  1. You're about 2 years too late! You want this one https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=192219
  2. The Su27 is nimbler and should have better TW ratio and STR.
  3. I think every man and his dog has either the Mig21 or the F5 (if not both). At least the people I know and fly with and against. I think the player base isa there but un-utilised because the airframes are rendered redundant in the current set up. Its testing, lets test it out. Nothing to lose. If doesnt work revert back.
  4. Its great thats its back. Unfortunately the server was extremely laggy with only 20 or so players on just after the restart. I took a 3 ship up and we were all in our own little indivudual blue flags. I knwo the struggle is real. Good luck BF team!
  5. I dont recall any rounds where it was ER vs 7M. I also think the player base is there for more 21 vs F5 emphasis. At least if the recent Red flags/Rumbles are anything to go by. That matchup is also much more naturally balanced. Worth a try at least. If it fails then we can always return to M2Quake:) Edit: Server where art thou?
  6. I like the idea of greater emphasis on the Mig21 and F5. Move rhe modern jets away from the front line.
  7. Ill never understand this. Are they afraid they may have to shoot something down? Its fun, trust me. Where's the fun in having no opposition, flying trail behind everyone else.. In a selfish way I'm genuinely happiest when my side is outnumbered. Regardless of side. Sure, we may lose the map. But at least its fun.
  8. Clearly cargo ships are far deadlier than ASMs.
  9. Client-server approach. How much benefit?
  10. Im more interested in the higher clockspeeds and more mature mobo/ram setups with TR. I doubt ED will sort multicpu/gpu within the l8fetime of the machine.
  11. Well, we all know DCS is a clockspeed and IPC gold digger. Given that a 1600x that can reliably hit 4ghz or a 1900x that can XFR to 4.2ghz might be a better proposition than an R7 that only reaches 3.8. The sensible choice is the R5 since its cheaper, and for gaming youre never gonna saturate 6 cores and 12 threads. When Zen2 is out at 4.5-5ghz you can just drop that in then. We've yet to see what the 8700k can deliver but all indications are its a 7700k with 2 cores bolted on, at a slower clock. No IPC advantage. I just like the name Threadripper:)
  12. Indeed. Im weighing up 1900X vs 1600X vs 8700K. I only play DCS/Star citizen.
  13. You mean low latency, fast ram? It seems 1.5 is cpu limited whereas 2.1 places more load onto the GPU. Hopefully its the same with 2.5.
  14. Grest write up Beastybaiter! So basically 1.5 is CPU limited and 2.1 is GPU limited? Im tempted to go for a 1600x from my 2700k@4.6ghz but if 2.5 is gonna be GPU limited then im better of going for a GPU upgrade.
  15. DCS needs to move with the times, if it is to survive.
