Is it possible to get the sounds that this jet makes when the wind blows over the wings?I think it could really give feedback as to how hard your pulling on stick if the sound was to get louder as you pull back and then flutter when near stall.

Many souls will be crushed when people realize that they aren't cut out for carrier ops. Not being a jerk but it is sorta funny.

Wow,love the white underbelly engine cover and the machine gun covers.Look forward to this one! -
I tested IL2 zoom climbs by flying each plane at a certain speed and turning off the engine and they all zoomed the same amount.

Ahhhhh, that is why it feels great on TO and landings.:book:

Change in trackir functionality

Nice video, thanks. That japanese sight reminded me of how in IL2 it was so bright that you couldn't see thru it.:megalol: -
Change in trackir functionality
wolfstriked replied to wolfstriked's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
Sorry, disregard this whole post.I was confused by the range changing the crosshair to very small and moving all over the place. And to add to that my default cockpit view got changed so where I had to look left a good amount to center the crosshairs. Its all working as intended now. -
Change in trackir functionality

Actually, its not trackir as the crosshair moves out of revi when using the numpad keys. -

I know that the sight is supposed to move to show lead but that is not what I meant. The head camera use to rotate in a set position so that if you turned your view as far right as you could and still see the revi the crosshair would still be centered in it.With new eye camera implementation you turn your head only slightly and the crosshair moves outside of the revi. This makes for a wallowing feeling unless you keep your head perfectly still. The problem is that if you want to look around and dogfight in these planes then you need a high sensitivity in trackir. -
Can we have the old version of trackir where the crosshair stayed centered in the Revi when you turned your head. This new implementation makes fighting harder than usual IMO.In the Dora, when you turn your head the reticule moves out of the Revi as if you turn your head AND lean to the side.It makes for weird sensations as I have to move my face in new direction to recenter the crosshair while in real life if I looked up and to the side and glanced down at the crosshair it would still be centered. Try this,go into either P51 or Dora and do some ground attacks with trackir on and off. Then come back here and tell me its just me.:music_whistling:I feel that this trackir implementation is making combat harder than it should be.Watch this video of a person tracking behind a target that is flying straight and level and look how much the crosshair moves all over the revi.It mkaes the plane look and feel unstable when its actually a stable plane once you turn trackir off.Start at 3:20

Its not a bug its more that the FM is a bitch to handle. There are alot of issues with trying to control an advanced prop FM with desktop controls. It will cause many people to have a harsh time getting the hang of it.Same with racing sims and how people jump into them and are all over the place for a good while yet can drive cars perfectly.Eventually you learn to see the cues of what the car/plane is doing earlier. That said I noticed that you also have the offset rudder pedals in controls indicator.Lets see if this gets fixed and I "hope" it can cure some issues. One "might" be that since you are landing and the rudder pedal is pushing to the right the right wing is not moving as fast and so this could be the cause of the wing drop.I am throwing shit out there so take this with the knowledge that I have no idea what I am talking about.:megalol:
-
Its not shifting fiercely.its slowly starting to drift and you need to add in more rudder to catch it before it just gets out of hand.Think to be more aggressive and dance on the pedals. If you are using the Saiteks then remove your feet fom the pedals and use the balls of your feet to press on the lower edge instead. This allows you to more quickly move the pedals around and also to quickly remove your feet from touching the pedals so they center completely. You just need to change your feet mind connection.Be more aggressive and throw the pedals around, try it.

That trailer for the 109K is just amazing!!I never seen it till just now and was just blown away.Gotta say that Glowing Amraam fella really knows his stuff!
-
Your rudder pedal to counter the yaw looked like slow motion. The yaw started and you slowly start adding in rudder to compensate and then you add alot of rudder.Try lots of rudder and then ease off.

Cant say I have seen that.

 It is funny to see a post in code and the readers have to decipher.Even contamination throws me.:pilotfly:

Weird issues with wheel brakes mapped to buttons
wolfstriked replied to jermin's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
I can see your point but the speed differences between the two tires are very minute.Maybe when one tire is traveling very fast compared to the other, like under racing condition, than I can see this happening. Also, when you are landing and the plane is tracking straight and you press W then this should not happen at all but in DCS you still have to dance the pedals. This is something I am coming to find that ED is famous for,aka super unstable under braking planes. One of the things that always bothered me about the A10c was how they added in that skidding effect when your near a full stop in that plane.Ever notice how videos of it landing seemed to be cut right before the plane came to a full stop?Well its never pretty is why. Braking IMO is a very stabilizing thing to do.In racing sims I used brakes as a safety net.If the car got sideways on me and if I had enough room to just track straight I would mash the brakes and the car would stop spinning.Yes all tires would be skidding but all tires moving at same speed stops the momentum. I think this is wrong and will alienate many players away from DCS WW2.These planes are a bitch to get up into the air and to get back down. Then add to this the unstable when braking and its just adding in more difficulty.:joystick: -

Something else about the brakes feels off.Forget about locking the tail wheel for now and think of only the two front tires and how they steer the plane on ground irregardless of locked tail wheel. So when you are taxiing and the plane starts to turn in say right direction you press on left brake pedal to slow down the turn.So with that in mind what I feel is off in the ground handling model is that when you press both brakes down or just hold W down the plane should not want to turn one way or the other but rather track straight. This feels off in landing when you are touched down and after plane seems settled and you press both brakes down evenly the plane turns anyway rather than being locked into tracking straight by both pedals being depressed.
