  1. I think SithSpawn's comments are valid. DCS is a small team and I have to believe that they are pouring all their efforts into 2.5 as this will be their foundation for their whole program in the future. Once the core is redone they will address bugs. Im hoping they will address some of the bigger issues with the re-design like multi-threading or improving CA AI performance etc. Ive also got to believe that they will take a closer look at Moose or a Moose type environment as this will only enhance the game and bring in more players. If you look at other systems like Arma, the scripting language has helped that product thrive for years and opened up the community to work in parallel with Bohemia to make the game compelling after all this time.

  10. Would like to see DCS work on performance for CA. Right now you have these big beautiful maps but if you try to have an engagement bigger than Battalion size the FPS starts to plummet. Having more than 20 groups (say 200 units) moving simultaneously will bring the system to its knees. They need to figure that out if CA is going to be a major contender.
  11. Someone also found a flag in the lua code that when changed prevents from see through trees and towns but cant find it. Anyone remember where that is.

  15. Place a mortar on the map. Give it a target. It never fires. Speed up clock. 10 minutes still no firing. Are place mortars ending up on the map with no ammo?
  16. You can set a place non-static unit on the map and designate it to be the target of a destroyer. The Destroyer will not shell it however but it will try to move to it and beach itself. Ships will fire at static objects like buildings on the map. Cruiser will fire a tomohawk,destroyers will shell however very briefly.

  19. huge improvement on the textures. I can actually find targets again in the su-25T. Yea :-)
  20. If you set an AI Helo on the ramp at an airport or in a parking space when mission is started they immediately fire up and want to take off even though no waypoints are provided. If upon take off you try to take control and set a waypoint they will sometimes not follow and just try to hover at the airport. If you start the mission with the Helo at a turning point, you can control its flight as normal.

  23. Flight Control Since your making a significant contribution with Moose, is it possible for you to get involved in the "Tester Version"? Grimes can he become a tester?
