The only issue I can possible see with having a 2-seater is flying multiplayer... and I'll explain. In SP mode, you have an idiot AI which will act pretty much like a glorified N00b in the gunner seat, just like in MP until most of us learn how to use the gunner seat. The issue I see on MP though, is if you're flying with an AI gunner, and someone hops in and wants to join your helo, do you have to fly back to base to pick him/her up or will the new client be able to hop into your helo while in flight, systems all set and ready to go? Aside from that, I think having the 2-seater will be awesome. Something great too would be if ED could figure out how to pick other players up (if they do a MH-60) so if a hog pilot ejects and survives, the helo could fly over, pick him up, fly back to base and let the hog pilot get a new jet.

Looks great Dimebug. I'm actually in the process of doing my front panel. Are they measurements actual, or... I'll be buying the wood tomorrow to do my cuts. -
Android Tab 10.1 pit?
hog_driver111th replied to hog_driver111th's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Anyone? We're going out shopping in a little while and will be looking at the two. If there's a pit for the Android, I'll get the Galaxy Tab. If not... well, I either get the tab and wait or get the ipad now. -

yeah, I definitely need a man-cave. With the work everyone's doing in here building pits, I'm starting on a few things that might convince her I need space! lol -
Does anyone know if anyone has made an android version of the ipad-pit or icontrol dcs, but for the Android Tab 10.1? My Bday is in 2 days, and my wife (although I was sure we were getting an ipad for my bday so I could use a CDU) recently discovered the Tab 10.1 from her brother. It's a little larger, and can do "more" things (flash, usb inputs...) than the ipad. I really like the ipad, but part of my choosing the ipad was due to the cockpit. So, anyone know if there is one available and can tell me by tomorrow everyone's time?

Or planning on selling them? I don't have the warthog, an ejection seat, or enough room to fit a cockpit in my apartment (wife's rules, not mine... I'd use the whole living room if she'd let me)... but I'd probably buy one for the day I can add it to my pit. -

um... which picture? :music_whistling: -
It would also be cool if the smoke lasted a little longer. In most videos (although I would assume it depends on air density and moisture), you can see an actual smoke line as if it was a smoke pod.

How are the tests with the grip extension? Would this actually sit on the floor if using an ejection seat? -
Firebirds was a movie I loved to watch so much growing up, that my dad totally got sick of it... course I was only 12 when it came out in 1990. 21 years and I can still remember every bit about that movie. "Shoot'em, Blast'em, Nab'em, Grab’em, Shake'em, Bake'em, Cook'em, Clean'em, Hose'em, Broil'em, Kick'em, Nab'em, Twist'em, Fry'em, ALL GONE BYE BYE!" hehe Ok, back on topic of seriously wanting an Apache, just so I can do that scene.

Actually, looking at this image, it looks like the center area (EW, ADI, HSI) are at the same height as the sides (RWR, IAS, VVI, ALT) in the picture below. This brings up another question, does the top of the "eyebrows" and main panel line up, or are the eyebrows resting above? By the looks of the image below, the way the fire pull handles are, that whole area sits well above where the top of the main panel actually sits. (just wanting to make sure I'm drawing this out correctly before I make my cuts, so sorry if I'm getting annoying. :smilewink:) -
I definitely would buy a full set!

Can one of you guys post the depth dimensions of the main panel? y2kiah, I'm also using your older file (will update with the new dims), but in printing it out even at 100%, I can't really get a good feel for the depth, especially the center area that holds the ADI, HSI, and the side extensions for the ALT, IAS... My other question is in regards to the top. I'm only taking a guess here, but shouldn't the top of the main panel be flat all the way across, or should we follow the image and create the 2 "steps" (area just under the fire pull handles). -
Head Mounted Display for A-10c [Request]

Paul, is there a major difference between Suite 3 and 7, and do you think DCS would be upgraded to be close to the real world Suite? -
 I still think that for the US Fixed wing, it could also be the O-2 Birddog, best seen in the movie Bat21. Now THAT was a true AFAC, and fun to fly (I've actually flown one, and a civ C-337 a few times)
-
yeah she has... god I remember the days we flew together every night! My wife doesn't mind if I fly when she's not home. I've done it a few times while she was here, but all she did was ask questions about this, that, and the other thing to where I couldn't communicate with the rest of the flight. That's where I'm glad you can text message someone inside the A-10 by using net IDs, hehe.

Pit, can't you undo the wires from the phidget board and cut them to a better length, or are they soldered in on both sides?

Which screens did you use for the MFCDs and the chaff/flare panel?

Dude that's awesome! I really can't wait to get the full set of panels.

Dear ED, what about tinted glass cockpits?
hog_driver111th replied to toby23's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Downloading it now, but one thing that would be interesting is if they had a randomizer for when you get repaired... you "could" end up with this, or only one side tinted, depending on what needed to be fixed after battle. -
Realistic repairs option for future versions?
hog_driver111th replied to TulsA-10's topic in DCS Wishlist
It would be great if a dialog or new window popped up showing you the damage sustained. You could then choose what should be fixed with an associated time next to it. This way if you have only a flat tire, instead of a totally busted plane, it would be shorter in time (I know, not real world) and gets you more involved instead of just shutting off the engine. It could add the mechanics side to the sim where you learn more about the systems involved, persay. -
We do formation takeoffs daily even fully loaded (at the 76th). Formation landings are fairly easy too, since we're usually empty and low on gas by that point... at least with the mission we run.

Cowboy, I sent you a PM regarding the checklists.
