  2. and still lots of YT videos comming of the F15E. It was a good idea if release was early June, but if it is 20 July, then I would say to all YT (if I was Razbam) to stop and come back in last 2 weeks before release. Hype train can be burned.
  3. It is easy to say today, but if somone follow my thoughts about release month in discord servers that I am, I alwasy thought of July, or August, if there is a problem with something. Why? because ED usually leave time between DLCs releases to maximize earnings, and Sinai map is comming. Yesterday somone said in Razbam Discord, that there is a surprise helicopter release from ED (the Kiowa? it would be great news!) but I don't think so. The problem is that The F15 could arrive, as said in August, and that month is bad in my opinion for sales. And Specially for VR use (hot). The best moment would have been June, but then Sinai would not sell so much in comparison once everyone would have spent their money in the F15. Phantom in November-December maybe?

  5. @BIGNEWYYes.. it happens me as well. Here is the track to let you check it out. Please. As seen when the Governor is off the RPM rises. That is OK. But when I stabilize them lowering the throttle, When I raise the collective RPMs should go down as the blades are more angle into the wind so more resistance, and with same ammount of fuel, RPM should drop.   6. I have fear that this will remain for years, as ED sometimes leave the issues for years without touching in some cases. Can we have the option in DCS extra menus to select old engine model? at least until all is solved. Of course in Multiplayer it could be forced to new model.
  7. In this update, if we turn off the governor, the RPMs go high. That is right, so we move the throttle down to maintain the green arc. Once we have those RPM stabilized. Without touching the throttle, if we raise the collective, RPMs should go down (without governor) but they rise!!! totally the opposite. Is that something is happening to you? Here there is a video in spanish of a Friend that tested today and he is very frustrated because he loves the UH1H so much, and see this wrong is bad for all of us that expect something near perfection with the time the Huey has already among us. Hope if there is a bug here, can be solved soon. Thanks!

    I would make an update with channel map airfields ONLY to those that own the channel map. That way ED ensures people would buy the Channel Map. So it would become something like the DLC of Normandy2.

  10. thanks, will do that. But the problem is that I will loose some good informations of awacs in missions, etc... Maybe another good solution to not loose that, is separate the flight, because this only happens when we have an AI leader, so he is another flight and we are other one... no need to communicate, but in the missions built for the campaign, you make them act as they are in the same flight.
  11. I cannot talk about what they do, because as you say, they know their business... BUT I can talk about selling addons (planes with more than 25 planes built) for a flight sim as I have been making for more than 10 years already successfully. So yes.. I understand a bit about the business and sometimes I have released things for free. And yes.. it is clear to me @BIGNEWY that DCS won't change his business model. But this is a wish in a wishlist. Thanks. By the way. This is not to have all the content for free for me. I own everything of DCS appart of the christian eagle, and I will continue supporting this incredible sim. The problem I see with new maps they are going to come, is that not so many are going to be playable for me in multiplayer with my friends. It toke almost 2 years from release for Syria to start playing with my friends with it.
  12. Maybe there was a misunderstood, but who said to give for free the high detail maps? I said the low detail ones as Normandy 1.5. Even I would give less detail for free in the Normandy 1.5, because there are assets with high detail in that 1.5 as mount st.Michel. How many people in percent play with the free maps compared with the payware ones. Here I can see the most played buyed map (Syria) is played by 2,857/11,183 (almost 87%) how many players do play that do not have any buyed map? How many could enter and maintain DCS if Syria would have some kind of free version (low poly, low textures)? I know many player do not play DCS because "we" play in maps they do not have buyed, and they do not have the money to buy them. Of course they do not have now, but they could later, but if they are push away from the sim now, they won't be future buyers. It is difficult to give reasons why what I am talking is right sense, if I cannot put other games examples that works. But those are the rules.
  13. the same way it is done in other civil simulators. The core game has a default low quality scenary. Then the third parties sell their addons. Seems they are good with that in those sims. ED could charge for a global world maybe, but I doubt it. The same way they gave us for free the new clouds, Marianas, or Caucasus. They sell planes or map areas. I don't see a problem at all to make good money with that method. As said, more people would come to play as there would be no break produced in the multiplayer community. An infantry game/sim made in czech republic (I think I cannot say games from other companies here), do that way, giving for free maps with blurry textures and low polys, and that allow us play with those that didn't buy those maps without breaking our community.
  14. I have to be one of those stupids. I have made mods for free just to let the users know how my work is, and then if they want something more deep I charge for it.
  15. your replay will be corrupt. BUT NOT the ones from others. I mean. If you are in a multiplayer server. Fly a mission and repeat your replay file, there is a good chance your plane will crash. If you ask another user, to give you his replay file, you will see with a good percent of possibilities that your flight was the same it was in real time. Why is this? because the rest of planes you record in your replay file are set in coordinates system. Your plane is recorded the mouse motion and what you head moves. So other player file will consider your plane as AI plane and record as it was. The best way to do it alone? create a server and connect yourself to your server. Grab the server recording at the end, not your. And you will have more or less something good to play with.
  16. I write this as a 3D game developer I am. I know what is earn money to not live below a bridge to earn. You can loose earnings from people not buying your product because it is free, and it is good enough for them as it is. But the counterpart is that more people would come and the 10% of people that would buy a map of 1million people playing in a free environment, it is bigger than the 10% of 10000 of people in a only payware system. In fact there are lots of free to play games in the market that works very well. Cacasus and Marianas are free and the developers still eat everyday (I hope).
  17. Today I saw Normandy 1.5 and they are good enough to keep people connected with the pay people. The same way in old FSX we had the full world but just a runway with taxiways plus same standard buildings for the airports and cities, they could share with the ones that had the full payware scenary addon. That way we the community could fly together. And I would start with the Normandy map. Free the 1.5 for everyone. The full details for the rest of people, and follow the steps to the rest of maps. If not as good as Normandy 1.5, just as Normandy 1.0 was for the free versions of Syria, Sinai, Persian Gulf, etc...
  18. Hello! Yesterday I played mission 3 with my friend and CPG and I had to repeat it to make it good. Appart of having the same problem with the companion helicopter that flies away (the second time was good), we had this problem. Arriving at the building where the humvee is, we are told to go to the northeast looking to the roads in the north shoreline. So we went flying over the coast. When arriving at the water sea entrance that there is no bridge the CPG actor says that he is seeing 3 humvees. The problem is that my friend in a city looking everywhere, didn't see anything both times, and we had finally to go to the map to see the 3 red marks running to the northeast. Here I see some design problems: 1. In point C it was said to us that the humvees were coming to the building, so we were expecting that the humvees were going to come to us. Not that the humvees were running away from us. so for that reason we were more cautious and slow. 2. George AI has a sharp eye, but a human eye in a city environment is maybe not good, especially >50 years old people (LoL)... so I recommend the next time to give clear indications where they are, as we were scanning several parallel roads to the shoreline. I would have used some smoke to simulate a crash that produced one of the runaway humvees to other cars, so that way we can follow the highway. And of course say that they are "running away from us", not just that they are going very fast. The first time that we were playing the mission, the humvees arrived at their last point so it was said by the CPG actor that they stopped and they had SAMs with them. Looking in the map, the humvees weren't anywhere, and there was a single man igla. Of course he shot at us, because we were trying to see 3 humvees stopped, so the man was just below us, in a point difficult to see as there were no humvees with him. And finally arriving at the final coordinate point. Everything was burned from the F16. we didn't have to do anything. We were told to make RTB. But in the F10 map my friend told me that there were some humvees running to the north. We enjoy the communication, and feel inside the mission. That is nice! But it is a shame to lose connection with the mission because we don't find those targets. We are told that they are over somewhere. I suppose it would be nice to add some kind of msg aid in the future, because in game design all possibilities of players (good, and bad) have to be taken into account. It is not a matter of how good you are flying or shooting. It is a matter of carrying you well through the entire open world, the gameplay is happening. Thanks for making this campaign for both of us. We will meet in mission 4.
  19. I am using the bin_mt one. I copied the migoto folder in the bin_mt to execute there. Then also I run it with varjo Aero with foveated dynamic rendering. As said, none of this happens with 0.3 (yes the black cursor)

