  1. @Kortanafor me the HMDMask.fx didn't break integrity check.
  2. Diferent view. I am not pleased. It affect the OBS recording, and that is the reason I look for how to remove it. Of course I am glad they develope it, but they should include an option to activate/deactivate it if the user want to.
  3. Waiting for this one!! with new tools given, I think we can have great FX here.
  4. Maybe this may help you? Dover defences - Missions and Campaigns - ED Forums (eagle.ru)

    mirror in VR

I have a head in the mirror where 100 planes could land on!!! XDDD jokes appart, it seems too horizontal deformed compared with the F18 one. Does anyone have same issue?
  6. It may be ok for you. Right now I feel confortable with google nothing produces me nausea, but at the begining that is one of the things that produces more nausea. Your head is moving to one direction and your view goes the opossite. I remember having bad experience in IL2 with that, and I always remove it. I am ok if ED adds head limit, but PLEASE!!! add the option also to deactivate it and don't force in servers. What I usually do is, because I can clearly see where the glass it is in VR, I just don't cross it.
  7. no.. all is fine as it is... then if you don't see it, you have a bug.
  8. ckeckout if you have the file: HMDMask.fx in the bazar/shader folder. If you don't see it in the MIRROR in the monitor, then you have a problem, as it should give you better performance (unless you want to remove as me, because recording)
  9. Suppose it is a bug or a missing feature still to be implemented. It is not sense to leave because performance the clouds all equal in all quality rendering options. If the ultra clouds goes bad in performance, we could choose to jump to lower cloud settings, and that would be nice to be done on hot while flying as I can do in MSFS.
  10. Mask won't come on menus... only when flying.
  11. Also would be nice to fix the distortion in the render to DCS resolution option. That way I can use my 1920x1080 resolution instead of changing to 3840x2160 one to capture the full pixel density in the area it is given to us in the correct aspect ratio default mirror view.
  12. appart, when we have same pixel colors and not contrass, it is more difficult to see the HUD information if the clouds are too white. If we see more details we will see shadows portions in the clouds and that will make the hud more readable (and of course the clouds more beautyful). In MSFS I have ultra clouds and are a delicius view in VR.
  13. More or less is the same. Maybe I have 2 or 3 fps less, but I need that mask off to record in OBS. Mostly the sensation is the same as before, but with better clouds.
  14. same. Even it is difficult to read the HUD with such all white carpet.
  15. I had this issue before long ago. I enter any multiplayer server, and it takes 2-5 minutes to render the cockpit of the plane I am flying. Long ago, I had this issue and the fps where 1-3 fps while loading the cockpit. Now FPS are good, but still have that problem of lag loading. This not only happens to me. I found another person with same issue. Not all have this problem. I was using VR.
  16. Great! I removed the mask!! :))) You have to edit the HMDMask.fx that is in the bazar/shader folder and modify the line: float4 vsOctagonMask(in float2 pos:POSITION0): SV_POSITION0 { return float4(pos, 1, 1); } to float4 vsOctagonMask(in float2 pos:POSITION0): SV_POSITION0 { return float4(pos, 0.1, 0.1); } and save. it seems to pass IC (has to make more testings here)
  17. Great! 18. I have found this shader: \DCS World\Bazar\shaders\HMDMask.fx I cannot remove it as it is needed to be loaded and I am trying to understand it but I am not programmer so I cannot deactivate it. Maybe someone find the way to switch if off. Other thing is if it could pass the IC multiplayer.
  19. Hello! It is good to have new options in mirror to record VR in OBS, but they are now useless and in 2.5 they were better. The new Use DCS system resolution option deforms horizontally the image. Even appear the new mask. That option is useless for OBS Recording. Please give us an option to remove the mask in VR config options, and also fix the deformation in the "use DCS system resolution" option if possible. Thanks!
  20. I didn't do anything. It just appears.. and I didn't install any shader. You have to be inside a flight. The menus don't show any mask.
  21. To let you understand the problem, here is the new capture area in OBS. Much less, when already the Windows Reality Portal users (Reverb G2) has problems with pixel density in mirror, as we do not have the great oculus mirror (our WRP mirror is poor with stutters, and steam mirror gives 1/2 of performance you have in the goggles.
  22. This one. The problem is that I need those black pixels to be rendered propertly in OBS. With that mask I have to move the capture area more to a side, so in recordings/streamings appears all in a full side and less pixel density. I also am trying to find where to remove the mask. There are new options in the VR area, but none of them fix the issue (feature). Even we could use the new render mirror in DCS resolution, but it deforms the image.
  23. there is a crop to rectangle in VR options that don't do anything, and a render mirror VR with default DCS resolution, that renders the VR Mirror with the full resolution of the monitor, but the problem is that it deformates the image horizontally. I hope there is a way to remove the mask, or fix the deformation issue if render full window.

  25. I have seen that in VR there is a black mask now I suppose to increase performance. The problem is that I am capturing with OBS the mirror and now a good part of the capture area is with that mask. Considering that the pixel density in the mirror is not good enough for OBS, is there a way to remove that FX mask in the mirror? Thanks! https://gyazo.com/f75cc1ff91f2a3365681e7b54ecd4a09
