  1. Con tutto il rispetto, non capisco. Eagle dynamics ha iniziato a sviluppare War birds della seconda guerra mondiale e la community ha risposto bene. Io stesso adoro portare il mio Mustang e non vedo l'ora che rilascino il mio P47. Il fatto che si sia una mappa della seconda guerra mondiale é una cosa splendida e ancora di piú se pensiamo che completandola, eagle dynamics, ha supportato e mostrato rispetto verso voloro che avevano puntato su DCS WWII. La mappa stessa é stata allargata rispetto alla veraione iniziale e finalmente sta per essere rilasciata- il commento di Falco Blu perció a proposito di entusiasmo mi pare sconclusionato. Io chhe adoro anche questa sezione di DCS posso essere emozionato quanto mi pare. Il fatto che mi metti in stampatello SIMULATORE non mi spiega nulla. Se DCS fosse solo un simulatore MODERNO allora capirei... Il semplice fatto che simuli realisticamente (ed Eagle dynamics si é persino presa la briga di sviluppare unitá dell'epoca per rendere ancora più immersiva la mappa) non ha nulla a che vederencon unitá di un periodo storico piuttosto che un'altro.
  2. Tipo? Il semplice fatto che gli alberi sono oggetti "solidi" che bloccano la LOS (puntamento e tiro incluso) della AI rende questa mappa un pezzo molto importante ed interessante. Credo che oltretutto sia un testbed e una buona piattaforma di istruzione dei programmatori per il futuro delle mappe di DCS.
  3. Già solo gli alberi che bloccano la linea di vista, armi e veicoli vale da solo "il prezzo del biglietto" come si suo dire. Gli elicotteristi in Normandia vivranno nuova vita! :D

  9. Maybe I do like to argue but you're playing with semantic. Whatever, I'm not here to change any opinion. But by first hand experience with the Tornado I can assure you that Thrust Reverse is very powerful/efficient and can be used more times than the single use Chute. It's not something that needs to be on any plane but it's there to satisfy a specific need- hence the limited amount of military jet with it. Just as limited amount of jets had Harrier-like VTOL qualities. Cheers.
  10. You point was that they were inefficient. Which they are not. You other points are not wrong- added weight, maintenance and stuff- it's just that it's all due to Operational Requirement. Some planes need to land in short distance and do their own push-back. Some planes need variable geometry wings. Some need landing gears to land on Aircraft Carriers or refueling systems...

  12. Hi everyone, I'm a noob and I've been building proficiency in the A-10C and Huey in SP. Now, I'm not a native english speaker so that usually have me hesitate a lot before finding the courage to join a MP server. But reading about this Server makes me long for trying. It really feels exciting. :) I think I can drop in eventually. Name's Komemiute and I hope you'll bear some patience. Thank you for the Server and I apologize in advance for the mayhem I'm afraid I *could* create. :thumbup: EDIT: Is there any breviary for MP comms I should be aware of? (beside the usual basic brevities... I've been playing Falcon 3.0 and 4.0 ;) )

  15. Yes. Tristemente l'Intelligenza Artificiale non considera gli alberi come bloccanti per la "Line of Sight".

I've tried downloading today, several times, the templates from here https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/texture_templates/ whicever I choose, like this one https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/texture_templates/a-10c_template/ it seems like the download could start any moment but after a while it goes... "This site can’t be reached srv0files.eagle.ru took too long to respond." Anyone reports the same?:(
  19. Can I curiously ask what about any possible version of the A-6? Since a loooong time ago it's one of those planes I feel the need for. :P Sorry, but the book "Flight of the Intruder" and subsequently Strike Fighters 2 Vietnam really had me. Thanks anyway to RAZBAM for all their collective efforts! :thumbup:
  20. Concur with you. Progress might seems slow- and definitely at times it is. But overall this is pretty great and I wish I had more time to actually fly!:pilotfly:
  21. Removing unused / unwanted icons Hi there, not sure if this is the right part of the forums for this request, but I wanted to know something about the game's main menu. Along the bottom there's icons for each and every module available. Is there a way to remove them? If not just some of them, at least all. Sorry for the bother, Komemiute
