There is a mission someone made that uses actual recordings of troops calling for air support.

I just put the Santa tracker app on my iPad... Merry Christmas everyone.

I feel the same. Got hit by something last weekend and been in bed all week. I've got a question concerning the pit. I don't have a CNC, so my cuts will be by hand. What're the differences (minus the outer walls) between your pit and dimebugs dimensions? I'm really wanting to cut realistic the first time.

The E/F really would be great. I have a few friends that are smart, but can't fly and fight and the same time. Flying the Warthog is tough for them. We fly together everyday, along with a few others, and having the F model, where he could be my RIO, would be perfect. If the others want to fly alone they have the E to choose. The other great thing would be flight training for new people in the squad. Switching aircraft would be easy between single and dual. No need to switch sims like BS and A-10C, just hit the aircraft select screen and change.

Thanks Gadroc. I'm planning on doing most of the stuff through Helios anyway.

I'm allowed to order some switches for Xmas (only a certain amount) and thought I would order one of these for the landing gear switch. Question is, will 1 be ok or do I need two. I was thinking that by wiring it into the Leo Bodnar card that I could get away with it like an On/Off switch. As I put the handle up (toggle press) it puts the gear up, and as I put the handle down (toggle off) it would send the gear down. Am I correct in that thinking or do I need two of these, one for each command?

Haha, I sang the warthog song to my wife and even she laughed.

Leafer, the only reason is because the next jet IS a US Fixed Wing... therefore, why should the poll include European or Eastern jets? When the time comes for the ED to make a EU or Eastern block jet, then I highly doubt any US jets would be on the poll as it wouldn't make any sense.

As for refueling, I wish the boom could create dents and possible broken glass. I had seen an A-10 at Quonset ANG base, Rhode Island (2009). The bird had just returned from overseas the day before and the front glass was stíll busted. The pilot said the boomer was having a rough day... first by putting all the dents in the nose, then came down onto the front windshield cracking it real bad. I have pictures somewhere, but I'd have to search. It would be great if that were modeled. Especially the dents as it looks like every A-10 has dents on the nose.

I know, but this is a wish list, right? Hehe. Having the G to do SAM suppression and EW would be fun. Maybe ED could do something if they do make the F model to give it a secondary roll. I really hope it's the F since a very good friend of mine used to work on them (he's right now with the Blue Angels).

Japan to buy the F-35 Japan orders F-35 instead of F-18 Super Hornet and Eurofighter. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-12-20/lockheed-martin-wins-japan-jet-fighter-contract-over-boeing-eurofighter.html

What about the F/A-18F, or better yet the G version.

Why is it that the dumbasses always have to stand on the downed aircraft? This F-15, the F-117, UH-60 (as seen in the movie Black Hawk Down)... I'm sure there are others.

I have a military buddy not too far from me that has an APO.. Think I could get stuff shipped to him and have him send them to me without busting customs?

UHF Radio, incase someone wants the real deal like in the jet. Caution, not cheap! hehe http://www.ebay.com/itm/MILITARY-AIRCRAFT-RADIO-RT-1610-URC-126-MAGNAVOX-UHF-/270751484363?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f0a0bc9cb

Nice listings DM. I just wish I were still stateside. Customs here in Germany are hell!
-
I forgot all about his book having the control board. Thanks DM.
-
Ah ok. I was hoping I could use all the backlight LEDs from each (minus the caution panel) into each port to save money.
-
Tulsa, I just got Pit's UFC, and before I start anything, what gauge wire are you using? Also, is it possible to link all backlighting LEDs to only use one spot on the Phidgets? I might be able to afford one sometime soon, but probably only one for the cockpit (since they cost so much) or maybe a second for the caution panel.

Trimming real world is done until the controls feel comfortable. Even still, as you burn fuel, you'll have to retrim some. I remember back when I had my piper arrow. Even though I had an autopilot (which I only used on long flights) I was constantly on the trim.
-
Wish we could do that, eject, shoot someone, the get back in the jet.

Gadroc, Any chance of letting us know where you got those toggle switches with the red/orange middle?

VAC Friendly Radio Mod
hog_driver111th replied to AJ.eightFive's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Can I get some help from one of you guys (preferably someone that speaks better German than I do)? I just installed VAC from the website, however, on opening the program (either the VACBuilder or VACSystem) I get an error. From my understanding, the file OneWayX.ocx isn't registered or working. I'm not really quite sure why since I just installed the software. Any ideas? (Win7 64bit German edition) Edit: I just switched to English (using Vistalizator) to see if it was because my windows was in German, but that hasn't fixed the problem. Edit 2: Thought I would add, I figured out the issue. Stupid me I forgot to run as Admin. It works now. I'd delete my post, but incase anyone else has the issue, it's here. -
Yesterday I was up at 32k. Flew around first at 28k, dropped a pair of GBU-31s, and 4 GBU-38s, (close to full fuel), on the way back to base - around 60 miles, I went up to 32k. The whole round trip I went from full tanks, to around 7000 pounds left by the time I got back to base.
