  1. The only time I see this happen is if my mouse has gotten outside of DCS and the input focus is not on DCS. I need to get the mouse over DCS and click a few times or sometimes Alt-Tab to a different program that is open and back to DCS. Do you see the blue bar on the top of the screen? I use a WMR HMD so that might be related to windows based headsets.
  2. I am not sure this is your problem but this is what I see. When the radio menu is open and I move the mouse I see the blue cross and when I try to click on the radio menu nothing happens. if I continue to move my mouse right I will see the white dot mouse cursor, the same one I see in the menus of DCS. The white dot can select radio commands. I think this is caused by the SteamVR blue cross mouse cursor.
  3. in your Saved Games/DCS directory you will see a field with Odyssey in the name and the extension lua. delete or rename the file and the next time you start DCS the window will pop up again.
  4. My system is clearly lower but I try the same as you, the shimmering was my biggest problem. I have the settings almost identical. Which plane do you fly the most? Strangely enough in the F14 there are no MFD's but the worn look is too much for VR. I have applied this mod DCS: F-14 - Brickdust's "Drunken Sailor" VR Friendly Cockpit https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=238208 For the F18 I adjust the line thickness of the MFD's see here, let me edit this message later after I look on my DCS system. EDIT: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=234431 My settings stroke_thickness = 0.7 stroke_fuzziness = 0.4 DMC_stroke_thickness = 0.58 DMC_stroke_fuzziness = 0.32 In general, there seems to be a difference based upon which map you play. Last week I was in the hornet on a carrier deck and it was completely clear. other maps a little less. My last change that made a clear difference was to set the application resolution in SteamVR to the recommended value. it made the image more clear, that fuzzy look went away.
  5. Same here, I never saw and checked it in the settings. Now I use VaicomPro and the wheel is not shown anymore anyway.
  6. A quick question, how many on this forum have been involved in software development? This can be actual coding, testing, technical support, product management or marketing? The only thing I have not done is coding. I have worked on software that is used to calculate how much radiation to give cancer patients for 20 years. A bug can kill someone. If not you have no idea what is involved. I think it was in the Fighter Pilot podcast that Wags talked about several parts of the software that they were improving but to Implement A, they first have to B which is dependent on changes in C, F and M. I have been amazed about the speed of the development and communication. And I think people forget that they are using the Beta version. And yes it can be frustrating when bugs happen, it should give you an idea of the complexity of software development. Look at Apple or Microsoft some of their updates break things.

  8. And that is if you have a power supply that is sufficient. I bought the Odyssey+ when it was on sale 2 months ago. $200 of the regular price I must get it. In the end, I bought a new GPU RTX2070 and 750W PSU and spent $1,000 in total with the HMD. I do love flying in VR it was just not as inexpensive as I thought.
  9. :pilotfly: If I remember correctly you don't select the gun on the stores page but with the 4 way switch on your joystick. I think it was only in Air to Ground mode you select the gun on the stores page
  10. I want to share an observation, I have my Odyssey+ for about 2 months now and always found the image fuzzy looking. I probably spent 2 weeks trying to optimize my image. I did the shader mods, use SteamVR beta with motionreprojectioin, left and right eye alignment etc. etc. I also got prescription lens covers and all this helps. But I felt it always looked somewhat fuzzy. After this weeks patch, I saw that SteamVR Beta also was upgraded so I decided to verify the settings. I saw nothing changed and my application resolution was still at 200%. I had put it there in the past based upon all the posts I had read. Below it was the recommendation that 192% was optimal based on my GPU. Thinking I would not lose much I set it to 192%. I did a carrier takeoff mission in Hornet and from the moment the screen appeared I noticed that the fuzzy look was gone. It made a clearly visible difference. Check what your card's recommendation is!
  11. A couple of days ago I just stopped flying DCS because VaicomPro had messed up all my control bindings and updates seemed to come out every day. Last night I reread 10 pages of information and got things to work again. let me share a few hints and still some small problems. - I had the radio menus popping up all the time - I did the master reset on the lua file and that solved it. - I have set several preferences in VaicomPro like Select tunes radio before starting DCS. When in DCS it does not work. When I look at the preferences again the option was turned off. Another good example is the ICS hot mic, I select it but when in DCS it is not set. I saw a suggestion about holding the transmit button a little longer, This really helps. I have added a command next to go through the kneeboard pages. I found out that I can hold the transmit button and just keep saying Next until I get to the right page. Then let go of the transmit button. - I added the Jester commands to the kneeboard and with the correct syntax in front of me I can issue the commands and get a response from Jester
  12. Speedy, your pages are nicer than the ones I made so I am going to use yours.
  13. I have had something similar from the beginning and I think it has something to do with not using the controllers while you start in WMR software. It always starts up first, then steamVR and then DCS
  14. I fully understand what you are saying as a pilot in real life. I just noticed the difference right away after the patch. the nose drops in level flight
  15. That is fantastic Hollywood. Goed gedaan!:) BTW I noticed yesterday that when I talk it shows a red bar on the bottom of the VA window. I thought it meant that something was not right but I just saw the same in your install problem form February. I guess it must have been there a while. I remember it showing as a black bar.
  16. I think the biggest thing is that I play in VR so I can't look at a list and I have not used all the commands using the wheel before so I don't remember them all. The wheel is a reference.
  17. I had a problem earlier in the week with Vaicom, Voiceattack would not be able to find the DCS install. I currently have only the Openbeta installed, so I used the custom directory option and the OB check mark. I solved it by starting VA as an administrator. I forgot to set that when I reinstalled.
  18. Don't wear your glasses they will scratch the lenses. I found out the hard way. I did not order from the VR-Lens-lab as they don't have them for the Odyssey+ I checked. I ordered my prescription lenses here https://widmovr.com/product/odyssey-prescription-lens-adapters/ They work very well. you just put them on top of the lenses in the HMD
  19. When using Chrome a window popped up asking if I wanted the page translated. it worked very well.
  20. I will have to try it because I only started getting the flashing menu's after yesterday's update. When you say reload you mean import a new profile? I would have to add my additional commands again uugghh
  21. Please put me on the release list. be aware I have an Odyssey+
  22. I can try that, how many halfs did you end up cutting off?
  23. I received and installed the green spring from Warthog Extensionshttps://warthog-extensions-by-sahaj.com/. The pressure to move the stick is much lighter which is good but I feel there is a no spring zone in the center which makes it hard to make precise inputs. Also if you pull back on the stick and then add roll there is no spring tension. does anyone else have experience with this spring? I wanted to try this before getting a Warbird base.
  24. I see the same, the Hornet normally trim to 1G and stabilizes but now the nose keeps dropping. When I trim up it keeps it there for a bit and the nose drops again.
  25. I will try that Arturo
