What type of aircraft are you most interested in?
muamshai replied to Rammit's topic in DCS Wishlist
mud-movers and helis plain fighters are just boring. -
alrighty, in short it is not possible between Ka-50 and A-10C because: 1. Ka-50 and A-10C use different lasing systems 2. I might be wrong but as far as I know, A-10C requires lasing frequency/channel (or whatever you say it because I don't fly A-10C..yet), and in Ka-50 you can't set it so no talk between Russian and American system, and besides it was never been implemented in real life. They still don't trust each other :P so, while not being annoying, is it possible for US armor (M1A1 etc.) to lase the target for A-10?

Su-25A might become a bit more difficult if it goes as detailed as DCS: A-10. Remember how fast it was to start up FC: A-10 and up in the air in no time? :D (but of course this will only happen if pigs fly or if Russian airforce orders the sim)

I am not sure if this question was asked before. If it did then apologize in advance. Is it possible of data sharing/targetting laser information between Ka-50 and A-10. Say, Ka-50 lases the target and A-10C fires the maverick. Although, this might be impossible due to difference between US and Russian system but I thought to ask anyways for clarification. If this scenario is not possible then what kind of information can be shared between the two. Cheers!

alrighty, so that very well means that World actually checks if Lock On is installed from OS registry before the installation of FC:3
-
I am not sure if this question was asked before, if not so here it is: So I have DCS World installed along with all available modules. I have already bought FC3 when it was available in discount in June. However, in order to have FC3 installed, you need lockon. I have it somewhere in my storage room. Now the question is, where should I install LockOn? In DCS World directory so that FC3 can see it "installed" before/during installation or somewhere else? Can I uninstall lockon after FC3 is installed?

5nm...hmm, too low range guess I will be toasted if I ever go against a human player (or a good AI) so better leave these AA units with AI. So I went to options for CA and checked "Compute firing solution". That seems to be working thx

so I am manning an OSA 9A33 but for some reason I see only crosshair, and can't lock the target at all by pressing Enter. Pressed Q and E and no change in the screen either Any idea what am I missing?

I am not sure if it is allowed to talk or not, but I'd like to know if you can add LLTV pod to your loadout in Su-25T? and if server allows it?
-
yes because I'd like to fly old good fashioned Su-25 together with Su-25T in DCS world and of course support the developers

Red Tails Movie - Crazy ass cobra/upswing manouvre?!?!?
muamshai replied to Aries's topic in Military and Aviation
Things I learned after watching Red Tails (2012): 1. Germans are not smart, you're leading the enemy back to your base and don't think about radioing ahead to warn them. 2. The enemy is more polite then your own countrymen, they refer to the Red tails as 'Africans' and your own use the n-word. 3. Escaping from a German POW camp looks really easy. 4. A good way to pickup Italian women is to do a flyover of her house and then show up at her doorstep. 5. When you design an airfield in a combat zone, make sure you place the buildings and tents within 20 feet of the runway sides and put the largest concentration at the end of the runway. 6. When you yank back on the stick and kick the rudder hard at 400+ km/h your plane will stop and pirouette in mid-air and your guns will align up perfectly on the enemy on your six. 7. Me-262s always attacked in packs of 20 or so. 8. When you are escorting bombers to the enemy's capital it is no big deal to chatter incessantly on the radios and even talk about where you are going and where you are. 9. Me-262's sound like Tie Fighters from Star Wars. 10. Making a head-on pass at an Me-262's cannons is a smart tactical move. 11. German warships sailed alone in broad daylight right near an American air base. 12. Despite being 180+ km/h faster, German jets are cupcakes when facing the Red Tails. 13. Me-262's cannons are only strong enough to plink aircraft hulls and put small holes into the canopy. 14. .50 cal machine guns on B17s sounded like that of a twin turbo laser. 15. When your best friend dies during aerial combat and you see his plane crash to the ground, you woodenly say "Damn!" like you just dropped your slice of pizza. 16. Fighters are now required to fly in between the bombers to protect them. 17. Momma doesn't care if the foreigner you let in your home soils your couch with your daughter in a premarital romp that would create a shotgun wedding back home. 18. German 30mm rounds made 8mm bullet holes. 19. German prison guards are horrible shots. 20. American bomber pilots all wear leather jackets with a big picture of a B17 on the back like a high school letterman's jacket. 21. The Germans only used 109s, skipped 190s, and went straight to a whole lone squadron of Me-262s. 22. Italian women say, "I love you" first in the relationship. Any Italian ladies here by the way?
