Ahhh,if the flaps close a bit more than the bulge is more evident.That makes sense but I do not have the Dora yet so I cant check this.

krupi,that is not what I was talking about. :) Not sure what it is called but I think it houses the radiator flaps.I am talking about the engine cover that goes all the way to the propeller.The DCS rendition shows an even surface from the radiator flaps to the propeller while the other pic shows that right before the propeller the cover bulges slightly.

Then this artist chose well.How hard is it for a modder to mod DCS models....just asking.:D

Mainstay that pic has so many differences compared to the DCS Dora,not just the weapons distance.It is an artists rendition of a Dora.That said I,for some strange reason,always find the drawings of planes to look so much better.Its as if the artists adds little flares here and there and small tweaks that please the artist in me.I have two pics below that show the DCS artists rendition of the Dora compared to the artist who does those other renditions.Look at the cowling and notice all the bumps changes in thickness etc compared to the DCS model.Now which one is more true to life I have no idea.

Every weapon was red though so the DSMS page only had the TGP and jammer as green.I had the default load out loaded.

Thanks fellas.I think I have tried hitting CLEAR and TMS left short with no effect.Too tired now but will try again tomorrow and see if I can make sense of it all.Funny thing is my last mission I ran into something that makes wondering what the NOTE is all about seem trivial.I was attacking some targets and suddenly I had no weapons anymore.Outside view showed they were all still on their pylons but DMS had red circles around each store with nothing listed at all.Never seen that one before which prompted me to realize its late and I need sleep.:joystick:

What I mean is the sound when your wheels touch the ground on landing and as you roll down runway. Also,I keep getting a popup on the hud that says note.How do I open it to read it?

Anyone know of a sound mod that changes the wheel sound as they travel on the surface?Its the only sound that bothers me and I have looked everywhere on the net and nada. :(

My counter measures mode has a mind of its own and constantly changes the mode I select.A-mode is default and has no flares so I press D whenever I get in the plane but it constantly changes to all the other letters.:helpsmilie: Also,when I press the toggle switch it sometimes jumps back as I am pressing it which makes me think I have a control conflict somewhere.Anyone know what the toggle switch is under in controls?

Why not make the ground objects not get too small so that they are viewable.BOS has done this with planes where before they would dissapear onscreen unless you zoomed in all the way and now they are always a dot onscreen.

Perfect,thanks Shagrat!:thumbup: Was flying last night and I felt so connected to my Hotas.I was flying thru the SOI and SPI and locking on etc and then suddenly my brain went blank again and I just started at screen for 30 seconds.:megalol: Worth the practice as this sim is gold!

How to have camera jitter enabled all the time?

Just checked in f15c and SHIFT-J toggles jitter in cockpit.The A10c also has jitter in cockpit but is weird to turn on as you have to hit the key twice rapidly. -
What confuses me is that my mavs seem to lock on just by slewing it onto a target.When I slew near a target the cross starts flashing and I press fire and it fires.I don't recall pressing TMS up when this happens.:doh:

Thanks,Smokey.Some more studying and I have found that FC is the ability to lock on to a specific area rather than an object that uses contrast difference to lock on.With FC you can lock on to a certain window on a building for example.It doesn't track an object though so its good for stationary objects with bonus as you said of ability to launch from further away. That said I am still lost on launching them.Every time a mav fires from my plane I have no certain idea what I did to make that happen.:D

Can someone explain to me better about using the boat switch to stabilize the maverick and then having to do TMS aft short.Basically......what is force correlate and why do I have to do it if TMS aft short ground stabilizes anyway. Also I have put slew speed to 0.5 and its very jerky still and hard to fluidly place on target.Any idea why?

When they say press space bar to proceed they really mean press the fire(TRIGGER)button.You most likely have changed the keyboard fire weapon button to something other than the space bar.Just press that whenever SPACE bar is called for. -

I got you,just pointing out that I did not see the link Ricooi posted which is how I got it installed.The email sent to the customer should have this link included IMO as its hard to understand what exactly there is to do to download ED purchases onto steam acoount.

Thanks for the link,just registered FC3 into steam and its downloading.Thats not what I thought would happen though as I figured that I had to wait weeks for my serial number to show up in the DLC tab in STEAM.:music_whistling:
