Idk if you're talking about hosting a server trough a seperate program or whatever , but i've hosted small multiplayer games many times in the past for me and a friend. Just go to multiplayer > new server > pick a mission and then your friends can join you. I don't know how stable this is when more players join but for 2 player co-op it always worked perfectly fine. You get into your aircraft exacly the same way you would if you were to join a server, just select a slot from the list.

Check if easy communications is toggled on/off in both your personal settings and the mission specific settings (in mission editor). If it's NOT on (so realistic comms are used) then you do need battery power and the radios operational in order to use them. You can contact ground becouse , when your canopy is open you can alwayss contact ground (look at it as if your pilot is screaming at the crew chief.) I don't know the mig 21 that well , but in the ka50 you need to switch the radio to "intercom" in order to contact ground crew "when the doors are closed anyway) given they're both russian birds i would assume it's the same in the mig. Oh and obviously you need to enter the right frequency in the radio(non-easy comms only). You can find out your airports frequency by going to the f10 map and clicking the airport icon and looking in the bottom left of the screen. Also , in the A-10 and the Ka-50 , there is "communications menu" command , and a dedicated push to talk command wich operates the radios. Again , i don't know the mig that well but it may have a similar system. (The A10 even has 3 separate PTT keys for its 3 radios) Edit : though now that i think about it i think the mig 21 may not use frequencies but pre set channels that need to be set from the mission editor , if that's the case i can't help you any more

I've just found out about this game. Looks cheesy but at the same time tons of fun (maybe i'm just a psychopath)... far as i can tell it's mobile only though :( Why are there no serious AC 130 games on PC?! If i had a device capable of running this i'd be all over it!

Greetings Recently i've been wanting to scratch that multiplayer itch again so i've decided to hop on the 104th for the first time in a while. However i have a problem where my game often crashes in big multiplayer games (used to happen on virtual aerobatics too). But anyway this isnt a tech support thread , i just wanted to ask what exacly happens with my aircraft when my game crashes. Does it just despawn or does it keep on flying out of control? I fear i may have killed a fellow Ka50 that was starting up when my game crashed as i was in a hover in front of him ... :S (If that pilot happens to read this , i'm sorry) I don't want to get banned and i fear that , untill i fix these crashes this may happen on occasion as i like to fly formations and cover people a little when possible

I just started this campaign mysellf earlyer today and i can cornfirm you do not need to shut down the engines to complete it. In fact you don't even need to land. About... i dont know , 15 KMs from home base the hind said he was RTB and i should land too , and then the "mission complete" popped up. I landed and shut down anyway but the mission was complete while still airborne

I agree. Those who don't want to fly it without carrier ops can just hold off on purchasing it untill it's included. Why should the rest of us have to wait?

I'm not saying i'll definitely be a RIO primarily , but i'm certainly open to the idea.

There's 2 ways to get the pinky to work as a pinky modifier. 1 : Program it trough your software as a modifier. or 2 : Program it in DCS as a modifier. If you want to program it trough DCS , you must make sure it's not already programmed in your software , or DCS wont recognise it as a key.

Mbot i agree , this is something i've been thinking about ever since they started confirming 2-seaters in DCS was gonna be a thing. I think it would be a very wise descision to let people fly single seaters in co-op, it would make teaching and learning aircraft systems so easy its crazy.

I think its a very good idea but only for real DCS aircraft , not FC3. Multiplayer doesnt interest me so much but the idea of flying with a real co pilot does. I don't see why i can't be done , i can't imagine making a 2 seat variant of an already existing aircraft being too hard. F-18D would be awesome. Though if i'm honest i don't see it happening anytime soon. And by soon , since we're talking about a flight sim i mean "in the next 5 years".

Maybe easy comms has something to do with it , i know it messes up the campaign so you never know
