  1. Thanks Dark, exactly what I was looking for.
  2. There are also the screws on the bottom sides that tighten down to keep them upright. I don't use the supports only because when I'm not flying I open the screws a little to fold them down and hide them under my monitor "box".
  3. This might have been posted before, but in my search of the forum, I didn't come up with the answer. I only have a single monitor, but would like to try flying with the MFCDs at the bottom corners until I can get 2 extra monitors for my TM MFDs. How can I do this and still have the full cockpit?
  4. For a meeting in Central Europe, next year September 2012 is the opening of the Berlin-Brandenburg Internation Airport (BER/EDDB) and there will be the ILA http://www.ila-berlin.de/ila2012/home/index_e.cfm The Airshow is 1 week, and resembles the Paris Tattoo with Military, Commercial, and GA aircraft from all around Europe/Asia and the US. Last year (having served in the USAF) I had a nice chat with a B-1 Crew Chief, and got my wife and I to sit in the cockpit. This would be a great place for those in Europe to meet up, and should give everyone plenty of time to plan (Over a year away!)
  5. MSFS 1. Actually, I've been looking at airplanes since I was about 3 (or so my folks tell me). Ever since I was a little kid I wanted to fly, and at 16 I soloed, 17 got my license, and been stuck with flying since. I should mention I'll be 33 in August.
  6. Actually it isn't technically. It's a lifting body/glider
  7. Only things I can see are the lineup and AoA. As soon as you get on final (if doing a long one) get yourself setup with gear/flaps so you don't have to worry about it later. From there it'll come.
  8. My understanding is that the Ka-50 will not be part of this patch, but will be included in a separate patch that they are working on.
  9. I'd like to see anything with power and multirole, but I think the 8 ball says all.
  10. Question: will the next aircraft in the DCS series be USAF? Question:will the next aircraft in the DCS series be a Strike Eagle? - Answer "Yes" (Avilator, you need to ask yes or no type questions, not one to give you a detailed answer) EDIT: Every question I pose that deals with the hornet, I get a maybe or ask again later... - Will the next aircraft in the DCS series be Navy? - Will the next aircraft in the DCS series be a Hornet? - Will the next aircraft in the DCS series be Carrier Based?
  11. DCS: Samson or Scorpion From the movie Avatar, the Samson looked really awesome. Like an MH-60 glass nose with a V-tail, and the 2 ducted rotating fans for the rotors. The AT-99 “Scorpion” Gunship is the attack version:
  12. Well, that's why I asked. I figured the warranty would be voided by doing so, but... It seems to me that the older cougar style mini-stick was much nicer than the warthog super-mini-trackball thingy. :music_whistling: Of course, I don't have a Warthog, which is why I'm asking all this.
  13. Duty Calls!
  14. yeah I figured that. I was thinking since the ministick on the cougar has a great feel to it in that it moves, that it would be better in the warthog.
  15. Speaking of the mini-stick, would it be possible to take the one out of the cougar throttle to replace the one on the warthog for better usage?
  16. Any purchases made are now with the updated checklists. Still waiting on the Emergency ones though.
  17. They had the Satview in Lomac, so why can't they edit it and add it in? +1 for getting the Satview.
  18. Dude, since you bought 100 of those, you should make and sell landing light switches, lol...
  19. Well, all is good. I got it installed. I figured out through the process that the system wasn't recognising the joystick, but knew something was there... so I re-opened it up, looked over the wires, and inside the center post, I found that the red wire was crimped a little. After splicing it, resetting it, putting the stick back together and replugging it in, the software recognised the joystick and installed everything. What a pain! Now I just need to replace my pots and get the holders to hold them right, and I should be good to go. Cali, if you're still having problems, take the stick off the base, and you'll see a little connector with 2 screws. Take off the screws, lift out the connector and check the wires. That might have been your issue.
  20. Well, the thing is though that it was working fine. All I did was replace the gimbals and center post. I left everything else alone, so it should work.
  21. I still don't get why during the install of the drivers, it hangs at "connect your device to the USB" when I did that...
  22. anything I can do about it without putting xp on and just installing direct into win7?
  23. yep, I did all that, but it doesn't go past "connect Cougar to USB port". I can see it in the background in my device manager as "unknown device"...
  24. I need help. I replaced some parts in my cougar yesterday, and when I plugged it in today the PC says "Unknown Device". I tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers, but it hangs at "connect the cougar to a USB port, or if already connect, disconnect and reconnect the device". I can't get it to install the drivers. I've been trying everything. I can get into the cougar software by moving the DLL file into the right place in C:\Windows but the cougar software says no device connected. I also tried to flash it, but didn't see any notification of that being done... I'm on Win7 64-bit. Can anyone help?
