the Control options ? That's what I tried for the Battery Power switch. What would be the up value for this switch ? I tried vu0, vu1, but with no luck. I suppose it's due to the new Data.lua but I'm probably wrong. Anyway, thanks again. Laurius
  24. Hi Karls, I'm struggling to make my 2 and 3 ways switches to work again since v1214 broke everything up. Even, applying the new syntax to the Default.lua file doesn't seem to do the trick anymore. I was used to use a modified version of this file but since 1212, it's no longer possible. I would like to use your mod and I tried it but without success. I only have two panels (Elec. Power & AHCP) for the A-10C interfaced to DCSW through a GP-WIZ. Before, I tried to understand the new structure found for the GP-WiZ.diff.lua stored in C:\users\user name\saved game\input\A-10C real\GP-WIZ... I tried to mess around with it for a 2- way switch with no avail again. That's why I'd like to give a try to your mod. Could you please clarify where to install your mod and how to do so with JSGME and if it shall be unzipped ? Many thanks in advance Laurius EDIT : I forgot to ask where I could find the cockpit device ID ?
