Nice simple pit. Btw, I used to have those same posters of the Apache growing up. Even got the side view one autographed by an Apache pilot from Ft. Rucker while in college nearby. Don't ask where they are now, I've moved around too many times.

Update for those who have purchased checklists, but have not recieved them. The packages that were sent out to those in the US and Canada, the checklists have been hidden away at the US Customs. I've located the packages and spoken to customs about it. I still cannot guarantee when you will get them, but they are found and should be on their way. If you recently made an order (within the last week or so) I am working on those in my spare time. I just got a new job working at the airport, and the hours don't give me much time to fly/spend with the wife/do checklists. Fear not, they will be shipped ASAP.

Due to issues with International shipping, I am no longer selling the laminated Checklists. Thank you to all those who have purchased up until now. I will do my best to make sure you still recieve your checklists.

Wooot, yeah, but timeline could be forever, and that also doesn't meant other things will come first. That list is totally basic to where I wouldn't get too hyped about it... unless Wags comes back in and proves me wrong.

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List

Side-seaters (A-6s) are called BNs (Bombadier/Navigator). :music_whistling: -
Dude that looks awesome. Which screen are you using? That looks a whole lot better that using the Ipad, which I could use better for checklists and maps. hehe.

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
hog_driver111th replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
This all brings back my statement months ago about how they should make 2 versions of the Super Bug. The E model, for those that want to fly alone, and the F model for those that want to fly with someone. The 'F' model, give the person in the backseat a set of controls that can be switched by either pilot or Nav on/off (for instructor purposes), sothat if either pilot loses connection to the server, the other pilot can at least bug-out, head home, and grab the single-seat version. Having the 'F' model though, could be used for Aerial-Tanking as is real-world, or make it possible to switch over to the F/A-18G Growler Electronic Warfare version. Only having the single seat version knocks off way too many options for this jet. Having the backseater creates a whole knew world of things the pilot can do, and it the real world requires specialized training. According to a friend of mine that's a PC on the superhornet, "...any pilot of the E-model cannot just jump into the F, and vice versa. There are regulations against it..." However, in the sim, we all can learn it at our own rate and since it's a sim, we're not killing ourselves or anyone if we do something wrong. The only real issue I see has nothing to do with teams/ai/2-seat ops/etc... Where I would see a problem is in the MP scoring. Sure the scores aren't everything, but that's where I would see it being tough. Also with Ping rates. If the Pilot has a lot lower ping than the RIO, there may be issues.... All this talk of the AI being the issue, I'm sure ED could come up with any number of solutions. -
Realistic repairs option for future versions?
hog_driver111th replied to TulsA-10's topic in DCS Wishlist
Radio option might be good. Just like putting the ladder up and down, you have to call Ground Crew in order to get repaired. -
Civilian Takes a Ride This message is for America ‘s most famous athletes: Someday you may be invited to fly in the back-seat of one of your country’s Most powerful fighter jets. Many of you already have. John Elway, John Stockton, Tiger Woods to name a few. If you get this opportunity, Let me urge you, with the greatest sincerity…. Move to Guam. Change your name. Fake your own death! Whatever you do. Do Not Go!!! I know. The U.S. Navy invited me to try it. I was thrilled. I was pumped. I was toast! I should’ve known when they told me my pilot would Be Chip (Biff) King of Fighter Squadron 213 at Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach. Whatever you’re thinking a Top Gun named Chip (Biff) King looks like, triple it. He’s about six-foot, tan, ice-blue eyes, wavy surfer hair, Finger-crippling handshake — the kind of man who wrestles Dyspeptic alligators in his leisure time. If you see this man, run the Other way. Fast. Biff King was born to fly. His father, Jack King, was for years the Voice of NASA missions. (‘T-minus 15 seconds and counting’. Remember?) Chip would charge neighborhood kids a quarter each to hear his dad. Jack would wake up from naps surrounded by nine-year-olds waiting for him to say, ‘We have liftoff’. Biff was to fly me in an F- 14D Tomcat, a ridiculously powerful $60 million weapon with nearly as much thrust as weight, not unlike Colin Montgomerie. I was worried about getting airsick, so the night before the flight I asked Biff if there was something I should eat the next morning. ‘Bananas,’ he said. ‘For the potassium?’ I asked. ‘No,’ Biff said, ‘because they taste about the same coming up As they do going down.’ The next morning, out on the tarmac, I had on my flight suit with my name sewn over the left breast. (No call sign — like Crash or Sticky or Leadfoot. But, still, very cool.) I carried my helmet in the crook of my arm, as Biff had Instructed. If ever in my life I had a chance to nail Nicole Kidman, this was it. A fighter pilot named Psycho gave me a safety briefing and then fastened me into my ejection seat, which, when employed, would ‘egress’ me out Of the plane at such a velocity that I would be immediately knocked Unconscious. Just as I was thinking about aborting the flight, the canopy closed over me, and Biff gave the ground crew a thumbs-up In minutes we were firing nose Up at 600 mph. We leveled out and then canopy-rolled over another F-14. Those 20 minutes were the rush of my life. Unfortunately, the ride lasted 80. It was like being on the roller coaster at Six Flags Over Hell. Only without rails. We did barrel rolls, snap rolls, loops, yanks and banks. We dived, rose and Dived again, sometimes with a vertical velocity of 10,000 feet per minute. We chased another F-14, and it chased us. We broke the speed of sound. Sea was sky and sky was sea. Flying at 200 feet we did 90-degree turns at 550 mph, creating a G force of 6.5, Which is to say I felt as if 6.5 times my body weight was smashing Against me, thereby approximating life as Mrs.. Colin Montgomerie. And I egressed the bananas. And I egressed the pizza from the night before. And the lunch before that. I egressed a box of Milk Duds from the sixth grade. I made Linda Blair look polite. Because of the G’s, I was egressing stuff that never thought would be egressed. I went through not one airsick bag, but two. Biff said I passed out. Twice.. I was coated in sweat. At one point, As we were coming in upside down in a banked curve on a mock Bombing target and the G’s were flattening me like a tortilla and I Was in and out of consciousness, I realized I was the first person In history to throw down. I used to know ‘cool’. Cool was Elway throwing a touchdown pass, Or Norman making a five-iron bite.. But now I really know ‘cool’. Cool is guys like Biff, men with cast-iron stomachs and freon nerves. I wouldn’t go up there again for Derek Jeter’s black book, but I’m glad Biff does every day, and for less a year than a rookie reliever makes in a home stand. A week later, when the spins finally stopped, Biff called. He said he and the fighters had the perfect call sign for me. Said he’d send it on a patch for my flight suit. What is it? I asked. ‘Two Bags.’

