  1. Because of the complaining and whining? Event organisers do this in their free time, often being left out of pocket for the benefit of participants. Please remember this before venting your spleen.
  2. Thanks! I look forward to the next event.
  3. Virpil Constellation series?
  4. Thanks for the event! I enjoyed it. I was able to damage a Sabre before I was damaged myself. Limped home being chased by 3 other Sabres. Landed and shortly after our base was being attacked. I scrambled but was strafed taking off and had to crash land shortly after. S!
  5. Couldnt seem to mount the ASO-2 pod to the Mig21 in Whispers and Whistles mission today for any Mig21 slot. Deliberate or a bug? Thanks.
  6. I wonder what the game would look like without launch warnings..
  7. Heatblur Draken announced? This was sent to me by a squad mate: Seems we have a Draken inbound (at some point). Cant wait! I love it. J 35D or F please!
  8. Thanks for the review. Let us know how it works for DCS!
  9. Indeed. I'd be very interested in a 1600x vs 8700K DCS comparison!
  10. Its posted well after the KS ended. I dont get it! I think the fact he says dont bother with current gen VR, even at a discounted price, is quite telling.
  11. +1 Having read lots of reviews and researched the topic to death it seems to me, at least for DCS, that the majority of the gains from SB to the newest I7s/Ryzens are due to faster RAM and better optimised platforms. The IPC gains are minimal:( Its a little dissapointing. I want to upgrade my 2700k@4.8 but im having a hard time justifying it.
  12. I like the clouds. The terrrain and explosions too.
  13. Almost $4million in the kickstarter...
  14. Im not sure what to make of it. Why is the view so zoomed out in the Su25T at the start/middle?
  15. Almost $3million...
  16. Weapon restrictions? Ill try and be there.
  17. In my experience the mirage is definately harder to find in radar and eos.
  18. I had pledged for 8KX but now wondering if the 8K will suffice. DCS thread over at Pimax forums http://forum.pimaxvr.com/t/digital-combat-simulator/3149/72
  19. Superb news! Please post more info/impressions/videos.
  20. Loser round 4.
  21. Thanks for the interview Tiger! I've updated the tacviews dropbox. Only the 104th vs NP R1 and NP vs Team China are missing. Hopefully they will be added by tomorrow.
  22. It is indeed regrettable. Unfortunately the tournament was always due to end this weekend. We also made that clear throughout the week. We have tried to accomodate the Chinese teams as much as possible including delaying the start of the tournament by one week (from the 7th to 14th) following your request to allow Chinese pilots to return from China national day holidays. We also scheduled matches at 12z (4AM West coast time USA) to allow an as early start as possible. I would also remind you that our own squad contains 3 pilots all in China, Japan and Indonesia (Slutcher, Seetricks, Scarface) who were ready and waiting to fly the match at 3AM just like you. Except we also had 2 from the US (Yaga and Moltar) who had been up since 4/5AM local time to fly our own matches and then streaming/hosting other matches while waiting to fly against NP. So regrettable indeed. But we have made the same effort and endured the same inconvenience as you, if not more. The tournament rules, dates and times are set at the start. Teams must decide if it suits them before committing.
  23. SATAC 2017 OVER! Todays results Losers round 4 - NP win vs Team China Semifinal - 51st win over SF Losers round 5 - NP win over SF Final - 51st walkover NP SATAC winners - 51st Bisons Runners up - NP Squadron 3rd Place - SF Squadron. Thank you to all the squads that participated in this years SATAC. Its been a pleasure to host you. We must thank the 104th and TAW for their help in hosting the matches as well. Special thanks to our streamers and live commentators <51P>Moltar, Microvax and 104thcdt-Tiger. We all immensely enjoyed the streams and commentary. The parts I missed I'll be catching up on over this week - cant wait! This years SATAC has been the most successful to date with 11 squads participating and live streaming of almost all the matches. Its a real shame that the final was a walkover. Ultimately there were always going to be compromises necessary when hosting this many squads from so many timezones. No doubt in the future there will need to be a better solution. We waited a long time to fly the Final vs NP but ultimately it was not to be. Ill update tacviews and compile a list of livestream replays Monday night. Training starts now for SATAC 2018!
