Great advice, thanks.I put the GBU-12 release solution to ballistic and its spot on now.:)Love the realism!!!Gonna go try to drop them at high angle and using the laser next for another flight of aggravating fun.:megalol: Yeah its a whole lot of fun....painful fun.Its really hard to learn to not negative G onto target and after watching the videos on Eddie's channel I am now feeling pretty proficient at it with nary a negative G pulled.I find it amazing that I can actually pull up,nose over and then pull plane onto target almost inverted and actually then level out and the pipper is close to target.:DIts a great feeling to just execute a bomb delivery like this.

I just ordered FC3 from ED store and have DCSW/A10c/P51 installed from steam.Oh boy I think I screwed up again since I had to repurchase A10c to get it installed in Steam.I did buy the P51 module from ED store though and its now installed within Steam so there is a slight chance this can be fixed? -

Thanks ED,some great stuff incoming and a sale going on at same time.:thumbup: Just wanna point out to you that FC3 is listed as free to play at Steam's DCS list. You cant download it without paying but it will confuse customers no doubt. -
I have alot to learn.:joystick:

Great stuff and hopefully I can take something away from it.Funny that I find landing in crosswinds in A10c and BOS to be easy yet as of this moment CCIP has me baffled. "place the pipper on target and bombs away".
-
I have the laser guided missles down but OMG the unguided bombs are rough.Amazing how hard it really is to just drop a bomb. I am finding CCIP bombing a bitch...."place the pipper on target and bombs away".Not for certain what I am doing wrong but I see a light somewhere off in the distance.Trying steeper angle, shallower angles, slower dives, faster dives etc.
-
GBU-12 when dropped in CCIP falls from from where u pickle the pipper though.Do I have to still turn the laser on to guide it?I tired last night but forgot how to even drop the GBU-12.

A better comms setup. When you press mic forward and the list pops up in upper right corner you should then be able to scroll down the list with more clicks of the same mic switch. When the option you want is highlighted a key you set yourself will select this option.

Even more wacky learning stuff today. Was using the GBU-12 and could not hit a thing with bomb hitting ground 25feet away from target. After 10 attempts I read online that its a laser guided bomb and rather easy to use.:thumbup:Now I am off to see if I can use it in CCIP mode,as it was initially setup, and fire laser at last moment to see if it guides it in.:P

Dude, step away from the computer! LOL,in BOS I have yet to take off without my canopy ripping off.

Just now I am bombing the crap out of an airfield and no detonations again!!! So I F2 to see if maybe I do not have bombs on-board and lo and behold the plane is loaded with all blue weapons. This sim is hard enough to learn yet someone decided to load training bombs on my plane causing an even sharper learning curve. Its taken me a week of training to learn that.:joystick::lol:
-
LOL was thinking the same thing today....dam reality sucks in a sim but at same time draws me in more. Thanks for the idea of bombing into the wind and yes I never thought of that.
-
Hey thanks Shagrat, yes I did check in DSMS and GBU-38 is not possible to change to CCIP.Probably clicked DMS which changed over to the CCIP weapon as its easy to get confused in this sim.Its so funny when I see videos say stuff like "just place pipper over target and its as easy as that".....sure:thumbup: And I did see the Wags video on bomb tossing and will give it a try after I get settled.:book: I dunno, just seems I have excessive wind compared to the videos I see on Utube.Trying to learn how to bomb when the ladder is off the hud completely at times is not easy.:megalol:

Funkster, try setting trackIR pause to mouse scroll wheel button so that you can easily pause trackIR/do your switch magic and unpause.:D

Wow.....I having a rough time learning this sim.:( I have a few questions to ask before I proceed because then I will be even more lost. Are the escape maneuvers actually modeled? It says in lesson that ramp starts will have this setting set to none and until you set correctly you will not be able to release weapons, but thats not true in game.Same with minimum alt for a bomb not changing the carat on reticule. Just now I had a GBU-38's selected and I swear that when I hit my master mode key,it allowed me to drop using CCIP mode. But now it says USE CCRP on hud and will not allow me to drop in CCIP mode.Did I imagine this just now? No where did I read that 3/9 release turns into MAN Rel at a certain altitude and that drove me ape shit!:joystick: Do some bombs just not allow you to use 5MIL? Its set to 3/9 on hud when I set to 5mil in setup. And finally,I just noticed that all the bombing videos I have been watching on Utube seem to be at low wind while for me at times the ladder is stuck to the sides of hud.Just checked in mission "Air start" description where it stated 9mph winds but in game and I look at the waypoint page on CDU it shows 31mph winds.

Now for a more silly question, how do the A10's get backed into the reinforced shelters?
-
Thanks fellas.First need a pot of coffee and then I will test again and see what comes about with a fresh mind.Yesterday I learned that if you cycle way points with DMS and back track from a later waypoint to a previous one your deviation line will be on the opposite side.So I assume that proper procedure is to always back track to previous waypoint and then to the one you wanna select?
-
Question....when you reach a waypoint the HSI then moves the heading pointer to the next steerpoint. What I would like to know is why the course deviation line doesn't also automatically move?

Clean install of DCS - A10C Hud Ladder is offset to right?

Is there a way to bring up the two mfcds as shown above but to stay in cockpit? -

wolfstriked replied to Silver_Dragon's topic in DCS 2.9
Thanks,I just tried your suggestion of NWS under 50 and it actually helps.:megalol:As for using differential braking....I noticed a post where many where having a hard time with this and wonder why its even used when landing?Isn't that the reason for NWS? -
DCS: Roadmap (unofficial - NO DISCUSSION HERE)
wolfstriked replied to Silver_Dragon's topic in DCS 2.9
Referring to the Warthog. Just find that the braking model feels off to me BUT I also just noticed something right now. When I set a rotary on my joystick to the brakes I can now brake nice and smooth with control of the skidding around on runway. And also just now it hit me that since I usually brake with a single keypress that the key = full on brakes.I do understand this thinking since its possible that the plane will land on very short runway but feel that threshold braking is pretty easy in real life and so pilots will know to ease off slightly when slides are occurring. -
