Let's suppose that it is a hardware problem with your TM Stick, and somehow pressing the pickle button causes the activation of Trim Hat as well (because of some sort of hardware malfunction, loose cables or short circut inside the stick or whatever might be the cause.) If you go to your Operating System Control Panel (haven't used Vista, so don't know if it is just like with Windows 7) and open Game Controllers, you should see if the Trim Hat button(s) are activated while pressing pickle button even though you don't touch the Trim Hat at all. Have you tried that kinda test/check yet? EDIT: Are you saying it only happens with CCRP? Then it's a bit more tricky situation...

So you still have the old rig and operating system untouched? I'm away from my sim pc atm, but check this message: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1353443&postcount=3 I hope you can find your serial number this way.
-
AFAIK, no.
-
As BigBlack already said, the Slew as well.

OK, it's your choice. But after all the modifier thing is pretty handy. For example, I noticed that activating the night vision goggles and adjusting the goggle gain with keyboard was just a pain in the **s. With Pinky Paddle as a modifier and assigning certain buttons to control NVG totally saved my day.
-
I would say that if you are not using the Stick Pinky Paddle as a modifier you are wasting valuable resources. Using it as a modifier you can virtually double your buttons. edit: see this thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1120786#post1120786

I suggest that you read thru the DCS A-10C_Quickstart_Guide.pdf. You can find it in the installation directory. It tells you all the essential stuff of target designation using TGP, HUD and Maverick. edit: link to quickstart guide: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/documentation/dcs_a-10c_quickstart_guide_en/

I did not even... :D

Okay, gotta eventually tellya what's on my mind. The latest patch for the standalone was released december 2011, right? Quite a looo-oooong time ago, actually. It has its confirmed bugs. The DCS World A-10C Module has its confirmed bugs as well. So, we are kinda between the bugs ATM. Please don't get me wrong! DCS A-10C is a pretty amazing sim. Actually the best! And this forum is one of the best ever! And I don't wanna sound like a whinin' biatch, BUT, it would have been nice to get a patch for v1.1.1.1.
-
AFAIK, there will be no patch for the standalone any more. Too bad.
-
I think there might be a way: You could try to change horizontal and vertical axis saturation of your slew control.
-
D-version doesn't have force correlate mode I think.

Here you are a simple AAR training mission. It was originally posted here (or to some other forum, cannot be sure) by a friendly forum member. I have edited the wind conditions. I think you contact the tanker with UHF radio 251.00 MHz. FuelMeBaby No Wind edit.miz

TM HOTAS WH - china hat and slew stick getting stuck
FreeFall replied to goon3r's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Speaking of China Hat, have you noticed any wear of surface finishing? At least with my China Hat my sweat(?) has worn the bloom from her cheeks . See attached picture. -

The package is not very large, but it is pretty heavy. -
+1. By the way, I often have some "3 GBU-38s CCRP/1 pass " -fun. Let's say your targets are three (so far static) BTRs which are not close enough to each other so you could take them out with only one GBU-38. If you fly high enough (some 12 000 ft. is nice) and are fast enough you can easily have enough time to pickle 3 GBU-38s one after another. Zoom your TGP so that you can see all the targets. You then designate the first target (AREA mode) and pickle as soon as you see the "MAN REL". Then you just move the TGP cursor quickly over the second target and pickle again...wait!... not over the second target (because the driver will hit the gas pedal and drive away after the first blast), but instead (and this is the fun part) you move the cursor to the point you guestimate the driver of the second BTR will reach before your second bomb hits the ground level (actually hopefully the BTR). Then you do the same with the third BTR. You have to be quick, but not too quick. Quick pickle -> possibly ABORTED GBU-38s.

Q: How to reset your controllers back to DCS defaults? A: You can reset your controllers by removing all other files than the Default-settings. Windows 7: You will find your controller files under: C:\Users\<you>\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\Config\Input Joysticks .\Config\Input\Aircrafts\A-10C\joystick\ Delete the files, they should be names such as: Joystick - HOTAS Warthog {207A3CB0-E368-11df-8001-444553540000}.lua Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals {F20F8B40-8379-11de-8006-444553540000}.lua Throttle - HOTAS Warthog {207A3CB0-E368-11df-8002-444553540000}.lua Q: How do you reset keyboard bindings?: A: Go to "C:\Users\<you>\Saved Games\DCS Warthog\Config\Input\A-10C\keyboard\Keyboard.lua" and delete this Keyboard.lua DCS will generate a new Keyboard.lua with default settings -

Tell me about the packaging. Was it packaged in a non-retail kinda cheap plastic bag like mine was? Even if it seems to be rather fragile. Only the bundle version (TrackIR 5 + TrackClip Pro) comes with a nice Retail package?

A-10C "Calling ATC for promission to start engines".
FreeFall replied to cagrimes's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
You're welcome! :) EDIT: If you wanna toggle, first press [RCtrl] + [Numpad Zero]. Then [Numpad 1]. If you wanna go back to the original view, press [Zero] again. EDIT2: And actually forum member hayesj23 originally gave the answer in his message :megalol: -
With standalone v1.1.1.1, after the GBU-38 explosion exactly between the trucks, the drivers of the trucks hit the gas pedal and drive some 15 meters and only then they die as the trucks eventually explode as well. I think with earlier versions (prior v1.1.1.1) the truck drivers died a bit faster and saved some gas :).

A-10C "Calling ATC for promission to start engines".
FreeFall replied to cagrimes's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I was going to ask if Gagrimes Asus has a numpad or not. Default keyboard mapping should give you the radio panel if you press [Numpad Zero] + [Numpad 1]. -
