  2. I also like the updated cockpit! Another issue I haven't seen reported is that the mirrors are super dark even in clear days. I can't hardly see anything. They were Ok before the updated

  4. It happens to me with the left gear too. If you start in F2 view you can sometimes see how one gear is down and starts to move up immediately
  5. This happens to me sometimes too, along with other issues mentioned in the other campaign thread. I guess I will leave the campaign until eventually it gets hopefully updated. Looking forward to it since I really like it!
  6. I was just about to report this too. Is there any news from ED about this now that they are fixing bugs in 2.5?
  7. This also happens to me. It is a function of distance and/or zoom, so I assume when the contrail is big enough on screen its rendering is changed and then it works ok. If I zoom in or move closer I see the contrail OK, if I zoom out or move the camera farther, it looks wrong.
  8. It seems to me like aircraft fuselages are somehow transparent to certain lights so they illuminate the cockpit when they should not. The most obvius way this happens is when retracting the landing gear with the landing lights on for example on the F-15. The whole cockpit becomes really bright for a moment. It is even more obvious during night flights. It has also happened with the Huey and some exterior light behind the helicopter making the whole cockpit super bright, like the whole helicopter behind the cockpit was transparent to that particular light. If no one knows what I'm talking about I'll try to make some screenshots tomorrow.

I am enjoying the campaign so far. However I've found a problem that is driving me crazy. I'm currently at the third mission that has been generated for bombing Lincoln County airstrip and the AI won't drop bombs on it no matter what I do. I've flown two in which my flight is carrying out the attack and one in which I was the escort and an AI flight was bombing. In all three cases, no AI plane dropped any bombs. I've been playing around with the last mission in the editor, trying to find out what's going on and after multiple attempts I can't get it to work. If I set my flight to AI pilots, they just fly over the airstrip and do nothing. No one is firing at them, they are not defensive, just flying over the route.   13. Actually it was flying an old mission. I think it's working as intended but the bombs used to illuminate the ground from farther above before. Now they must be lower in order to be useful.
  14. ... actually it works with deferred shading turned off, but it is not an ideal situation
  15. Has this been fixed already? I'm having an issue with the iluminating bombs being practically useless in another mission but this the only place I found where someone mentions some issue with them.

  17. Well, but I assume the system works by analizing the TV image and the time of day will definitely affect that. Less contrast might make the system unable to "see" the target. That's why I ask if this actually making it more realistic or it's a bug

  21. Thanks again for the insight Bunyap. I think you might be right about the wingmen being close to flak. I flew the mission again, going further south and attacked 2 convoys near the first waypoint and another near the second and the wingmen responded very well. I've been studying yesterday's acmi and the first thing the wingmen do is moving back, probably trying to find some distance to the threat but actually moving closer to other flak guns. I probably didn't stay long enough to see what they did. I still think it is a very weird behaviour and on top of that the user doesn't get any feedback from the AI so it's difficult to know what's wrong and what's going on. They still had the bombs and never dropped them.
  22. Hi again! I'm having this annoying issue in mission 6. I'm pretty sure it is the only mission so far I've noticed it. It happened before 2.5 and now with 2.5 as well. The wingmen acknowledge the order to attack time and time again and they actually seem to fly towards the targets, but don't do anything at all. Debriefings show none of them shoot a single bullet, everytime I've tried the mission (3 times so far). What's going on here? :huh:
  23. Hi all. Since updating to 2.5 I noticed the cockpit lights are on by default. During daytime flights it's too bright so it's quite annoying having to turn off the lights everytime. I guess this is a bug... or maybe is it a new "feature"? EDIT: BTW I didn't mean that in a negative way, I was thinking maybe now we can somehow choose the position of the dials at startup. Anyway DCS is more fun than ever with 2.5
