I dont want to put anyone off. By all means if you want to put a team together, please do, and register. I just want to stress the importance of reliability. This is an issue for everyone involved including the big squads.

Sure. Gather together, give yourselves a squad name and register. Typically lonewolf squads didnt have the stamina or depth to field 6 pilots over the course of the tournament. Late cancellations or no shows are very dissapointing for the opposing squad. If however you're up for it then absolutely go for it!

But how does it distinguish between headset movement due to the chair and your movement looking around? or is the sensor mounted to chair so chair movement is zeroed out?

This looks very interesting! How do the rift sensors keep track with the chair movement?

At present we are not including a human ATC/Commander role. For future events we may consider more complex setups though.

The mission file is just a file. How did you delete the config thing?

This is a little odd. A squadmate made a simple air start mission for us. When hosting it everyone else seems to have a different FOV when joining to what they normally have. Most of us seem to be sat a little higher in the cockpit (minor issue). One person was default zoomed in to the max and even when zoomed out couldnt see the bottom of the instrument display (major issue). Any ideas?

Squadron Air to Air Championship The 51st PVO, in cooperation with the 104th, are proud to announce the commencement of this years SATAC! For those who have not participated before SATAC is a chance to demonstrate your air supreriority in a squad vs squad event. Sign up starts now and ends 1st October. The event is scheduled to start Saturday 7th October. The event is expected to continue for a further 2 weekends depending on match schedule and results. Anticipate matches to continue on to the weekend of the 21st/22nd. SATAC 2016 Champions 104th Phoenix! Event rules - Teams consist of 6 players each. We highly recommend having reserves. Expect to fly shorthand against a fully rostered opposition if you dont have 6 pilots ready by match time. - Bullseye is centered at Kashuri with opposing teams stationed at Senaki and Tbilisi. There will be an engagement bubble centred on bullseye which teams must control to win the engagement. Once you enter the bubble you must not exit until the opposing team has been neutralised. Stay within the engagement bubble till the opposition is destroyed. Once you leave the bubble you cannot re-enter. You will be warned as you approach its the edge. - At least one pilot from the winning team must return to base in order for the win the round. - AWACS will be active and available for both teams. The AWACS for each team will be stationed outside of the engagement bubble and will be invincible. - Air frame selection is permanent during individual matches. Teams must choose a set line up for each match and stick with that format. You may not change the air frame line up between rounds of a match. Eg. choosing 4 F15, 2 Su27 cannot be altered until the next match. - Available aircraft: F15, Su27, Su33, Mig29, M2K. - Mission will be posted shortly. Weapon restriction For this years SATAC we will be alternating rounds between an early 80s payload and a late 80s payload. Round 1 (Early 80s) missiles permitted: Aim7M, R27R, R27T, S530D, Aim9M, R73, MagicII. Round 2 (Late 80s) missiles permitted: Aim7M, R27R/ER, R27T, S530D, Aim9M, R73, MagicII. For a match to be won you must win 2 consecutive rounds. We may implement a final tie break round if necessary. The Su27 is nimbler and should have better TW ratio and STR.

I think every man and his dog has either the Mig21 or the F5 (if not both). At least the people I know and fly with and against. I think the player base isa there but un-utilised because the airframes are rendered redundant in the current set up. Its testing, lets test it out. Nothing to lose. If doesnt work revert back.
