You really need to check your support tickets

this just might possibly be the only disgusting thread I've ever read (endured) on this forum. Can I give him/her the 15 bucks back? I'd be happy to do this with the assured promise of never ever returning to this little village... or showing up in multi-player... (although I can't see that turning out very good....) P.S. 'the customer is always right'... the other side of that coin states that 'rude folks are always wrong...' Someone help me here.... what does ****ing mean and what kind of sound does it make? -
Hey there... to choose a skin... open mission editor, open the mission you want to fly, ensure you have the 'country' you want to fly chosen, click on the plane, find the payload button in the menu on the right of the screen ( about half way down you'll see a row of buttons, it's the second one in ), look to the very bottom of this menu and find 'paint scheme', and choose your skin. Now do this for all missions.... As far as I know, this can't be done for training missions, but I really could be wrong on this... If there's an easier way, I surely don't know it...:music_whistling:

Hey there... personally I have an aluminum sled and simply bolted the Saitek's down. Another option might be 'non slip' pads available at any 'chandlery' (a shop dealing in boating supplies... most often used for coffee cups and dinner plates). This product can usually be cut to size. Cheap too, and allows for repositioning very easily. Just another option :smilewink:

Is there no DCS engine for developers to download?

Hey Double_D, I get it... there is a huge difference between theoretical and practical.... I don't have graphs, charts or anything else to back it up, just stories... I live and work in a 'retirement capital', in an industry that allows me access to peoples homes on an annual basis. When I tell them about DCS and my pit, it lights them up! I have had 'spitfire' drivers tell me stories about embarrassing 'mosquito' drivers and 'mosquito' drivers who've embarrassed 'everybody else'. I know a P51 driver who wouldn't trust his life to any other plane... a 'harrier' driver from the Faulklands conflict who wouldn't dream of getting in any other airframe... an RCAF pilot from the Gulf War (1st.) who wouldn't consider using anything other than an F16. A Huey driver from Viet Nam that just won't stop singing it's praises.... 'Herman', who this year turned 93, says there's absolutely no reason to trust anything other than an ME109... he's German, it's the plane that saved his life.... many, many times. I've seen the Tuskegee guys talk... and I admire their courage, but for all these young lads, American, German, British, Vietnamese, etc. etc.... they all, to a man, love the memories of the thing that kept them alive  And that, my man, is practical!

Weld.... I stand in awe... from the seat to where you are in 1 year? Spooky  Glad to see you've got a room to yourself for this! In /54.jpg is that a helmet I see on the seat? Was that a precious find or does somebody actually make them? In short.... it makes look at my pit my pit and say, "right, redo from start" :( Well done man, outstanding!

can't remember all of them, but I do recall making Col. at @ 240 hours (flying RCAF / Canadian).

re Edge / Nevada map.... I'm just looking forward to flying over Groom Lake / Area 51 and getting escorted out or shot down. What will happen if I actually try to land there? Hummmm.... which will it be, or all three? Don't even get me started 'bout landing on the Strip and parking in the MGM parkade. (or gunning the 'Welcome to Las Vegas' sign...) or tossing a dozen mav's at the Wynn... I have a personal bone to pick with 3 of it's bouncers... but more importantly.... will there be slot machines? Bring on 'the Edge'! Huzzah...

I'm using Gadroc's DCS a10c file for helios. Having great success but with an issue. Would a more proficient mind than I please steer me towards info on how to resize these panels? I can resize them but various bits are left out of the picture. i.e : resize the UFC and the steer rocker switch is still there but out on it's own and not within the panel itself. I've read a lot of info on helios, but can't find this function. Or is it even doable once the panel is built? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

warthog hotas and helios conflict?
Picksplitter replied to Picksplitter's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
thanks, will try it :) -
hope this is the right place... sudden conflict with Thrustmaster Hotas and helios :( The mic switch, forward, aft and down now remove from the monitor my fuel panel and all temp, fan, rpm, fuel flow, oil pess., apu and egi gauges. Mic switch up turns them back on. All my helios panels taken with thanks ( copied and pasted ) from gadrocs a10c file. All was fine just yesterday, now this bit of weirdness :music_whistling: Any ideas... Thanks

I'd love to see an option to make targets / vehicles larger :smilewink:

Ksajural, save yourself a lot of grief and try Icemakers Easy Monitor Configuration! Found here... http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/270123/ also for Helios... Gadrocs loz or a10 files are great... cut and paste what you wish to use... no re-writing anything... sweet! http://www.gadrocsworkshop.com/node/159I Good luck!

7" 4:3 Monitors for Cougar MFD??
Picksplitter replied to Ride's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I first used 7" Lilliput monitors and just kicked myself for 'cheaping' out! The areas of the MFD's not covered are distracting! I should have gone for the 8" Here's the evidence.... http://forums.eagle.ru/album.php?albumid=693&pictureid=4839 -
I'm 61 but 24 inside my head... and I know how to use 'carbon paper':music_whistling:

sheesh... still a nube.... 'rudder pedals', sorry:doh: Thanks Cichlidfan!
-
hi there.... the short answer is 'rudders'! No twist action on the stick? 'Rudders'! Sorry, but true... not sure on this, but you might be able to map the keyboard 'arrow' keys for the nosewheel, but that would just be weird! I just got my Thrustmaster Hotas recently... took me awhile to realize I had to use 'rudders' fer steering.... sad, but true. Google your local 'used stuff' site. you might find something there. Good luck!

well done UCAS, well done... I suspect opening the doors might be accomplished in the same manner?

Dudester, check this out... it helped me immensely with trackir... I've had mine @ a year now and just 2 days ago discovered the 'precision' function... stupid but true. It's a whole new world! Adapt and overcome, bro!
