  1. We should probably start continue the wishing for a Squadron style building game in the wishing area... Back on Topic: I personally choose my loadout for the mission at hand. There are plenty of times though that I keep my loadout low (ok, back to the wish topic) incase someday someone finds a way to make it where we have to pay for the weapons... which would totally be awesome! There might be a way if ED can make the score tracker for MP flights.

    UFC KIT

Hey Flim, Long time. If you and Gadroc build a PCB for the UFC, would you offer just that all setup with even LEDs for sale, that people can buy to fit into their own UFC? Not sure I'd buy, (depends on wife) but it would be a good way to get people going that don't want to buy the whole thing.
  3. Sorry to continue this off topic subject, but wouldn't it be cool if you could "manage" a squadron (even with other client players) and start out with only guns? The more you kill, the more money you make, the more items you can buy... but don't forget maintenance and fuel... plus researching the weapons, TGP, ECM, Pave Penny...
  4. Sweet! Intrepid. First time I went on that girl was back in the 80s. Loved flying over her in the 90s, and miss her in the 00's...
  5. I've been flying a mission with my squad, our server is up, but it's the wrong mission and everyone's asleep to send me the right one. Is there a way I can go back through my tracks to grab the mission and put it up on the server?
  6. Well, being a guy that only flies stateside, I, for some reason, always thought the QNH call was for the millibars... but even still, instead of QNH it should be "Altimeter".
  7. Well, the whole QFE or QNH call, or am I missing something? I don't think I've ever heard them call "Altimeter......" which is what the real US Military ATC would say in their calls.
  8. Not to bring up that "which way is better" arguement... which I'm not, however, since the A-10C is a USAF jet, and the altimeter setting is in inches, shouldn't ATC call "Altimeter 29.92" like they would real world? Before anyone says it, I do understand that this is made for everyone... but since there isn't a millibars window, it should be announce in inches and not QFE or QNH... right?
  9. Any chance this will work with the Android 1.5? I can't update my phone to the newer Android OS. (Samsung Galaxy i1700 or something like that). The phone is only like 6 months old or so, and they never said anything about the OS not being upgradable.
  10. This looks great for those that have ipads and don't want to get separate monitors. I'd probably only use it for the CDU, unless I can figure out which monitor to get and export the CDU to it.
  11. Hey Gents (and any ladies lurking in the background), I'm not really up to speed on my cockpit, but my design phase is getting there. Does anyone know where I can get plug and play instruments (Airspeed, VVI, Alt...) or know if buying from like simkits.com and changing the faceplate would work within the warthog? I know the Altimeter would be tough, but I've seen someone on viperpits make one... only thing is, they don't respond to my requests for information. Also... my main reason for this topic, if I were to get a couple 5" tft-lcd displays even if they only have the yellow video in port (my PC has the video jacks), can I use them as separate monitors for putting the HSI or ADI from Helios on them... and if I were to get a small 3.5" monitor for the RWR, would that even be possible? I know helios is an awesome program, but I want to build my front panel to look as real as possible, without it all coming from a monitor. I have absolutely no clue how to build instruments or aircores or... I do have an idea on making an eHSI with a bezel and knobs, but pulling the data from the Warthog and placing it on the 5" monitor... no clue.
  12. That sounds really good... like I'm wearing the HGU-55 even.
  13. I'd say it's a DCS issue. We've noticed the same thing flying multiplayer, where the server host can see all targets, but the clients can't. When the host kills a target nobody else sees, on the server side he gets credit for it... on the client side nothing changes.
  14. I think it'd be great if they came out with an Apache/Blackhawk package.... maybe even make some triggers that when the Blackhawk lands near a group of guys, they run over and get in to go off to the next spot. They won't get out unless you land at the right coordinates.
  15. How'd you get it to work? I'd be fine with the graphical bugs for now if just to fly around in a different area.
  16. Just got back from vacation. Those that sent me a PM for the checklists and other stuff, I'll start working on it over the weekend. If anyone else wants anything printed and laminated (sorry, not doing the whole manual) let me know and I'll send a price quote. The more orders I get stateside, the cheaper shipping will be.
  17. I'm off on vacation at the moment, but will be back home this weekend. I'm selling Paulrkiii's checklist laminated with a ring as seen in my photos a page back. If you would like your own patch on the front covers, send me the image. I'm selling them at $13 (10€) before shipping. Shipping will be calculated on the number of orders per location i get... (ie: US, EU). If you are interested, send me an email with your info and put "Checklist purchase" as the subject. I can also translate into German if anyone wants. Again, I am not home until this weekend. Any orders i get will be sent out shortly after depending on if my rings arrive in time. j.mcpeek09@googlemail.com
  18. Just laminated my set. Added the patch of my squadron though. Paulrkiii, if it's alright with you, I'd be willing to make up a bunch of the checklists, laminate them and pass them around. For a small fee to cover supplies and shipping.... for people without the time or will to make them.
  19. I could be completely wrong here, but that looks like a guard, seeing as how the side panel and ejection seat are out. They might have put that on there for maintenance, but Paulrkiii and a few others that work on the Warthog would be better to answer this one.
  20. Ha, no, I didn't even know there was one! And here I thought I was putting a disclaimer on my post so nobody begged to wonder how I got the texture files before them... I'll just go hide in my painting corner now... At least now I should be able to finish my skull scheme for the 76th. If you want in on it Paulrkiii, let me know and I'll send it to you when I'm done.
  21. I definitely like the rearm part. I'm not one for editing other's missions except to add in the skins for my squad. Aside from that, I like the element of surprise.
  22. We had a bunch of pilots, but they all left to start a new squadron... so right now we have about 7 full time pilots. It'll make it easy to do the numbers for them, and since I have the .psd file with layers, it'll be easy to just change the info. (side note for all who read this, the psd file with layers that I have is the main file, and any layers I've since added. This is not a repaint file from ED... although I would love to have one!)
  23. Can someone put up a video with using the VAC in the A-10? I'm starting to get curious. ;)
  24. It'd be great if, like in the one mission where the crew chief starts running onto the ramp, you could have a guy that comes over to the jet to close the doors. Even if you don't see him physically doing it, just him moving from spot to spot to do it would be great eye candy from in the cockpit.
  25. That would make it much easier, and I see your point. I was doing a standard number as the first, then the bort numbers in the ME after. The way I mentioned above would work for anyone painting their own to have the 3 digits on their jet automatically.
