  1. Quick question, I am about to order one but I am trying to figure out which one. I just got a PlaySeat Evolution and the seating area is about 14" wide. The FSE pad is 18" wide, The Race is 15.4" but seems to be customer order and the SiMsaker is alsio15.4" I am worrried that the FSE is too wide. Which ones did you guys who recently purchased get?
  2. And sorry if this has been answered here before. With MSFS2020 supporting all VR headsets in the December 23rd update, can we use the controls in MSFS2020?
  3. Yes, I would like a list, I went to the monster tech website and looked at the flight stand and the pedal extension but it does not get close to what you have. I wish their framer builder would work. I like the smaller foot print of your setup
  4. Thanks Ziptie I will look into it
  5. I know this sounds strange but let me explain. I fly in VR and I use PointCTRL to push the MFD buttons in the cockpit. And I have a TM MFD that I use for all kinds of other functions, like views, hide stick, kneeboarding etc. when I set up the controls for A-10-II for yesterday, I wanted to set up the controls similarly but when delete all the keybinds it does not allow me to add any others. It will only allow MFD buttons to be setup. any idea how to fix this? Peter
  6. I clearly saw a difference. I saw a major difference in startup time for windows. BTW I ran MSFS2020 and it is amazing, I flew out of my home field and it is exactly the same. With my hardware, I can run at high settings and it looks so good every detail. Having flown DCS in VR in the last 15 months I am used to the lower quality of VR but running on a regular screen again the difference is so clear. But using my TrackIr again to look around is just so archaic compared to VR.
  7. As I got a bigger ssd today I am downloading it at the moment:music_whistling: Fun story,I got a second m.2 drive only to find out that my MB does not support a second M.2 drive if you have a Ryzen COU installed. Ok put 1Tb M.2 on the shelf for later and got a 1 Tb SSD.
  8. It is exactly as you describe Gunslinger, I love the feeling of being in the cockpit. after having flow with TrackIR for years, one flight with VR was enough no never want to go back to a flat screen. I would love to get the MSFS 2020 but I don’t want to go back to a monitor. I am off this week and one of my SSD’s died last night playing COD modern warefare. 1 1/2 years old crucial 500Gb just died, so I am picking up a 1Tb M.2 later this morning, which will give me enough space to get MSFS2020 ..... but I want VR but I want to fly it as it looks so good
  9. Thanks everyone! I will use FPSvr, I remember using it before on steamvr. I run a Rift S now so the motion reprojection is not applicable. On another note I am blind in my left eye, I wish I could tell my headset to turn the left screen off. My FPS would go up for sure.
  10. With the new GPU cards coming out soon I am thinking about upgrading my RTX2070 to the RTX 3080. I run a Ryzen 7 2700 CPU, which I selected before flying in DCS again, I was playing a lot of other games. To figure out what I should upgrade first how do I determine what my current limitation is. it is just a matter of looking at the performance overview in Windows10? Or are there other tools I should use? Thanks Peter
  11. I understand Baltic, I was wondering if someone here knew
  12. I have the MFG Crosswinds and am very happy, I got mine in 4 days and they work really well
  13. I run on a Ryzen7 2700 and the other hardware you see in my signature and I would say it runs well, steady 40 FPS with medium settings. I decided on the Ryzen when I was playing other games like Call of Duty and Battlefield 5. If I would decide today with my renewed focus on DCS I would get an Intel because we can overclock them higher. I got the AMD because it was more affordable. I have not tried to overclock my Ryzen although I can do it with my MB
  14. Any reason it would not? I will not buy msf2020 until they offer VR support for my headset, at this moment a rift S
  15. While on the topic of fuel state, I notice that when I call mother in general (not specific to this campaign) it reports a fuel state different than what I have. It might say fuel state 7.8 but I have 9,000 lbs left over. There is always a 1000 tp 1500 lbs difference. Peter
  16. Thank you, I noticed he was further up
  17. This has happened several times to me now, the first time I thought I did something wrong. It happened earlier this week when I did mission 1 in the Raven One campaign and this morning again. After going through the whole startup, having the wheel chocks removed, and releasing the parking brake the airplane will not move. In the linked track file you will see I go to full afterburner and it will not move. The "solution" seems to be, end the mission, start it again and it works. https://www.dropbox.com/s/f5m6kqd405jbzxm/Stuck.trk?dl=0 this is a recent thing for me at least. Peter
  18. Thank you for the pointer, I saw it after I posted and I thought I edited my original post.
  19. Follow on question for this mission. I fully agree with the others, absolutely amazing. Hearing the MC5 at the beginning gave me chills. EDIT:just saw a reference to the new alignment procedure, reading it noW When starting in the mission you have to start the Hornet, no problem but I notice a difference from the many times I started it before. Maybe this is a change with the last patch or in this campaign, I am not sure. Toward the end of the startup I usually select the time zone OBS on the AMCP but now I see the label man, which when selected starts over the INS alignMent. And it takes a long time to finish. The alignment seems to take longer than before, in Chucks manual it states 2 minutes for carrier alignment ent but it seems to take about 10 minutes. The first time I ran the mission I automatically select the OSB where I normally find the time zone and it took for ever and I did not want to sit that long as I had to follow Saint. I knew my flight path marker was going to wrong. I redid the mission and have another question, when I gave Saint the signal I was ready, I followed him but he stopped short of the cat until I moved. I got an error I was blocking cat 4 so I moved a bit further but my crew did not tell me to move forward until Saint launched. By then Saint complained I was not in formation. Thanks!
