  1. this also happened for me... it seems the slider works in 'increments' and if you're between one increment and the next, you'll get 'stutter'...
  2. on my x52 it was mapped to one of the three rocker switches at the base of the stick... now using the Thrustmaster HOTAs, mapped to a hat switch... I always used the 'zoom in slow' / 'zoom out slow' function.... good luck
  3. hey there... I had the zoom working with my x52, no problems. Suggest possibly to go back into 'options / controller' , delete existing commands for zoom, re-program zoom, quit the sim, do a restart and see if that convinces it! good luck!
  4. you know, I never had any luck with the Saitek programming, sad but true. I had great success just programming the stick and throttle within the game and highly suggest this option! (go to 'options' / 'controls' and it's all there... easiest way for me....)
  5. I can't lift the log to suck it... too old, too slow, so I have to kneel down and do the stump. I'd be the first to say my flying sucks, but I am having a great time... hope that helps...:smilewink: drunk typing... just say 'no'
  6. hey folks, Bob here. Canadian, left coast, B.C. and the stories are true :music_whistling: Never ventured into multiplayer 'cause if I've learned anything in the last 2 years with my hawg... it's that I am the single most dangerous thing out there to me ... but I love it!
  7. sorry guys, no vid's to add... but all of the preceding just reinforces why this old guy should stay in his room, with his little sim pit... :smilewink: too old, too slow, too fraking scared!... ahhh, to be 20 again...
  8. RIP Tom. Read everything he wrote and/or co-wrote. Loved them all.... hope he doesn't need to use the quote I use... hope all's well on the far side...
  9. thanks partner... good chuckles... everybody's got to learn sometime! Negative on mph and speak in knots.... I loved the 'that's all I know' bit... been there, burnt the t shirt... bought a new one, burnt that too... welcome to a hell-ish-lee long learning curve!
  10. Not really sure if this will help, but... in my job I have a supplier of all things 'o' ring related. I have taken some pretty nasty, beaten up things to them and they've always been able to match/accommodate. Try a supplier of plumbing, hydraulic, or even electrical concerns... if they can't satisfy, they will surely steer you in the right direction.... adapt and overcome... But I must agree with Cichlidfan... might be simpler just to buy a new rig...
  11. I've said before and I'll say it again.... If I had to by a new A10C and saw a $100.00 price... I wouldn't even blink.... this sim, the people who built it and continue to improve it are worth every cent they ask for... and more, imho... sheesh.... my copy cost $40.00... I now have over 6K in my sim pit... no grief / remorse here!
  12. hey folks.... another option... do a system restoral to a date previous to the 1.2.6 update... it worked for me! I innocently 'gafingerpoked' an o.k. to 1.2.6 and instantly regretted it... nothing seemed to work. Reverted back to 1.2.3.... which I seem to have figured out... back to where everything works on my Hawg... :music_whistling: Don't get me wrong... I am a die hard DCS fan, but.... just say no to upgrades.... I'm still puck shy of 1.2.4.... :helpsmilie:but then again, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer... 273 hours / 356 landings and still crashing.... Picksplitter
  13. Just couldn't resist, 'cause you've described me to a tee! I too am looking forward to some knowledgeable, experienced input here... I can only hope simple words are used, but pictures would be better :smilewink: (low tech humor) A lightning storm in a little black box? "I love the smell of ozone in the morning"....
  14. Sorted it out.... was using a button on my throttle for centering TrackIR and it was centering on both buttons (one throttle and one joystick) Changed that, seems to be fine now. Sheesh.... 273 hrs. on this airframe and I'm still the biggest threat to me
  15. found one link... read it thru a bit of it... all I saw was a bunch o' stuff I don't understand  and there doesn't seem to be a fix for it... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=95416&highlight=incorrect+track+file
  16. Yes, there are other reports of this.... somewhere. Will try to find them.... This has also happened to me.... the trk has very little in common with the flight flown... not certain as to why or what to do about, except stop trying to save trk's :music_whistling: (at least that's what I did....)
  17. hey mike, thanks but no joy.... Trigger 1st. stage was suddenly mapped to 'p'.. removed that but camera still jumps... arrrgh tried to attach a trk, doesn't want to do that either... So, I did a restoral from before this latest update (updated today to 1.2.6), back to 1.2.3 and it's still doing it... Edit: Getting closer to the issue... and it's not DCS. The 'camera jump' does not happen when I leave TrackIR off... weird...
  18. Howdy... this just started with last update... when I engage the gun the view jumps/leaps in with a vengeance. I zoom out, okay, fire the gun.... zoom in without my input. Any ideas please? Tried to find a thread on this but no joy...
  19. Too true, Mia... Soon after getting my Hog I was also very impressed by the decorum on this forum. There seems to be no end of patient individuals here prepared to talk anyone thru anything! And I must agree with Spetzs' take on the demographic... but the joy lies in seeing the 'youngun's' picking up on the respect and emulating it. Which again, proves an ancient adage true... Courtesy is contagious  Picksplitter out
  20. .... too true, that one... long past the time to be gafingerpokin' but for me, the joy is in the build. my pit is (comparatively) quite simple, but each time I use it, it is a joy... because I dreamt it up and built it. And yes, I'd much rather touch something than click it with a mouse... hooorah
  21. I use them for research only
  22. Just my take, but if I lost my a10c tomorrow and found it would cost $99.00 (euro) to replace... I wouldn't even blink. This sim is worth it... and for the same reason I don't buy used books.... the cash should go to the writer / inventor.... just sayin'!
  23. I couldn't agree more. Yes, a lot of cash, but after having one, I'd have no problem paying a lot more! Picksplitters' Pit... http://forums.eagle.ru/album.php?albumid=693
