  1. Here is a video showing it and a nice landing also.:D
  2. I don't see a trim tab on mine. Are you also seeing the slight right rudder with speed?Just looked on the DCS Dora page and it does state that it had trim tabs set on ground for both rudder and ailerons. But I wonder why aren't the ailerons also moving then? And another thing is why is the elevator trim only uses 3deg when in the indicator in cockpit it shows 5deg both neg and pos.I feel that landings would be easier with some more trim on the elevator.
  3. That video shows shock absorbers actually work on the FW's.:music_whistling:
  4. I am uploading a video to show just what I mean and you beat me to it. But you went a step further as I couldn't get the plane to slow down enough to show it would center by itself and you go and put the plane into a spin!!:P But this behavior is when the rudder has a trim tab on the side of which the Dora doesn't.This tab forces the rudder sideways.I am hoping its not normal because when I fly with it centered by pressing on the rudders to center the plane is more stable and just feels ever so slightly better.
  5. Clean install fixed my missing Dora plane so I would also say thats what you need to do here.
  6. I understand that but what I have is a bug where the rudder moves slightly left and stays there.Yo-Yo posted that he noticed he would completely lose his rudder indicator on controls indicator and that he felt that his rudder was not working. Its a work in progress so I am not worried yet.
  7. Thanks, yeah I just figured that out after I posted.
  8. Wonderful skin Krupi and a big thank you from me! :)
  9. Thanks and bummer that its only in a setup mission as I like to just hit quick flight.
  10. :joystick:Krupi,I installed the skin but how do I select in game?
  11. Looks sorta purple on my end also though my LCD is not showing colors correctly. My LCD has everything looking more green than I like though I tweaked a personal sweetfx preset to cure this tendency and I use the same preset for all my games and it works a treat.Sorry, back on topic.
  12. Thanks but it didn't work.I put auto rudder on and the rudder was moving to coordinate turns etc.Turned it back off and once a certain speed is met it moves slightly right rudder.
  13. I just checked and its off.I am finding that when I press a little left rudder to eliminate any rudder offset that the plane handles even better.I wonder why its only on my game though and only on the Dora as the P51 doesn't exhibit this behavior.
  14. And another sweet looking skin! Love the camo look of tail section!
  15. WOW,amazing now that you have changed the brown nose color.Went from looking off to looking sweet!!
  16. You sure rudder trim tab is not modeled? On TO I notice my rudder pedals move slightly towards right rudder while the controls indicator shows right rudder also.
  17. Hmmmm interesting and that makes sense, thanks.:D
  18. In the other sim that we are not allowed to compare DCS to the plane side slips but as speed increase the ball stays off to the side.I asked on their forums and was told by a dev that this is how real planes work and speed does not influence the ball position at all. This seemed so silly to me as common sense is that the vertical stabilizer is a wing and that even with no rudder input it will want to straighten out as speed increases. In IL2-46 I remember a build that had it so that as speed increased the ball would slowly center and then stay there until speed decreased. Now in DCS WW1 planes the ball does move with speed but it keeps going past center and into the opposite direction with speed. Is that something that can be fixed or is that the way its supposed to work.As I said many times I am probably wrong and DCS is right.;)
  19. I found that flaps to TO gives a much more predictable landing. Its just hard to slow the Dora down unless you have landing flaps down and then if the plane turns into the wind the closer wing gets a massive lift.
  20. Am I the only one that doesn't like the cockpit G-movement.Even switched off the plane still rocks back and forth with slight roll changes and I find it removes my feel for the plane.Yes,it is very slight but it does remove a feel of plane for me slightly. We already have to deal with trackir moving the view around to which incidentally I found I can take off and land much better with trackir disabled.I have to keep my head still as best as I can while doing TO's and landings for best performance.:joystick: I think the cockpit G-movement when turned off should be zero....anyone else?
  21. I think twist stick might be easier as you can make large correction very fast since the throw is short. Care to post a video?:D I have done a few landings in 8ms crosswinds and it is not pretty.
  22. Perfectly done!:megalol: The A10c was driving me CRAZY as I thought it had so many bugs and then just kept finding out that it was all correctly modeled and just a pain in the ass plane to handle! And to show the difference in the FW190d Tail wheel unlocked first and then locked with stick back.
  23. The tail wheel lock on the P51 needs a look IMO.I dont think its functioning correctly.I am uploading two FW190d videos to show the difference that the stick back position makes in that plane, which is very large. In the P51 stick position doesn't seem to matter though and seems wrong to me.But what do I know as %99 percent of the issues I find with DCS products I am proven wrong. ;)
  24. Is the P51D tailwheel lock modeled?Rather I ask is it always on as I find its locked even with stick at neutral. It does unlock when stick is pushed forward though and taking off with tail unlocked is crazy hard.
  25. Last one.;) Its another 8ms crosswind landing that was a bitch to keep on runway due to the plane wanting to severely lift a wing and steer into the wind. Its like my 12th attempt as I had no idea what was happening at first and then I realized I needed aileron.....and then a few more attempts and I realized I also need harsh braking to keep her straight.Tons of opposite aileron and brake pedal and I was wondering if these planes are supposed to land in this type of crosswind.I remember reading that WW2 had tons of airfields being just that, fields to land in so maybe these planes didn't do severe crosswind landings? Also,if anyone knows....would less flaps be advisable in crosswind landings?I think its the reason for the excessive wing raise.Gonna try it out.
