SRS and Sim Racing Studio clash Dof reality H3
Andrew u.k. replied to Andrew u.k.'s topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Problem solved, export lua overwritten by srs movement software I just needed to add the srs radio line in at the end. See srs common problems. -
Hi I'm running the latest srs version alongside sim racing studio movement software (SRSM). SRS is connected to the game fine and I have 3 green symbols and all works fine. I've loaded on SRSM for the movement chair, when I save the profile it stops srs from connecting to the game, my overlay turns red. I assume it's something to do with how SRSM exports? Any ideas or help would be much appreciated. Cheers Andrew

T 45 do not works with simshaker for aviator?
Andrew u.k. replied to mosqui's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It doesn't work with mine either, or my H3. I figure it's a Telemetry issue. -
It's good, but probably not that good.

I have now experienced the Huey shuffle! DOF reality H3 is all set up and working. First thought is that it brings the Huey alive. Bringing in the collective requires good anti torque control on approaches. The feedback comes through on the yaw access very well if you get behind the curve. Heavy landings come through with quite a jolt, smooth landings, with no yaw and just a slight contact jolt are now very rewarding. Pick up and taxi is very cool, the wobble in the hover all comes through while you get yourself stabilised. I definitely recommend it, and it doesn't take up as much room as I thought it would.

Cheers, that makes sense.

Cheers Hannibal, Where's the best place to read up on it, I have no idea what angular velocity is. Ive started looking at the SRS software settings, but much seems to be for racing games. Is there a specific dcs thread or forum?

When I'm all set up I hope to do a specific helicopter review. I have no idea how the tilting will translate, especially with pedal turns etc.

That's a no then. I've just ordered the h3 and I'll let you know in 3-4 weeks.

I use the x56 as well, it gets slagged off but I can fly the Huey as good as most in our group. Get an extension, mine broke the other day and had to fly without, all good but an extension is a bit of luxury. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

Next Level Motion + Traction platform & DCS
Andrew u.k. replied to Brainfreeze's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Looks great, so no problem with the balance by adding the pedal support? Motors stay cool? I'm looking at this, but dof reality seems better value. There's not many dcs users out there, even less (none) that can compare the products. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk -

Yes please show us the end result. I've been through the trials and tribulations in 40 posts! I've been flying with x56 throttle so I'm really interested, you say it's like light and day and I need to get a collective . Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk -

Dof reality owners, You're all a quiet bunch. I'm about to oder an H2 or H3, I'm not sure which one yet. I've been searching for information and reviews from dcs pilots in particular, hoping to be able to make a judgement if the the H3 is worth it for DCS. I have read and watched on YouTube that the yaw motion isn't worth it for planes, it's mainly a car thing. I fly the Huey a lot and figured it would work well with her but I've not been able to find an H3 owner specifically saying it's "superb for helicopters" or "save the money" or even mentioning helicopters at all. If anyone has an H3 please let me know what you think. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

Has anyone got the Dof reality H3? I wondered how pedal turns and the yaw motion felt. Is it worth the extra over the H2? I mainly fly the Huey and A10, I figure it's not worth it for the A10, but with the Huey it might be really cool. Cheers Andrew Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

F10 There may be an option created in the mission, it would show up under F10 other. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

yes Are AI abilities affected by night vs day?
Andrew u.k. replied to Stearmandriver's topic in Mission Editor
There definitely is a difference between night and day. I fly with a huey squadron and when we are doing vietnam style ops it's very frustrating. No flying at dusk or Dawn as there's no return fire unless you turn your lights on. However, I've just been testing a Misson set with a full moon in the snow at night. And they did fire back. I'd also say, get it positioned right and it's perfect with Vr. I have pointctrl also (which is superb), but this feels great.

Many thanks Darren, What a bargain! Arrived today. Much appreciated, great bit of kit
