  1. тогда хорошо :) а то кнопки прикрученные к передней панели совсем не смотрятся и как ты уже заметил удовольствия мало приносят. раз есть принтер то сможешь выплонить сложные формы рамок за которыми расположится плата с кнопками. удачи!
  2. Testing CMSP screen export with four SLG-2016 displays. Displaying line 1. with 5 outputs remaining on the Nano i'm not yet sure if the same device can drive the second row. I received my first ever order of PCBs: Backplates for full-sized MFCDs, DCS-BIOS RS485 breakout board for Nano board, Amplifier for slew transducer. breakout board will need to be redone - I forgot to expose the 5V pin. Slew Amp is described by Gadroc here: (link) Started assembling the Amplifier and discovered that i do not have a single 1K resistor. Spent few hours sorting through the mixed "Sort later" pile, but no luck. will have to wait till package from ebay gets here to test.
  3. Looks like interesting build and good progress. I love my 3d printer, but just because something can be printed does not mean it's the best way to go about it. If you ask me glareshield is better to be done from plywood. You clearly have means and skill to work with wood. Just my 0.02 worth Good luck!
  4. Perhaps Mlmeasure distances of mounting holes with and transfer to surface with ruler and triangle?
  5. experimented with DCS-BIOS via max485 bus. was breaking my head why would master not talk to slaves but it looks like having good ICs helps. Thank you Ian, Hansolo and everyone who helped make it happen! mounted HCMS-2973 displays onto the "testbed" and prototyped a CMSC sketch- it's a go! time to order the PCB
  6. that is a very nice setup markturner  GearUpper, looking forward reading about your setup as well
  7. Interesting. I received my CM2 about 3 weeks ago (ordered in September). It is now mounted to the seat. Heavy spring installed for the pitch axis . With 200mm extension and TMWH grip I find the default cams VERY wobbly near the very center. Yet to try it sim but I'm guessing some dead zoning will be needed. Was wondering if these revised cams solve that problem
  8. очень извиняюсь но внешне выглядит не очень. надеюсь это временны вариант для дальнейшей доработки? а что если заменить кнопки на 12мм тактильные ? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2035637269.html
  9. S-Video extension cable can be butchered enough to fit the role. I used a knife and a Dremel to carve it enough to be used for my DIY TMWH extension. Perhaps someone will chime in with the name of proper connector
  10. you guys sure gave me a scare. I was frantically thinking what is it that I have done. I certainly have lots of bad intentions on my mind but as I got older I think I'm doing much better not acting on them :music_whistling:
  11. Hello Aggie and welcome. to clarify, RWR , MFCD, and all special screens will be rendered by DCS itself, you will need to configure monitors.lua per instructions. Analog gauges will be rendered by Helios, overlayed on top and actuated per data export. I haven't looked into Helios for quite some time, it sounds like recent versions will help you configure monitors and the required data exports. I would keep helios on the same system as DCS, that way you can overlay everything on the same screen.
  12. The pointy angled MIP did not look right to me at all. Reworked the shape somewhat, and made a curved glare shield. Side consoles are painted. The seat is now built up, not a replica, but resembles an ejection seat close enough for me. With a bit more detail it will be passable. The G seat idea will have to wait - flaps are rigidly mounted for now. Perhaps I will motorize them few more years later ) . Ejection , seat position and other on-seat controls are in progress. Seat cushions are sewn, went with "black fur" style of seat. Virpil Mongoose CM2 is mounted. reflashed to use with TMWH grip. Used their 200mm curved extension, heavy spring on pitch, default on roll. Seems solid but there is a noticeable wobble near the center point and I would have definitely liked at least some damping. But for now it will do. Overall a neat enough looking pit so hopefully the SO's nagging "your room looks like construction" will subside for now.
  13. that is a very nice desktop setup. congrads and good luck. before you know it you will start adding more and more devices :)
  14. FFB is absolutely worth it for rise of flight - it gives a very good feeling just how much farther can you push your plane before stalling. For a modern fly-by-wire plane FFB is not so much critical.
  15. Very good looking CDU. For the screen, you can do DCS BIOS as well. it will save you from exporting the viewport, although that solution is little bit more involved. take a look at this old thread I managed to misplace the memory card i had in that raspberry pi so at some point I will be retracing my own steps to recreate this again
  16. A 3 position "On-on-on" switch in a toggle format is very rare. I never came across one, I only assume such thing exists. Using the common on-off-on however is not a problem. To get that middle position You will map the OFF (button up) events from both sides. Can be done in the input config LUA file .I prefer to map such switches via helios.
  18. I love the warthog and my pit build is centered around it, but now there are more planes that interest me. Viper because Syria, Horned because of carriers! I have room for more panels in the side consoles to populate all the required panels, but the MIP... I guess Viper MIP is similar enough with two MFCDs and the UFC can be somewhat reused, but what do I do for the Hornet that has the AMPCD? I'm stuck and can't decide between the two MIPS! I was thinking to do a hybrid with removable UFC and warthog's HSI placed into the AMPCD frame, but that composition turns out really strange.
  19. Look into grayhill rotaries, something like this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/121535539530 Make sure you get the throw angle you need, can be 30, 36 or other degrees.
  20. thank you streakagle. worst comes to worst i will splurge and buy premixed paint. Side consoles sheeted. inside will get painted with white primer. I'm not sure yet how to proceed with outside. ordinary latex will be easy and fast, enamel is durable but dries times and times longer. I was considering to rattle can it..
  21. I fail to see the problem. supply and demand in action. Seller, whoever it may be, is entitled to ask whatever price he feels like for their wares. if you think this is overpriced don't buy it, simple.
  22. few years later... the projection screen material didn't adhere well, hadto take it down. cleaned the adhecive residue and primed the surface with oil based primer. tried to mix homebrew projection screen paint (beige + aluminum), but the sample didn't look right at all. still researching paint. MIP Foundation is built. fitting side consoles.
  23. I want one. even as kit. I will not need to wait for grip mounting. what are you planning as far as availability?
  24. That is some dedication. Any sentimental ties to that machine ? I'd think with the availability of awesome DCS modules the mi-24 wouldn't be the first choice for many to have as a dedicated home cockpit .
  25. Remarkable project. subscribed as well
