Pretty much what was said above.relays are easy to understand , but It's not 1950 anymore. semiconductors are the way to go so time invested in reading the datasheet will not be a waste at all. Aside of all technical advantages MOSFETs are significantly cheaper too. With that I still use discrete darlington transistors for all high amp switching needs. Maybe not ideal and not as compact but they work and I managed to collect several bags of them in both flavours :)

There are no xsim ffb joysticks to my memory. Not here for sure and I yet to come across such project elsewhere. I attempted that but didn't get far at all - stuck in both hardware and software . My current plan for FFB stick is to use the old MSFFB2 for the interface. There are writeups online as to how convert original pots to hall sensors and to increase output to motors for longer stick. In my case I will be using custom addon amplifier board for driving motors , not yet sure if originals or something else - building my own mechanics, have friend who prommised to do the bulk of the electronics part. IMO going with MSFFB gives the best chance for future compatibility as it has all the force stuff native to it and games that support it will support it out the box. In your case you will definetry require assistance of electronics engineer to convert MSFFB motor driving signals to drive your AC (AFAIK ) motors.

My cockpit project is taking a pause at the moment so I'm not in any kind of hurry. This however will be day 1 purchase. Would preffer version with the labels in whatever language manufacturer finds more attractive. I have no issues applying decals either if supplied.

Diameter of the screen can be whatever you need it to be and whatever your situation allows. I have a 7 footer 180deg. covered by pair of projectors. Can't be much smaller then that (attempted a 6.5' barely worked and to cramped), but definitely can be larger with additional projectors like seen above. Benq 1080st beamers are out for quite a few years now, eBay shows as low as 500 per device. Perhaps there are better devices out there but it seems like short throw marked is on decline. Cons - aside of expensive equipment and blending software, you will need to have good attention to your screen. Setup is more complicated then flat screen, imperfections in screen and in blending WILL be visible. The setup is more or less permanent , I don't see assembling and taking it apart on the whim so dedicated space for it is a must, I couldn't loose my garage/shop to it. But once you all setup the immersion cannot be beat. I think the fact the eyes need to refocus further when you look from MIP to the outside helps the feeling. Fotki.com are running "fotobucket victim" campain. They did drop their free/ad sponsored hosting plan long time ago, but still have a very reasonable pricing I think -24$ per year (I purchased several years in advance). Unlike many others they host full sized images. this looks great! I understand why you might be not to happy with buttons but they are very usable. engraving them one by one sure was hell of an effort. Did you think of making a fixture to hold several at once?

ИМХО то что обозначено на диаграмме как "dual stage trigger" должно оставаться dual stage . Предпочтений для "metal trigger" у меня нет. Идея с самодельной щелкающей релюшкой мне понравилась. Забираю себе в список "надо сделать". Спасибо :)

Flipped through several pages of news and can't seem to find an answer: was wondering if release (or preview, beta , whatever ED calls this) of Normandy theater consolidates it with other theaters into 2.5 . Or will we have it as another standalone? Thanks Add: although I did not go crazy all out on that Kickstarter I did contribute few planes worth. How would I check if I'm entitled to receive the asset pack?

This is a good start. Name escapes me at the moment but there is "open source" sets of plans for something similar , was it Jedi pit? At any rate, what I would suggest is to keep some option for main instrument panel, perhaps you will want to add one later.

OP , did it ever occur to you that a 3rd party Dev might not possess the capacity to produce a complex aircraft? even if the technical skill and knowledge is suddenly there out of the blue the finances are quite not trivial. are you asking programmers to work without pay for several years in hope of possible (but not guaranteed) future sales? they build what they can and what they interested in.

third party scripts, это когда кроме Хелиос есть еще потребители export. пока можешь не трогать. Install Path, с момента последнего релиза Хелиоса все отдельные ЛА переехали в DCS World. Сомневаюсь что установленна та старая отдельная черная акула. так что install path указан не верный. должен быть что-то вроде "my saved games/DCS/scripts" или туда где лежит export (сейчас точно не подскажу тк DCS не установлен)

Econ, ЕМНИП В профилях LOZa интерфейс ЛА уже объявлен (иначе как могут быть привязаны приборы). SANIA, что это за "TARS=" в пути? Попрошу скриншот с выбра нным в редакторе интерфейсом игры. .(должго быть что-то вроде my saved games/DCS/scripts) EOS это совместимый с хелиос протокол связи для хардверных контроллеров над которым работал автор. Пока что можешь насчёт EOSa не волноваться. Да, санкции на слово "буржуйский".

предлагаю купить конструкторский набор/assortment тактильных кнопок. (например такой : http://www.ebay.com/itm/140pcs-14types-Momentary-Tact-Tactile-Push-Button-Switch-SMD-Assortment-Kit-Set-/142034765520?hash=item2111ee86d0:g:wHkAAOSwMNxXbEC5 ) и из них подобрать подходящее по высоте. но кроме кнопок остается огромная куча вопросов - как будет крепиться плата с распаянными кнопками к панели, корпус для всего этого итд. все это может повлиять на выбор кнопок. и да, у Patriot'a офигенный тред с постройкой его проэкта. очень рекомендую посмотреть.
