I don't have FC2, but you're saying that someone that only has BS can set aircraft as client even though they don't have FC2? I'm guessing it will be that way for the BS/A-10C patch as well (plus the addition of the A-10C in BS).

Well, I haven't read through the last 167 pages, and I'd hate to bring up this old thought again, but it really would be great that whichever aircraft DCS:Fighter is, that they can make a 2 seat version. I would gladly sit in the backseat as a WSO or RIO, or even as a flight instructor. Also, I have quite a few friends that fly the A-10C, that would never fly a fighter... but they have mentioned that if it were a 2 seat, they'd enjoy sitting in the back working the systems and radars. I think it would be great also with TARS. Sure, flying in MP you have wingmen, but it would be great to sometimes have someone in the cockpit with you to keep an eye on things while you need to do something else real quick. If they could make a single seat and a tandem seat version of whichever they make, that would be awesome. (F-15C/D/E?, F-16C/D, F-18C/D or E/F)

Can I ask something to make sure I understand correctly... if FC3 should come out? Obviously the server host would have to have all 3 sims (FC3, BS, A-10C) in order to allow pilots from all 3 to be able to fly plus have the aircraft set for Client. Question is, will there be servers, or can we keep it limited to a DCS server by only adding in the client aircraft for BS and A-10C (and DCS:Fighter 2 seater... wishful thinking, hehe)?

There are only 10 or so keys that use the actual key (ie: M=Master Mode, G=Gear, Space=gun). What I did was change those to LCTL+key, and update my stick's profile. I do have a button on my stick (cougar) for gear, so raising it isn't a problem. This makes it so I can type as fast as my fat fingers can on the CDU without the need to hold down a button on the stick.

There's already a "Nuke" in the sim. Do a search for "Nuke Explosion" by me.

Unless you're flying online and sending messages to your wingman during EMCON flights (we do it now and then). It's also good to just send coordinates if someone fails to write them down, and they aren't carrying a TGP. Other times we just use it to chat when the Freq is busy (TARS).

Awesome work! Conrad Electronics you say? And the whole thing came out to under 100€ with having to buy the throttle? I already have the cougar throttle (the stick is getting some new parts to get rid of the centerplay). If I can do this for pretty cheap, my wife might just let me. Of course getting the warthog with all the base switches is cool, I'm sure I can convince her to let me spend 50-100€ rather than the 300€ for the warthog. (I'm in Berlin, btw, and there's a conrad right down the street.)

With the patch, will it update airbases in BS to make them look like they do in A-10C? IE: Batumi actually looks horrible in BS, but looks busy in A-10... or am I missing something?

Ok, so, I've been flying the warthog lately, and with the news of the patch coming to combine A-10C and BS, I thought I'd dust off my BS. I got it working (Thanks ED for getting my profile to work!) and now I have a question. With the upcoming patch, which BS version should I be on? I guess I need to at least patch to something (just re-downloaded)... so should I be at 1.0.1c or 1.0.2 (FC2 compatibility patch)? If I patch to the FC2 one, and with the upcoming patch for A-10C, will that mean that someone flying in FC2 that can fly with someone in BS, can also fly with someone then in A-10C, or will the new patch be only for A-10C and BS? I'll hold of on updating until I hear back since I'm on a fresh install.

Hey Ethereal, Yeah, I've checked every area possible on the main site. I can sort of understand for BS, but that even A-10C isn't showing anything is weird. I definitely have the email with my purchase for that. I was just hoping my info would still be in the system for BS.

Just tried it, and although I can log in at lockon.co.uk using the same, when I log in here with my hog_driver111th (without 1) it accepts it.. with the 1 it says login invalid.

I had purchased Blackshark around the time it came out in English, and have been naturaly flying the warthog. The issue is, I wanted to reinstall BS as I had uninstalled it long ago from an older PC, but there's no information here on the site that I ever bought it... Even for A-10C. I clicked on "Payments" on the main site after logging in and there's just nothing. I do still have the email for the purchase of A-10C (back when it was in Beta 1). For BS though, that was long before I had moved, I have a new PC, and no idea which address I used during the purchase. How can I get my serial number without having to repurchase BS? I'm wanting to have both for when the 1.0.0.9 patch comes out to connect the two. Any help would be appreciated! Hog

Interesting. Thanks for the info guys. We'll check the mission and see if something like that is included. We've flown this mission close to 100 times and never had it happen... maybe his plane hit a power plant or a terrorist house. lol

you mean so if someone crashes in that area it sets off the explosion like that? I'm pretty sure one of us has been shot down in that area of the mission before and didn't see anything like that.

It's not the pilots jet, it's our jet (CC's that is). The USAF might have owned my F-16, but as the crew chief it was mine. Sure, the pilot has his name up higher and "borrowed" it, but he always had to sign it out, and sign it back in to me. I took care of her, and if he did anything wrong with her, I took it out on him. As for in the sim though, sure, add in a CC for us to pummel now and then.

I would love to get this actually, but wife says no. Just a question (for the future), the USB adapter... when wearing the mask, if I understand correctly, you can talk as if wearing a regular headset, but what about breathing? I remember wearing the HGU-55 during my high altitude training and with the mask on but no oxygen supplied, the connector wouldn't work. Is there a way to make the mask work without buying and constantly refilling an oxygen bottle?

So, I was flying with a couple guys in my squad, and someone else that flies with us got shot down... no big deal, but when his plane hit the ground there was a dark cloud that filled the sky. I didn't get a picture of the explosion, but I do have a couple from the aftermath. This is northeast of Senaki. Any ideas what it could have been from? Everyone else in the server could see the aftermath too.

Too bad there wasn't a way to put in a blackhawk (or other helo), set a trigger for each client aircraft that when shot down, it'll fly to it, once someone else in the mission (if MP) uses the F10 to allow them inbound.
