I recently saw a video on the small sweet spot in the quest 2, there might be a problem with the lenses. Just a certain batch that has this problem. Check out MRTV on YouTube he had a video on it few days ago.

I agree that the Quest 2 looks the best, how much can the link cable influence the image quality?

I have been flying in VR for almost 2 years now and love it. Reading messages about clarity of other headsets had me thinking about upgrading my Rift S. I know a G2 will give the best image but I don’t have the hardware to support it. And not willing to spend the $$$ for that. for those who have done it, is the Quest 2 more clear/sharper than the Rift S? my specs are in my signature.

I tried to find the difference but most reference FPs and refresh rate. I was trying to understand why people refer to frame time. can you explain or giver me a link. thanks

I look forward to your reports, I currently run a 2070 and was thinking a 3080 when I get a new processor. But 6800/6900 are looking better and like you my main use Is DCS. I know I will need a need VR headset too, this hobby is expensive

Do you see your tubing flex? I just wonder as this tubing is designed with the different internal structures that it would now flex. Just trying to make it less expensive.

Good point on the motion sickness, I don’t have it even on lower FPS. But I do a trick when I make a left or right sharp turn, I move move my head to the side to give my inner ear the sensation of leaning into that turn.

That makes sense, I don’t use an extension so I don’t have the issue.what are your thoughts on using 30mm frame parts instead of 40mm. I would think they are strong and rigid enough. You have your TV on 40 frame right?

I like your setup Rogue! it is compact and functional. I have been designing a similar setup in recent day with 80/20 design software. I was wondering, your pedals seem relatively high in relation to your seat. I got a playseat and had it in the floor, my legs were knees high and caused cramps in my hips. I have gone back to my office chair for now until I build my 80/20 setup. I have been working on different designs using different sizes of 80/20. Using 40/80 and 80/80 makes it quiet expensive.

But do we need 90 FPS in VR? I see so many people complain that they don’t get the same FPS as on flat screen. I have a Rift S and can 40 FPS in most cases. On the super carrier in get 25-30 FPS. And it very enjoyable and great immersion.

Now imagine feeling your A10 too . Been flying in VR for 2 years and recently added the gamematrix jetseat. It is amazing. You can read about it under the input - output section of the forum

Question to other users, do you modify the settings for the JetSeat per plane? I started flying the A-10II and I could feel the other items (gear etc) besides the engine sounds. But flying other planes I feel the other items were less noticeable. I have been playing around the settings and the total vibration strength (vertical slider). I have been reducing the engine vibrations to make the others more noticeable. And the F14 does not seems to create any effect. I did discover the reload button on the Simshaker Aviator software which loads the correct settings file but I get no vibration with the Tomcat. I have downloaded the latest official (not beta) version. Peter

Buy a VR headset, yes image quality will less but immersion is 100x better.
