  1. Hi, Could you explain those code lines a little bit, please? I would really like to have this feature for the L-39, but unfortunately those code lines look like gibberish to me. And I don't want to mess with the system files by adding code that I have no idea what it does and how it works.

  6. Sorry lanmancz, didn't see your earlier post about the magic rudder. But now that 2 have raised this question, hopefully some answers will be coming. I am curious to find out if this behavior is realistic.
  7. I have a question about the FM: when I push the stick to either side to start a turn, I noticed that the slip ball remains dead centered without me ever having to use the rudder pedals. Normally one has to use ailerons and rudder to make a coordinated turn, but no rudder needed in the L-39. Does it have some auto-rudder functionality mechanically built into it, or is it just so benevolent in its flight characteristics, or is it a bug in the FM?
  8. There are two places where flat shadows can be selected, ordinary shadows and terrain shadows. Do I understand it correctly that the "highest" setting/realism is to have flat shadows off for normal shadows, but flat shadows on for the terrain shadow? Correct?

  13. Hi Guys, When I manually prime the engine while the ground crew runs the inertial starter, the fuel pressure gauge doesn't increase any more as it used to in 1.2.16. Is this a bug, or an intentional change? If the latter, how do I know when I primed sufficiently?
  14. Hi, I just tried my first MP flight in DCSW 1.5 beta. But I can't figure out how to choose my call sign. I just show up as "Player", as do about half the other guys.:helpsmilie:
  15. I attached a simple test mission. All it does is to wait for one second, then evaluate a "lua predicate" trigger with argument "return true". Since this is necessarily true, it should output a simple message with which I tasked the triggered action. The message never displays, but displays if I remove the lua predicate, indicating that the lua predicate command doesn't work any more in 1.5 beta. I already posted this in the mission editor's corner, and Grimes said he could reproduce it. So, I report it here as a bug. lua predicate bug.miz

  20. First off: great job on 1.5 However, even with "enlarged" unit ICONs (forgot the term used in game right now) I cannot see helicopters against terrain background. I use F10 to obtain their locations, and I stare right at the location where they ought to be, but helicopters seem to unrecognizably blend into the terrain, no chance of seeing them on monitor (unless I zoom in to the max). Since the units should be enlarged now, I wonder if it is a problem of insufficient color contrast, so that even if they are rendered big, there is no contrast to distinguish them from the terrain background. Just an observation, wonder if other have the same problem.
  21. Thanks that did the trick. Another point though. Am I correct that mist's message system now conflicts with DCS world's own message system. It seems that now if I use the mist.msg system, the message gets rebroadcast over and over again quickly filling up the entire screen. If needed I can provide example missions.
  22. Hi Grimes, I can't get mist to work in DCS 1.5. When I try to use it (as I did many times before in older versions) I get the message "attempt to index global mist (a nil value)". What am I doing wrong? I attached a very simple message that simply outputs "Hello". test mist in V1.5.miz
