  1. I was going to post this in the "questions for the stream" thread but i figured maybe it doesn't quite fit there... not sure. I guess here is the best location , if i'm wrong maybe a mod can move it. If i understand correctly trees, while now collidable are just a "pole" (collision model wise), does that mean they'll still be pretty ineffective in blocking AI visibility & fire? From what i can tell the "godmode" AI vision isnt going away any time soon , and that would be fine if the trees would block the fire (if they block the fire it doesn't matter that the AI can see you .. you only need either A : fire blocked or B : Better AI that doesn't actually know your location , having both is overkill.) But if the trees are just "poles" from the AI's POV there will be very little difference in how engagements from forests will go compaed to DCS 1 , other then the occasional lucky (or unlucky) missile that hits a tree. I get that in real life missiles and bullets would (probably) just go trough the trees' foliage , but in real life people can't see trough it. In the sim we need a compromise for the sake of realism. I hope this makes some sense. edit : i'm talking mostly about stuff like manpads and triple A , not radar guided sam sites that shoot their missiles straight upwards How did this get moved to wishlist? how the hell is this a wishlist post? what the actual ****?
  2. Do you think having a biased poll like that will stop people from voting no?
  3. Will we be able to tell tankers to change speeds? IMO this is crucial but i realise not alot of people use them so it's probably not that important :/ How hard can it be , just give the current "active" plane that's refuelling radio commands to have the tanker change speed to pre-set speeds that are set in the ME or just by the game itself
  4. I would love to see some rocket attacks with the new smoke effects.. doesn't have to be aimed at anything just a burst of rockets
  5. No , for the same reason as Outlawal2 stated. It just takes way too long for DCS planes to be developed that i'd much rather have them focus on something useful instead.
  6. Over the past few months i've really come around on the F-35. I think it looks great despite what people say, and it will be a worthy sucessor to the F-16 (i think anyway, even though it's not exacly the same thing.. but w/e) Though i do find it funny people have this need to constantly hate on the F-35. What do they think will happen? The US Gov't will read some youtube comments and suddenly decide to scrap the whole project? The F-35 is coming , it's gonna happen. I hope the haters will learn to deal with it. But the whole F-35 situation kinda reminds me of one of the couch gags in the simpsons though xD
  7. Pitch down or increase airspeed. Also i have to ask... are you using mk82air?
  8. Same here. I'm pretty sure i'll fly the old map just as much as NTTR , the maps are just so geographically different it really doesnt matter the textures look weaker in the original map
  9. Who isnt?! It's gonna be a massive game changer
  10. This almost makes sense, but if he wanted to hide an actual WIP module he could have given it the name and icon of an already existing one. Or just not a name and icon at all.
  11. Seeing how the game crashed several times and matt got an error every time there was some radio message i would say it's definitely NOT ready.
  12. Uh no , it was about the contrails , which definitely changed.
  13. The highlight for me was the scaling options that got announced inb4 elitist servers force it "off" because they think it's more realistic
  14. Weather in dcs isn't determined by the weather in real life. It can be anything you want it to be.
  15. It's as much about the wing as it is about the payload on the other wing.

    E3 2015

Fallout 4 definitely blew everything else away at E3 , it looks simply amazing. The one thing that worries me is if they've simplified the skill system. I'm pretty sure skills are just gone (intelligence increases XP gained , not skill points earned per level) and perks (one of the most fun parts of the game) are also gone (since none were showcased at all, other then the crafting related ones)... during the weapon modding part you could see certain things "require science : 2" so i'm guessing every level you get to put ONE point into certain skills , a completely different system compared to F3 and FNV. I think there's no doubt that it's gonna feel completely different from previous games. Wheter or not that's a good thing remains to be seen. Battlefront looked disappointing as hell , but that didn't surprise me at all. Sea of Thieves got me really excited as a fan of old pirate sandbox games like Sea Dogs and Age of Pirates
  17. Is that little screen under the radar display an EKRAN...?