  21. Hello! I have to say several things about this mission and the way the campaign may follow. 1. When starting the engines and making an scort, yes.. I can start it as a scramble, but AI never waits, so to know where they are, I have to do it very fast. I think this is very unrealistic and frustrating, as I think they should wait for the player always making circles in the sky and communicating with the player if we cannot find them. Of course I found them all the moment as I stated fast, but I I hate that way of playing. 2. When arriving to the range, the point of the range in the maps is totally wrong. They appear near a city continuying the runway. I am 100% sure that I was over that place, but I had to put tacview to see where the targets are. Yes, the radio say a bearing and a distance, but it would be nice to set the same point in the maps, and maybe to see a visual smoke or something. At the end we are in a training range, and we can ask for help where it is. 3. I opened the mission and saw lots of text that was not said never. Things like "As you can see the snow is melting but the weather is nasty here at th....", "Welcome to Krasnodar! We have visual on your formation. Stay in close and we will guide your approach." and things like that, but there are not sounds about them. Maybe they are just notes that where there to be maybe used, but don't know. In any case, I wish hear more interaction with the player, and make it more easy. In reality we can call the ATC and tell them. "I am lost" or "what do I have to do now?". I know missions are scripts, but would be nice to allow all type of players feel good with the missions, as there are no save stage of them, and this situations frustrate a lot. Thanks.
  22. Sorry if I repeat this post, but I think I posted already (but don't see it in the forum) I have a problem. Each time there is an actor voice communication with my apache, it follows the DCS AI reporting the position they are. So the subtitles disappears of the actor. Is there a way to stop the AI talk after the voice acting? thanks!
  23. it doesn't matter the settings. You can remove them and just put the Cockpit+extern and it will tint all to red. At least in my computer.
  24. Hello! In last version .4 I have a problem that don't have in .3. the sharpen option Cockpit+Extern produces all tint to red. As said in .3 doesn't happen. Also I have a problem in previous aswell of black cursor. Shift+F11 don't fix it and dont' see any option in night parameters to fix it. Thanks!
  25. Hello! I have a problem with this campaign. 2 missions done, and the same. I tune the flight comms frequency and everytime there is a speech of the actor of the mission (the leader or wingman talking with our apache) inmediatelly the normal DCS AI wingman voice appears reporting where they are if I remember correctly giving possion with bullseye. The problem here is that it removes the other subtittles of the actor, so there is almost no time to read what is said by the actor. Would it be posible to deactivate the status of the DCS AI? Thanks!
