  1. Hello I am having an issue. With Jester it turns into Lantirn when I choose A/G (and is equiped) but fast it changes automatically into TCS. There are some aircrafts in the vecinity so I don't know that is the reason because he is more active on airborned targets than the ground. No way of choosing the lantirn even in menus is selected and cycled to be choosen again.
  2. Yesterday I was having same issue (I never used before). It seems that is related to the trim position. Clicking it several times until I found the right place the NWS activated it. Odd as I had it also trimmed as you. I suppose the "trim neutral position" is reset the trim to cero? even the plane is not trimmed?

We could ask @Hollywood_315to share with us the beta of the AIRIO before the release comes, because as said by @Manhorneit is going to be a long one to come as it won't until the release of the Apache is produced and more or less stable. We always can go back if something fails... and I think is better to catch those possible bugs that it may have. Also hope that the lost features (tune tacan and datalink), plus the new ICEMAN commands (which I think they are more important than the ones he has now, to play as a RIO in single player) will be introduced. Of course if there is a way to introduce the default Jester Wheel, then it will be a great addition to solve problems thay may occur in the future.
  4. ohhh if the original wheel works with AIRIO, then I will keep a close look to this post!! hope there is a way to make it work with the cockpit visual.
  5. For me the wheel appears if I say "Jester" (wait a second) "options" (I have translated into spanish all the Vaicom profile but it works. Then the wheel appears without icons but with text labels and can be selected with "take xx" or a LControl+number. but the no-go for me is that the full cockpit disappears when the wheel is on.
  6. Same problem and never used the import F10 manu. Even re-importing the default command list, it doesn't work. Works as said the radio tunning, but not the datalink nor the tacan one.
  7. I have seen that the INS is degraded, so if we are in multiplayer alone we cannot fix the INS somehow? Thanks!
  8. I was asking myself... how does the F14 works with INS degradation when we are flying the F14 only from the cockpit? Does Jester always keep the INS perfectly aligned? I don't find any option to realign made by Jester.
  9. I think (correct me if I am wrong) that the Iceman "fly to this steerpoint" or "orbit this steerpoint" with an radius of blablabla turning left or right is missing. And that was implemented several time ago from Heatblur.
  10. Maybe I am wrong, but wasn't the RWR a very delicate instrument that don't like shakes too much? So it is recommended have it switch off during takeoffs and landings? it would be interesting to add then the feacture to switch it off and of course produce a failure if the takeoff or landing is too rough maybe?   12. The "Jester Option" is a no for me. Remove all the cockpit while choosing between the round jester menu is totally out of the inmersion out of my feeling of what DCS gives me. If at least the cockpit would be visible.... Really hopes that @Hollywood_315 include the new lines... but I don't remember (I maybe wrong) that he included the new Iceman commands by voice.... so I am a bit worried about it.

I saw the new carrier in the Jabbers new Lantirn mission for the upcoming patch: I feel a bit disappointed, that it doesn't include the crew to help you with the catapult, but maybe is not Heatblur fault because ED don't allow them to use the SDK to incude the crew, to not harm sellings of the supercarrier. Would be nice if ED would allow the inclusion of those supercarrier features, BUT ONLY be able to use it by the people that have bought the supercarrier, so someone that didn't buy it, would see the Forrestal as it is in Jabbers video, but those that own the Supercarrier DLC would see the functions of it on the Forrestal. I suppose only a little of programming from ED is just what is needed. Finger crossed.

  16. I can tell you how I did it in my case with the Reverb G2. 1. If you use nvidia broadcast to show your webcam as it removes the background, better to use a true green screen or just the webcam without Nvidia Broadcast. It can take your 15% or so of your GPU, and DCS is already at 96% without it. So it can produce stutters. 2. I have duplicated my screen resolution, so ifI have 1920x1080 I make a new resolution: 3840x2160 with Nvidia control panel and when I want to run VR and record it I change to that resolution. That way the VR mirror of DCS will fill more pixel density in the new resolution and you will be able to capture with OBS as it where 1080p screened. If you try the WMR mirror you will have full pixel ratio but stutters. With SteamVR mirror you will have the half of the fps you have (45/2 = 22.5) 3. I record at 30fps it is too hard to record 60fps for the computer so better leave it with more resources. And I record x264h. Not Nvidia codec as said in point1. 4. to remove the VR mask in the mirror I use this: Remove VR Black Mask (digitalcombatsimulator.com)

  18. I am becoming crazy! I want to identify a contact in the radar. that is in RWS. Have boxed NCTR, and of course I have IFF on (XP) 4. Also I have an awacs and D/L enabled. I press SCS depress over the contact in the radar once is sensor of interest and nothing. No change. If I make an STT then no problem. What am I doing wrong?
  19. For comparing sizes I preffer this link: Flight simulators map areas - Google My Maps Syria needs to add the Cyprus island, but the good thing about that link is that you can compare with other simulators.

  21. Normandy map is also bigger than the channel one. but the channel is one of the most detailed visually maps in DCS. Also the area they cover is different. The channel in the closet area of the straight between France and UK which produces less travel over water to fight, and the Normandy map is more to the south. I think is a waste of energy to make very similar positions for 2 maps... and now with IL2 GB comming to Normandy is another one, plus the Cliffs of Dover one (still I think, the best of all by extension and very nice still with graphics), is too much for me.
  22. I am sorry to hear people "don't waste time and money with this feature as it is not necesary". Of course it is not necesary to them, but it would add some interesting playability. Of course I think we are not talking about making here an ARMA3 game, but I think there are some points that would be great to be improved: 1. When we bail out from our aircrafts, I would love to remove the joystick/pedals motion of the character, and introduce the WASD one with mouse as a FPS game. Also running possible. Why? because sometimes we have simulated SARs missions with my friends, and that motion controls would help a lot. I don't remember if Combined arms vehicle motion allows to be by WASD also. 2. Those bailed pilots be spoted as enemies by other infantry or armor (or helos) so can be killed. That way our "mission" to survive would be more fun. 3. Not necesary to allow those bailed pilots to use their rifles, but there are examples of non infantry simulators that do a decent job using rifles. Very simple characteristics. Nothing complex (remember that in the apache and the Kiowa there are M4 modelled): steel beasts is not the best example to manage the infantry with mouse and keyboard, but at least it have some kind of first person shoot with machineguns. And of course I want ED to pay attention mostly in the important stuff they have to do, specially the dynamic campaign, but I think all these minor changes could be done in a Combined Arms module, that has been forgotten for a long time.
  23. I think any of them that allow delay fuze. But I think is just a visual candy... as if you delay or not the bomb the result will be the same with a plane inside a bunker. I asked that to Grim Reapers that made the test, and he said that fusing or not, the result would be the same. A destroyed plane inside the bunker. Hope it would make a different result in future.
