  1. I didn't see anything in the posted video about adjusting the slew, but otherwise, yes, you can use the OSBs to adjust the slew rate. I think you hit CTRL OSB and you should be able to adjust the slew rate in there. Unless it's changed, I think a slew of 1 is fast and a slew of 5 is slow. Whichever it is, just play around with the numbers until you like it.
  2. If your referring to the slew on the mfcd with the TGP or Mav, you can adjust those on the MFCD itself.
  3. tintifaxl is correct in that you need to have purchased/installed CA in order to play the CA version of the campaign. You will need to use the F10 map in order to advance the units yourself (by clicking on your units and giving target to move to) Be aware that some enemy units spawn once your units get close to their deploy position. I would advise being very careful about moving your units forward. Do not use a straigt line. Try advancing through a town on roads. As you get closer, the enemy will spawn but some, if not most, of your armor units will be protected by town buildings. Clean up the newly spawned enemy, then advance your armor to their deploy positions once the enemy are destroyed.
  4. Those are Saitek Combat Pedals, not Microsoft. And they are nice, I have a set myself :)
  5. What are you trying to lase and where is it?
  6. When a wingie starts heading off to nowhere have you tell him to attack, best thing to do is just get him to rejoin and try again. I had one just flying in circles until I told him to rejoin. Then killed the target myself.
  7. On your cdu, it will have 4.0 0.8 (4.0 minutes after cdu starts up and aligning, 0.8 miles error in position; as the time increases, the error gets less)
  8. The only thing I can think of is it's assigned to another key? Have your tried clicking on the wheel brakes and clearing, then trying to assign? I have a few for camera that are greyed out for my HOTAS and RUDDERS but assigned/clickable to mouse
  9. PRTSCN button; default for DCS I believe. images are in the screenshot folder.
  10. That would make a difference. Good luck.
  11. and after reading all that, I am completely certain you are still not up to speed on all the procedures. Use TAKEOFF TRIM to reset your trim after repair. Yes, it IS necessary. Learn how to use the fire extinguisher. You don't need a 'hotkey', just use the correct controls within the cockpit (t-handle, then fire extinguisher) Make sure to use proper startup procdueres, and learn how to diagnose startup problems. FOLLOW THE CHECKLIST and you should be ok.
  12. Do you have all the axes assigned, rudder as well as wheel brakes.
  13. I stayed away from MP until I knew exactly how to 1. start from ramp. 2. taxi. No, really. Not sure how bad it is now, but it would SUCK spending minutes getting started up, start taxiing out of hangar (on servers where that's where the mission designer put you) and hit a wing on a corner, or get a wheel stuck in the dirt on the narrow path. Do you realize just how much grief you feel sitting there looking at a broken wing and and your MASTER CAUTION blaring at you and all you can think is "I hope NO ONE saw that"? 3. Find the correct runway/direction Once airborne, you should be ok as long as you know how to use your systems. But the startup-takeoff routine gets MUCH use when you're just starting out in MP.
  14. M is 'masked' and the laser will not fire when masked. "But I can SEE my target in the TGP?!" you say? Irrelevant. The MASK profile installed in the TGP (in the SIM) takes account of just about any weapons loadout you can use. You need a really clear, obvious view away from your airframe to not get masked. Make gentle turns if you need to (towards the wing with the TGP pod, usually right) and don't make any drastic maneuvers until bomb hits.
  15. I use Saitek Combat pedals, toe brakes work fine. Make sure to reverse the toe brake axis.
  16. Next step, learn to use the CDU and MGRS/LL data entry. Makes finding those moving targets much easier :)
  17. I too use Vipers Cougar profile, with just a small amount of editing for my specific use. Otherwise, very good setup. I use the RANGE knob for in-cockpit zoom (can be setup in the sim once you load the profile using foxy) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=61236
  18. The L on the RWR is indeed laser warning. And it does work. Made a brief mission with 4 groups of 3 t80s: got Ls all over the RWR. Depends on the vehicle and whether or not they have lasers to target with. M on the RWR is for missile launch detection
  19. Unfortunately, in SIM, the radars will only lock up the highest threat. 2 radars in one system, both turned toward highest threat. 1 radar, 2 systems, both turned toward highest threat. 2 equal threats, turned to closest group. Will only engage closest, highest threat until threat is eliminated, then will turn/engage 2nd threat.
  20. Mission editor. Make simple mission with a few targets, out in an open field. Place a waypoint on top of them. Use ALTHOLD and orbit 10-15miles away and use TGP to find the targets. Set up the mission using Mavs until you get them all. Then use LGBs, JDAMS, MK82s until you can at least find, and attack the targets with whatever weapon you have. Try stationary targets at first. Then put a column of trucks or armor on a road and try moving targets. Next, add a shilka or IR sam. Learn to take that out BEFORE getting closer. (use tgp, find column on road, target the SAM/AAA, kill with Mav, then go in with bombs). Even the easier missions can be overwhelming if you still have trouble just finding and attacking targets. Go a step at a time, make things more complex as you learn. As an example, the pilot mission, you have to find the pilot, then find the vehicles approaching his location and take them out before they reach him.
  21. I have not had any issues, and this is just a guess. Saw something about it in a previous post so it may help: start up dcs world. fly a quick start mission using the su-25. exit the mission, exit dcs world. open your start menu item for eagle dynamics/dcs world. click on 'check for update' There may be a daily update that dcs world needs in order to install the remaining modules. I'm just throwing this out there, as again, I have not had any issues. Just remember seeing a post about something similar. Good luck.
  22. Really? I am going to try this out. I've seen the patriots engage a few targets at same time, but they were always from similar direction. Need to make a quick mission with three track radars and targets in opposite directions. :)
  23. Are you talking about real-life or in the SIM? I've only ever used one radar and it works for all directions. The search radar picks up the target, the track radar turns to face the target, then missiles launch.
  24. So...if you don't put any wind in the ME, ie wind = 0, you say LASTE is more accurate? Is that correct?
  25. May I ask where the 'proper area' is? I've looked around but couldn't find such spot.
