  1. Nealius and others... in the stand alone V1.1.1.1 I did not notice this.... only in 'world'. It is a small thing but glad I can turn it off!
  2. thanks folks... good to know it's not another $300.00 problem with my rig!
  3. Is it the sim or my rig? Hog looks like it's on a bungee cord... track shows inner view... no bungee effect, but outer view paused and running... old news, input? thanks :music_whistling:
  4. This might be old news, but check out the 2013 Cockpit Fest in Wichita, Kansas. http://forum.avsim.net/page/FANCON%202013/index.html
  5. Thanks chilidfan..... for about the 30th. time! You are a champ, my man!
  6. Just now downloading DCS world. Been flying version 1.1.1.1 with zero grief since it's relaese. Do I have to buy the new, compatible A10C package? Or is there a way to get A10C / world under my existing serial number.... Just hoping, as I'm Scottish!
  7. hello gentlemen... I acquired my 4th. monitor 6 days ago and have been fighting (and losing mostly!) with lua files for the last 4 days. I stumbled upon this thread, frustrated... and I must say I too am looking forward to this tool. Still flying version 1.1.1.1.... 'cause it all works for me. Just one question.... I keep seeing "a contribution has been made". How do I make a 'contribution'? I think you should be rewarded handsomely for creating this tool. Please educate me on this!!:book::thumbup: Bmon
  8. you won't like it, but this might help! I lub my ir tracker, but it took awhile. It really boils down to personal preference... try all the profiles available, but I gaurantee you won't be satisfied until you find your own comfort zone! Play with it, change everyting until it looks right to you. I have had mine for just over 1 year and I'm still tweaking. It does get better but it takes time and 'patience'. The best place to start is right here... and good luck! You won't regret it! Picksplitter out
  9. call me old school... I too get the shudders and stutters after @ 4 hours of flight. I have tried some of the cures offered up and they work for awhile... but after @ 4 hours of flight I get the stutters again. So, I de-frag. And then I have @ 4 hours of stutter free flying. Old school? Stupid newbee? Old guy with no idea whats going on? I'm open to all of this and more, but a de-frag really seems to clear all this up! at least for me!
  10. okay, but you won't like it! Read and re-read the manual! It's a beast but all things related really are in there. Fly and re-fly all the training missions. Once you've finished a lesson, just fly yer butt off doing and learning the aircraft... (deaths don't count in the training missions!) To your question... Trim, trim, trim.... page 491 in the manual... keyboard commands... ;RCtrl... Nose down .RCtrl... nose up ,RCtrl... left wing down /RCtrl... right wing down and map these to your joystick 'cause you'll use them alot! ...practice this at all speeds and altitudes. Can't stress this enough... caused me months of grief until some kind souls gently pointed it out... Good luck and welcome to (possibly) the hardest thing you've ever tried to master! It is worth every minute of the effort you'll have to invest.
  11. okay.... radio comm's have shown up like this for me from day one, I just thought it was normal. I do use the 'easy' mode for comm's. In 'audio' I also have 'sub-titles' checked. This probably won't help, but thought I should toss it in here. (okay, poor reading skills, CZ__BPK already mentioned this...) Note to Sven2157... Stow it, your rude and childish banter is really out of place here. Never seen the like of it in the 1000's of posts I've read in this forum.
  12. I just told 'herself' it's what keeps me out of the pub's and my buddies away from the house... Check bio for 'sim pit' albumn....
  13. Right... which is why I wound up ignoring SST and re-programmed the whole enchilada within the options/control thingy.... just seemed simpler for me! Works every time with no grief!
  14. When you go into options/controls... top right is a drop down menu for 'free camera', 'sim' and 'game'.... ensure that your lua file is the same for each option. I know this caused me lots of grief in the 'not knowing 'bout it' learning phase! Note.... you have to highlight the x52 coloumn for each option and check what lua file is showing... re-load as necissary (sic) Hope this helps...
  15. I have always used the Saitek x52.... adequate until I can afford a Thrustmaster Wart Hog. The sad bit is if I'd just bit the bullet and got the thrustmaster, it would be 'paid off' by now.... Bite the bullet, you won't be disapointed!
  16. I say don't hesitate.... best dollars I've ever spent for this game. Head wobble.... oh yeah, 'cause I'm not that steady myself. Thankfully, TrackIR has a pause button!
  17. thanks super.... thought maybe so... tried to buy at current price, but steam sign in won't recognize me as a 'human being' 3 tries... wierd, but will try again...
  18. just went to the site offered above.... price 15.99 usd. Still a great deal, but am I in the wrong place? Scotsman here... tossing way $6.00 is almost suicidal!
  19. I have no idea either... but if you haven't deleted your browser history you should be able to find it in there? Good luck and please post a link for it if you find it!
  20. call me old school... but when I 'click' to load a mission, I just go do the dishes or some gardening. I come back, presto.... flight ready! Simple, easy, no stress....
  21. Hey there... newbie also and I can't help you with your specific problem but here goes... Please see http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1610338#post1610338 with special thanks to PeterP. This is a gold mine of information. c/w sub pages for all sorts of related things... Lua.files... if you're as green as me, welcome to a whole new world of pain! Worth it once learned, but man, it hurt. Create copies of the original files somewhere safe and play at it. Delete, reload and try again. I also had allot of initial grief with my Lilliputs. This is important... when installing Lilliput, windows will try to seek and update drivers... STOP IT! Do not alow this to happen... can't stress this enough. If you missed this bit, delete Lillipit and re-install. And my god man, stop windows!.... with qudo's and appologies to the pilot who pointed this out... old guy here can't remember yer name... If all the above fail you, seek Lilliput.com, look for the California supplier and call. Her name is Johanna and she helped me to no end... talked me thru the whole process. She believes in and stands by her product. Quite the gal. Also... for everyone... call her to order direct... Um80/usb touch for $175 usd (1 to 10 units) + shipping (cheap). as a newbie.... the best thing I've done was make a knee-board out of eraseable white board... good for re-writing files, learning MFCD sequences, weapons profile sequencing... etc., etc., ad-infenitum... Good luck, hope this helps and stay at it... the Hawg is worth it! Bmon / Picksplitter out...
  22. I have a saitek and personally can't wait to afford the Warthog.... soon I hope! The new ( Saitek combat ) rudder cost will be the icing on the cake, 'cause flying without rudders is like driving an automatic... anybody can do it! Bmon
  23. I guess if you want the most uncomfortable and unstable rig going, this might be the way to go. No lateral or horizontal support and just plain ugly. My vote is to bite the bullet early, go to your local aluminum welder and let loose the dogs of sim-pit configuration. After my own journey into pfc possibilites, cardboard and plywood potentials I finally just asked an adult to do it! ( I dropped close to $600.00 cnd just to find out I really didn't know what I was doing! ) If you don't have the tools or knowledge you can save alot, in both time and money! ( please see sim-pit albumn in Bmon40 ) Just me sayin' Bmon / Picksplitter
  24. hope this helps Het there.... this is a good place to start! Lots of ideas, suggestions and tweaks. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=68060
  25. sorry about the ambiguity.... it was 'game avionics', thanks Smokey. This is what I meant.... red diamonds for enemy, green triangles for friendlies.... No idea how it came about, but I'm back to what I'm used to.... thanks again! Hopefully this time I managed to attach the track... Thanks again gents.... Bmon
