I'm much better at it now - still wobble a bit. I do think VR helps a lot. I still get PIO's but not as much once I relax and flow and breathe normally and think about what I'm doing - once I start getting agitated I mess up all the time. I fly the Mirage pretty much exclusively as it's so nice to fly. I do go back to the A-10C every now and then but still can't refuel properly with that now!

Ok, so I've not noticed this before tonight. In both the up to date versions of 1.5 and 2.0, my left toe brake is not responding in this sim - not in game or in Options!! This happens in all aircraft. Only the right one is responding, there are also no keybinds on any aircraft with the left (or right) toebrake. I know the axis works as I've checked in Windows 10 Set up game controllers - no issues with my MFG's. Any ideas? Thanks Edit: It's ok, some how it works again. Strange.

A GTX 1070 or 1060 for an older computer
mr_mojo97 replied to sobe's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I just upgraded to an MSI Gtx1070 from a 970 with an i5 2500k oc'd to 4.3. If you don't use vr you at all you should a very good results. Before I plugged my rift cv1 in, I checked some fps in Vegas. Where I was getting 60 fps in full settings with the 970 I was getting 95 plus with the 1070. Although I now fly exclusively with the rift I'm only getting 35 on full settings at low altitude down the strip (but try not to fly too low - gives me an awful woozy feeling in helos). So I'd say get the best you can afford anyways -
Welcome. It's rubbish. There have been many, many threads regarding this. Please search

F-18 grip, WARTHOG compatible
mr_mojo97 replied to hegykc's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I'm sure he's mentioned on a few occasions now but you've probably missed that he's fine tuning his procedures for manufacturing the more complex stuff by doing his simple products first. Doing it the other way round just to please a few people will inevitably lead to longer processing times and higher prices. I'm sorry but I just don't get why people keep suggesting to him the way he should do it. He's been think about his business for 3 years plus and he's obviously thought about everything that's been asked here- why not this way?, why not that way? He's doing it his way to make it better/cheaper for us. Was Rome built in a day? -

I'm sure he'll easily make them specifically for Lanky too! -
Broke my Warthog... For a bit at least

Why not just remove the white connector and solder the wires straight onto the pcb yourself? Will only take 5 mins -

Preffered Radio/Nav Input Device?
mr_mojo97 replied to Ratcatcher's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
You could just buy a generic plastic box and a Leo bodnar card and link up some rotary encoders. Easy. And you'd be able to use them for all aircraft -
Turns out I'd accidentally uncheck the vr box!

As above. It seems locked at that although I've done nothing to limit it there. It's like that on all low, medium and high settings. Still making me a bit green. I've tried changing PD but still no luck. Any ideas? Cheers

It was automatically starting in the Rift earlier this evening. Then I was messing about with Afterburner to oc my new 1070 and now DCS starts, but not in the Rift although not sure if it's related or not. Works in 2.0 as normal though and everything else. Any ideas, chaps?

VAICOM 2.0 for VoiceAttack

I think this was the same issue I had. Try keeping the PTT button pressed a touch longer -
Well, the resolution is terrible, don't expect it to be anywhere near your 4K. And you need to have labels on or your not going to see your opponent. BUT, vr at this post is all about being there. It's simply amazing. Yeah, I still get option sickness sometimes, depending on what I'm doing, I'm trying to build up tolerance slowly. Some are saying 3-5 years for the generation of vr to get to a 4K level. It's gonna depend on the cpu and gpu tech. I'm sure vr screens and tech are already available but no pc in the world will run them at a reasonable price point for general consumers at the moment. I'd say anyways.

Right click the speaker in bottom right of tool bar and select Playback devices. When the sound window opens up select Rift audio and Set default

As above really. It's in an A4 lever arch binder. All 652 pages. All pages are in excellent condition although I've mis punched the the first 30 or so and they don't line up with the rest!! Excellent to have by your side rather than coming out of the sim Preferably Uk only as it's quite heavy but certainly can post worldwide if you're prepared to pay a premium for it. Make me an offer plus probably £10 postage to uk

Can you map a joytsick button instead of the mouse button for the rift (re-centre and crosshair click specifically)?

£50 anyone?

Ok, so since I got my Rift this is now for sale. Issues - As per usual - the thing had broke just by looking at it. So it's had a permanant polymorph fix. I made it wireless by chopping the cable and adding a new usb port just long enough to reach the new rechargeable battery (supplied). Looking for £65 to UK. Anywhere else subject to postage charge

Nice one, cheers for that

Hi, ordered the rift on Tuesday from the Oculus store and it arrived Friday. Not had the chance to se it DCS yet though. I keep hearing about the different runtimes and sdk, should I be using this or just use the PD in settings? Anything else I need to know? The Apollo 11 doc is amazing by the way. Thanks

Superb, easy to build too and to be honest with VR possibly going to revolutionise sims, basic pits like this are gonna be the norm. This is gonna suit a lot of people. Good show ol' boy.

F-18 grip, WARTHOG compatible

And for the 1 million plus of people who can't afford 800 dollars for a rift? Plus the extra hardware such as top end gpu and cpu you'll need to run it? I think your heads are in the clouds thinking everyone is going to use one. I'm sure most people will use one at some point but not until the price of everything comes waaaaaaaaaaaay down in price so to say that these panels are already obsolete is total pish talk. And to say that having a cockpit requires a full dome projector ? Garbage talk. I had a full cockpit for the A-10C (almost 1:1) without a dome and without projectors but still had very good immersion. If Hegykc can create these panels at a fraction of the cost (that he says can) of a rift then he'll make his money back no doubt about that. As long as his joysticks are spot on with all metal gimbals similar to the VKB Gunfighter with interchangeable grips plus all the other items he says he's making (and I'm sure he's probably not even just making stuff for the flight sim market) he'll be minted soon enough. Anyways times will tell, it's good that he's back on the forums with further details on his projects. All of which look cool to me.