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
hog_driver111th replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Could then even do the EF-111 Raven to go in and run SEAD/ECM for the rest of the group. I had a friend that flew the 111 (before flying the -16, then F-117) out of Cannon AFB. He said the only problem he ever had flying the beast was on final one day. One Pitot tube got clogged at the same time the other one malfunctioned. The on-board computer pushed the stick out of his hand to nose the jet over at 500ft to get airspeed, as it saw the jet now had none. He flipped off the computer (glad they had that), pulled back hard and went full AB. They slammed into the runway hard, but nothing busted and were able to get her stopped in time. Another things cool about the 111 of course is the Dump and Burn. -
Forgive me for asking... I haven't read everyone's post and haven't checked out the site (getting ready for work)... is Crysis 2 MP capable? If so, that could make for some serious battle with a small army of techno-suited guys.

After ejection, you'll land on your feet. Now what?
hog_driver111th replied to Humanvegetable's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
That would be fun, but it's been tested and doesn't work in MP.... well, it sort of works. Only the host and do it, but nobody sees the vehicle driving around. -
Hey yall, My wife is letting me get an ipad 2 for my Bday next month. I thought of getting the warthog, but for now would like to get something we can use any where, since my cougar is working fine. It's also that part of the money we're using is from her Bday in Feb. Anyway, I'd really like to add the CDU (don't need the rest of the pit) including exporting the actual CDU screen. Which software will I need, where can I get it, and does it cost anything? If anyone knows who made this video, I'd basically like to get that.

Harv, once you get the startup figured out, you could get up in the air within 5 minutes of joining. I know that seems like a long time when you just want to go, but I can get all my systems running and ready to taxi in under 5 minutes. The 4 minutes for the EGI to align takes the longest, but while that's working, I'm doing everything else. Think of it as being on a 5 minute alert without having Paulrkiii standing there with the GPU already connected, lol.

DCS-A10C Warthog-Real Altimeter from a Phantom F4
hog_driver111th replied to juankeiko's topic in Home Cockpits
Where'd you get it, and how much was it? I've been looking for something like this, and this one looks very much like the A-10C one. -
Boy I sure hope someone is still up tonight. Fuel Question.
hog_driver111th replied to BoneSaw's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Flip the Cross Feed switch on the fuel panel by your left knee. -
It is possible. Use the arrow keys, and the +/- on the keypad for thrust. I think your issue will come into play when you need to be going through your systems a lot, and having to do all those keypresses can be a pain.

Pilot Salute/thumbs up?
hog_driver111th replied to hollywoody's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Can we add in the ability to have the head move in the Y axis instead of just looking left and right? I would be great for no comm takeoffs ;) -
I'm sorry, but I don't understand why people always have to put in their negative thoughts towards a wish list. It's a wish, that's all. That being said, there is plenty that can be done with a transport like the MH-60, carrying weapons or not. Take a look at all the videos on YouTube for the 60s, and what they can do. Any of these helos can do quite a lot, and I agree with the common thinking that maybe instead of trying to get something like the AH-64 (although that would be bitchin') might not be doable with the 2 seat setup. The other aircraft such as *-60, AH-6, AH-1Y and such can be done with a single seat, and have other capabilites. And as for the "Digital COMBAT Simulator" part, these are all combat ready aircraft in the US Military inventory.

I would love to see a DCS *H-60. Could even have it where if you land in a target zone, the ai troops will board, and you fly them to somewhere on the map. Would also be good to move tanks, and other vehicles, not to mention the CSAR along side the Warthog.... plus this "could be" done single pilot with maybe an option to have someone ride along in the left seat if they get shot down, or for training purposes.

Anyone know where the file is to edit the data plate numbers? I'd like to repaint it to be the same as my tail number. I tried searching through the different cockpit textures, but didn't see where I could edit it.

I'm hearing that some of the checklists are not arriving. If you have not received your order, please leave me a PM and I'll look into it. As of July 1st, all orders to date have been shipped. I appologize for any issues due to shipping. Once it leaves my hands I have no control over how long it takes or if it gets there. If there have been issues, in the future I will ask for an extra $1 or 2 to cover insurance.

EDIT: Double post

Charlietuna, I'll take the job. Shoot me a PM with what you want, and I'll get working on it. I did also send you an email about it.

Anyone not seen Helios in Action with DCS A10-C
hog_driver111th replied to Loz's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Loz, great video. Would it be possible (unless you have already) to post a video with you using the trackir and cockpit view to give a better idea on how you use it on a daily (or hourly ;) ) basis?
