  1. Burner, I had tracking problem too and exchanged my unit. The second works fine, call support. In my case when I moved my head the whole image would move not t my head inside the image. Dutch
  2. Good question, it depends on what the seat delivers in options, but I think $250 -$500 and it the one that works the best for me is $600 then that is fine too.
  3. Thanks for the link, I also need to find a good gaming chair and I have looked at many. I fly in VR, I about to install my Foxx mounts to my table. I currently use the same desk as I use for work throughout the day, it has arm rests but I think they might be in the way when using the Foxx mount for throttle. Secondly I don’t want to take the seat on and off every time. My son has the next level racing setup for driving, I looked at their seat and it is expensive. Just curious what people use, I see car seats being used.
  4. I don’t see a combat version listed on Andre’s website, a google search gets me to the 908 model. Looking at all products the only shows me the 901 model so I am confused.
  5. And tell me if this is normal when I put the Rift S headset down and pick it up again the background which normally is the house is all static, as if I am watching a TV without signal. I was putting it down on the face part do aiming down. It that not the right way to do it. Whenever I place the controllers down and later pick them up again their position is completely wrong, sometimes my hands are reversed
  6. most of the light is behind me so I turned around and used the VR recenter, nothing changes. I move my head and the image of the cockpit moves away an equal amount to my movement. I am going to try to make a video of it EDIT: . you will see as I line up behind the other A10 I put him behind the canopy railing. At least that is the way it looks for me as I am blind in my left eye. Usually, the recording happens from the left screen in the headset. To normally see the other plane again I would lower my view or lean to the left. You can see in the video that there is some movement visible but I am not moving from the center of the screen.
  7. I have set up the guardian boundaries and ran a repair on DCS and no change what so ever.....:joystick: EDIT: I tried it with the oculus f18 game and the same happens. I move my head and the whole view moves, not my head within the space. Could it be a tracking problem? And just to be 100% sure I don't need base stations for the rift s right
  8. it still is with the Odyssey+ and Rift S but it has changed since 2.5.5, it is not as dark anymore and redraws faster.
  9. The numpad keys work in the F14 to move the viewing point and I have linked the VR center function to my Hotas. the numpad 5 recenters it to but does not change the view behaviour as described. I will test setting the Guardian as soon as the bunch of teenagers are out of my basement, my son has friends over.
  10. I just got the rift S so I can compare it to my O+. And I believe it clearer than the O+. But I have one problem, when I move my head in the cockpit it is not moving independently of the cockpit, meaning if lean to the side or forward the move in the same direction. This was in the F14, in the F18 I could not test it as I have an even weirder problem there. My seat position is too far up and to the right. And the seat position movement buttons (Ctrl+num pad keys) do not respond and do not move the seat position. One note, I did not do the guardian setup as I use in seated position only, that might have something to do with it. I read people talking about the oculus tray tool, do I need to download this separately? I ran through the setup and it seems to work well. Any ideas for either or both problems? Peter
  11. I just preordered it on Amazon for $169 plus tax. I did it because it is an easy add on. I purchased my warthog years ago
  12. I use the O+ with vaicompro. If I remember correctly in the steamVR settings there is an audio tab, you can set which speakers and microphone to use when using the headset. Secondly in the settings of Viacomoro you can set specific devices for each channel. Check it out
  13. Is it still available?
  14. My wife just came up a good one. The smell of vomit :megalol:
  15. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/feelreal-the-world-s-first-multisensory-vr-mask--2?utm_content=campaigns_one_column4_hero_image&utm_source=sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=bck-05172019friday&gs_variant=control Hot sweaty pilot???
  16. I wore my glasses and it scratched my lenses and you can’t replace the lenses only. I asked. Depending on your prescription you can fly without your glasses. It might look a little fuzzy Regarding budget.....VR has a tendency to mess with that. I spent an additional $700 after buying the hmd on sale. I got another GPU and PSU.
  17. This is so cool, I switched to VR a few months back and have build a small stand to hold my 3 MFD's. I am waiting on the PointControl finger pointers but this is great.
  18. Yes correct the crtl-shift numpad are not working. the strange thing is that it started with the F5, a few days later it happened to the F18, the A-10 and f14 were still fine on Sunday. I am travelling for work this week so I have not flown this week. It can't be anything systematic as it would happen to all planes right?
  19. Thank you for the suggestions but as mentioned, the Numpad reposition keys do not respond. RCtrl + R Shift + Numpad keys. And the VR recenter key which I have bound to my Hotas does not improve it. it actually makes me move further left in small increments and then stops moving. I use the Odsyssey+ so I have no sensors. I had one light bulb in my fluorescent light go out so I added an additional light but that made no difference. Secondly, it happened with the F5 first and then several days later with the Hornet while the A-10 and the F-14 are still fine. if I had to do with my VR headset it would be with all planes. Last week there were updates for DCS, Nvidia and SteamVR beta, one of them caused this.
  20. I purchased the F5 last week and while flying it DCS crashed. When getting back into the cockpit my seat position was far to the left. I tried to use the seat position keys to move to the center but they did not respond. My other planes were fine (A-10, FA-18 and F14) Today I was flying the FA-18 campaign and when I loaded the 4th mission the same problem happened. I am positioned in front of the left DDI. And the seat position buttons do not work. And yes they are defined in the control section. And they work in the other planes. Now no matter which mission I load for the F5 or FA-18 my seat position is so far off that I am almost sitting outside. Anyone seen this before? I have a screenshot I will upload later. Thanks
  21. I was flying the F5 when DCS crashed and when I restarted and got back into the cockpit my seat position is to the left. I sit on the edge of the canopy. I tried the seat position adjustment keys (/R Crtrl + R shift and the numpad keys) but they don't move me. All the other planes are fine, it is only with the F5. Any ideas? EDIT: it just happened again but now in the F18, I flew 3 missions in a campaign no issue. shut the system down and had lunch. Came back boot up and now on the 4th mission, it happens with the Hornet???? Can a moderator move this to the VR subforum? thanks
  22. Yes please keep us posted!
  23. Just amazing Miles, I can wait until you have the mount for the Odyssey ready.
  24. Let me try both suggestions Thx
